It's literally across from the fishing area, picnic area, farthest from the traffic and road noise. The water has a fountain and ongoing movement of water, perhaps that's why it seems more natural looking vs stagnant and gross. Most of this area and the opposite side of the river is undeveloped so it has a nature feel that most campsites I've been to don't give. And I've been to lots of them. My Hubby and sons caught like 7, 8, and 20 fish they said. All catch and release. Tons of catfish & bass. Some are so huge. Keep staring at the water near the small metal dock there and you might see them all. We are in site 122. The road noise woke me up at 6am, so I put in my earplugs and slept until 9am. For my future self, make sure to keep a permanent earplug stash in the RV. Other times I've been in other sites and the noise wasn't an issue and we've stayed here at least 3-4x. It's not glamorous, it doesn't have a ton of extra like a pool, putting greens, pool table, snack bar, etc. But it does have a small, shaded kids play area, volleyball net, basketball hoop, shaded picnic tables. It's so country feeling and relaxing. Its quiet & thats what I prefer when I go camping. This is one of my favorite camping spots in the cooler months of early Spring like March. One day I'd like to come here & camp on my way to Yosemite or Kings Canyon. Great rates & highly suggest.

After politely informing one of the workers this after they almost hit my car with a forklift, they told me to "F*** off you have insurance." I asked several employees for that workers name but they all walked away from me. I called the owner Denny McCowan to inform him of the situation, who was instantly aggressive & argumentative before I could even get the full story out. He then ended the call by saying nothing I say or do matters & that my safety concerns were a waste of time. Unprofessional company ran by a weak man.

Visalia/Sequoia National Park KOA (Visalia, CA) June 18, 2023…read more We pulled in around 1 pm. We got checked in right away and were given a map to our site. We were here a couple years ago heading back from Barstow to Sacramento. It's a good in between stop. It was eerie when we were here before because the entire valley was socked in with forest fire smoke coming down from the Sierras. This time, the skies were clear and we could actually breathe. Funny thing how we take clean air for granted until we don't have it. But I digress. This park is similar to a lot of KOAs we've stayed at. They have a nice checkin counter and store with basic items, a swimming pool, game room with ping pong table, a propane refill station, and a laundry mat. The thing that's a little peculiar about this particular KOA is that it sits in the middle of a neighborhood. As you're driving in, you're thinking to yourself "are we in the right place?" But yes you are, as you see the familiar KOA signs at the entrance. They have RV and tent sites here. There do seem to be some long term residents as well, but overall, the park is quiet and reasonably well maintained. The trash area had trash overflowing on the first day we were here but that was gone by the next day. Probably the biggest disappointment was that the game room was closed. No ping-pong or pool on this day. The other thing that's problematic is they don't seem to have a very good security system. We were warned after arriving that there had been bicycle thefts from the park. Apparently the Goshen area, where this park is located, isn't the best part of Visalia. I didn't get a strong sense that that was a problem, but it's just something to be aware of. Your about 10 minutes away from Downtown Visalia, which is a nice area with some good breweries and eateries. We went there after we got camp set up and had lunch at Brewbaker Brewery (good food, limited beer selection - but good, nice atmosphere). Our main reason for staying here was to checkout Sequoia/Kings Canyon National Park, but be aware, you're still about 45 minutes from the park entrance gate. So the name of the RV park is a little misleading. The drive to the National Park is nice though. You go past Kaweah Lake and Three Rivers, which is along the Kaweah River. Not sure well come back here.

Upon arrival the sight of all the older then 20+years mobile homes, older trailers and campers with disheveled materials everywhere was scary. Then as we pulled into our reserved spot . A police car drove in & stopped & walked right up too my husband to ask "did you see a women breaking into that trailer?" (3 spots to our left). My husband said no and asked "is this a save place?" The Officer said "not really & I wouldn't stay here!" He gave my husband some names of nearby RV Parks in the area & it didn't take us too long to pull up our jacks, bring in our rooms and head to a KOA. It was like seeing hell and arriving in paradise! Wouldn't recommend to anyone.
