It had this umami taste and it was one of the best tempura sauces that I have ever tasted. We love Kama and order it at every Japanese restaurant that we go to. It had a good flavor, I wish it had more of char to it but the collar was a good size and came with a piece of fish. The accompany sauce was good but I felt like we went back to the tempura sauce all the time. The Gyoza was well prepared. They have other small plates to nibble while you wait - and if you're hungry, you'd better order one of these because they are slow, of course, they're slow because they make your ramen to order, so at least you know they took their time preparing it, plus the place is nice so a bit of a wait with something to drink and nibble is not that bad. Plus you get to do some people-watching among the clients! Among the drinks, they have japanese teas and beers. I had the pork and cabbage ramen and a glass of Asahi. No flavor whatsoever, sautéed the ground pork! Then toss with sauce! Please -clams... This was a confusing dish.. either make it as dry sautéed in black bean sauce or in broth... no semi-brothy. Not good flavors. -the fried rice... was so sad... the flavors were fighting each other... too oily. No "wok hay" whatsoever. It's a very sad dish.
