They are straight forward, helpful and knowledgeable. I prefer to check in with these guys first for anything that I might need for climbing, skiing or biking. Keep it up, buddy bear!

My first thought was that my ancient shock pump finally wore out. But both of my 26" wheels also need trueing badly so I figured I would bring it in to be tuned. When I got to the shop the first question from the guy checking me in was, do you really want to spend any money on this bike? I let him know that I didn't have the budget for a new bike this year so I just wanted to keep it on the trails a little longer. I asked if they could test one of their shock pumps on the rear suspension before sending it off for a full-rebuild from Dirt Labs which was quoted as $250 plus shipping. He assured they would look into it before dissembling it. He also said they would true the tires and rebuild the front fork as well. He said it would be ready in about 15 days and they would give me a call. 10 days later they call and say it's ready to pick up. $300 - except they couldn't true the wheels (which rub terribly) because the spokes are corroded, and they couldn't rebuild the front fork. So just got a 15 year old suspension rebuild for $300 on a bike I paid $250 for. Well I definitely wouldn't have rebuilt the rear suspension if I knew I now needed to buy new 26" wheels. Still wasn't too mad. Friend shows up to Lake City, opens the van and they gave him a 2025 Yeti. Roughly a 9k bike. Laughing and being the great guy I am, I called back and said "I think you guys made a mistake. I paid my friend $50 to bring me my bike from Gunnison, and you gave him the wrong bike." The guy on the phone started giving me attitude! He said "oh we need that back right away!" I offered to bring it back 2 days later when I had a flight out of Gunnison - citing the 3 hour round trip drive and the fact that I was working those days. Here's the kicker, finally get my bike back and the rear shock still needed air. Hooked up my shock pump and listened more closely to the air spewing out the house and watched the suspension deflate. Got a new pump, filled it right back up. I guess it's possible they looked at the rear suspension and determined it needed a rebuild. But that doesn't explain not telling me about the wheels or fork, or the joke of mixing up a $250 2009 26" and a $9000 2025 29". Won't be back. Still feeling like I got ripped off. And I still need new wheels to ride my bike.

Both are fabulous, hardworking ladies. Somehow, we were the only two guests on the raft with Anela, so we felt we had personalized service and room to spread out. I believe there were 4 other rafts that morning with all of us cruising down the river together. The morning of the tour, we arrived a bit early. The ladies in the shop had us fill out the necessary waiver. There is a selection of merchandise available to purchase and a small restroom available to use in the shop. The van ride to the launch area was fairly short. The guides handed out life jackets to each guest and made sure the life jackets were nice and snug. No helmets or wetsuits were needed. Before getting on the rafts, Anela gave the morning safety speech of what to do if someone should fall out of the raft. Fortunately, no one did on our tour. The week prior to our tour, the area had received rain each day, so Anela mentioned that the water level in the river had come up. Our tour was a few hours long and a very relaxing float. There were a few slightly choppy areas on the river, but nothing rough at all. The scenery along the Rio Grande is beautiful. We had the option of jumping out of the raft at one location, and only one guide in the group decided to jump out. I personally wasn't sure how I'd get back in the raft, LOL. Our guide Anela was fantastic, super friendly and informative. The beauty of the mountains was incredible. We will book again next summer!

As soon as we arrived at the shore to depart the sky opened and poured down icy hail! We contemplated continuing on with our tour, as we booked for 8 people (prices were great, but 8 bookings adds up), however our guides were very supportive of the fact that the weather was well past inclement and offered to allow us to rebook the tour for later in the day. I am so grateful we had that opportunity! Our party included 2 adults and 6 children ranging from a toddler to teens and it was perfect for everyone. All of the staff were extremely friendly and we can tell the family that runs the operation takes pride in their work and business.
