It provides a safe space and welcoming environment, while offering a sense of community for those in need. This year's turnout was amazing as individuals shared their personal experiences and spoke of the importance of PHA and how being a part of this association has changed their lives. Pulmonary Hypertension is a condition where the blood pressure in the arteries, which carries blood from the heart to the lungs becomes too high. The work this association has and continues to do is remarkable, which is why I will continue to be a supporter. If you know anyone with this disease, I would encourage you to share this association with them.

One duck waddled right up to my sister's plate as we sat on the grass and casually stole her pizza crust like it had been personally ordered for him. No hesitation. No shame. Just confidence. Apparently, the ducks received an invitation because they showed up ready to celebrate. They waddled in like family members arriving fashionably late, scouting the area for cake, chips, and party favors. These ducks don't simply visit; they mingle. They supervise. They network. One looked at me as if to say, "I'll fight you for the last piece of chicken." Needless to say, the ducks of Heritage Park have perfected the art of crashing a party. They may not bring presents, but they definitely leave with leftovers. And as for the gifts they leave behind... well, let's just say they're not the kind you want to unwrap.

The park is gorgeous, hidden in the quiet hills of La Mirada. It's a hot spot for locals and dog lovers. Super clean, everyone is respectful and kind which adds to the charm of this park and the pride of La Mirada. Unfortunately another large dog came in with his mom and decided to poop wayyyy too many times. I was worried about a virus so we left. Mom was trying to clean up but really just needed to take her sweet girl home. I was concerned about a stomach ailment since some feces was very loose, please go to the large dog side please next time. . My girls once they chilled a bit , first time, had a blast. Please be sure when you visit to close both gates on your way in and out and clean up after your fur baby. murphy ranch is a great park for beginners that are looking to hike. there's a main path that loops…read morearound and connects to smaller trails that are slightly more steep. there's "hardest" part of this trail is at the beginning going up the hill but it's truly not so bad, you'll figure that once you get past it. i was able to do the whole loop with a bad knee (i wore a brace of course) within 45 minutes with my girl friends. i did have to pace myself due to that but im sure it can be done sooner. there's a nice view of the city right around the middle of the trail! definitely worth checking out :)
