I wish I could give this place a negative star rating…read more Unfortunately, my recent experience with Longway Michigan Health Specialists, specifically with Chinara Arthur, DNP, was deeply disappointing and concerning. During my visit, I did not receive an appropriate examination--my vitals and throat were not checked--and I was dismissed with the comment, "Well, if you are speaking, you should go back to work." I have been in pain for several days and was seeking proper documentation to provide to my employer. I was informed when scheduling the appointment that paperwork could be completed for an additional fee, yet upon arrival, I was told it would not be filled out unless I was seen a second time. The dismissive and unprofessional demeanor displayed during the appointment only added to the distress of the situation. I rarely seek medical care, and experiences like this reinforce the hesitation many patients feel when reaching out for help. This is not reflective of the standard of care one should expect from a healthcare provider.

I am now just going to see a different Dr. in a different place, because I can't deal with their strong-arm practices!! Like forcing you to have a procedure done even if you do not want it or require it, just so you can see your doctor about a medial concern you have!! Like strong-arming you into having a yearly physical and trying to tell you it is required by your insurance company when in fact it isn't!! Only to get more money out of them and you, when some have to pay in cash for these services, my insurance company has told me repeatedly that this is NOT required!! just to see your Doc for something simple like the flu!! even the Michigan Medical Board is upset about this type of mis-practice!! You should be able to see your doctor for what medial concerns you have without being forced to have something else done first that you don't need or want just to be seen for what you are worried or concerned about in the first place!!
