I booked this hair and makeup artist last year for my August 2026 wedding and paid a deposit to secure my date. Everything seemed fine at the time of booking, but when I reached out in January to schedule my trial, I received no response. I followed up multiple times over the course of four months via email, text, and phone calls--ignored every time. My wedding planner also attempted to contact her on my behalf, with no success. At this point, it is clear this is not a case of a missed message or temporary delay--Yessie ghosted me as a client. Because of this, I was forced to find and book a new hair and makeup artist under time pressure, adding unnecessary stress during what is already a busy planning period. To make matters worse, I never received my deposit back. For other future brides out there, please do not let Yessie scam you. Taking a client's deposit and then completely disappearing without any communication or services rendered is unacceptable.

She books trials too close to the date, so when the trial went sideways, I had to add a to do to the busy planning, which wasn't ideal. Kendra seems to have a one size fits all approach to makeup, and she doesn't listen. She has a heavy handed approach to application (see her instagram). She is condescending and makes little snide comments that are little biting insults. When I mentioned that my eyebrows were way too dark and overdone, her response "eyebrows are a non-negotiable"... umm, wth is that about? Anyway, upon calling other artists, it seems that Kendra has quite the reputation with her peers. They've heard my story from other folks that have attempted to work with Kendra. Recently, Kendra has announced that she is "mostly" retiring from makeup application, but beware that she is still hiring out makeup artists under her KLS business. There are numerous other capable professionals in the area, and I would highly recommend looking to them if you have any interest in natural and flattering makeup. I gave kendra the opportunity to make this right with a partial refund, which she chose to ignore.

I said, the preview is 150, I paid your company 312.00 her response "well 150 for the preview, 50 for the travel and I guess 100 was a deposit" I asked her to send me something in writing. I had many emails with Arianna's team when booking, and coordinating the trial hair + makeup (for me), and day-of hair + makeup for myself and my bridal party. Arianna's admin team was always responsive within a reasonable timeline, and took extra efforts to reach me (text, calls, follow up emails) for anything time sensitive. The most important part of my experience - how absolutely talented Arianna is! Arianna did my trial makeup ~1 month before my wedding and I was so glad I booked that service. It allowed her to run with my initial vision, then allowed me to see what changes I wanted for day-of. Arianna remembered and flawlessly executed my requested changes from the trial look (more of a cat-eye, standard vs subtle lashes, tighter styled updo) on my wedding day. Speaking of my wedding, it was a 95-100 degrees and sunny for my mostly-outdoor wedding! I was worried I'd sweat off some of my makeup, and my hair wouldn't hold the styles nor curls after pictures, none the less making it through the ceremony and reception. I don't know how Arianna did it but my hair and makeup stayed THE ENTIRE DAY. My photographer was also impressed with the long lasting details. My only touch ups were reapplying lipstick, and lightly re-circling the hair framing my face.
