Lovely stay at another perfect Premier Inn. The only slight, very slight, negative was the room being much smaller than any room we have had on previous occasions. The staff is warm and welcoming, "special shout out to Ian", it was clean, the grounds were beautiful, the room was spacious, complimentary KitKats and beverages in the room daily, and great bathroom. A quick note on the subject of the bathroom; it was good size, had a tub with shower, great water pressure, plenty of hot water, and good quality complementary toiletries. There is a restaurant onsite serving delicious woodfired cooked pizzas with great service. The bar was warm and welcoming with attentive staff and lively conversations. On top of everything else it is a nearly perfect location. You are a quick walk from the train station and the center of town where all of the attractions are located. This hotel does not have AC in the rooms but it is York so usually that would not be much of a problem but when we visited it was a heat wave. That being said they did give us a fan and it was really not that bad because it stayed reasonably cool as well as it cooling more at night. In short I cannot recommend this hotel enough and we look forward to hopefully staying there again if we are so fortunate.

The walls have beautiful wallpaper and there are tons of cute touches like three sheets of gold-pressed The Grange stationary. The location is just outside York and close to the park and ride so very convenient for visiting the city sights without the hassle of driving. Unfortunately the hotel restaurant was very disappointing with tasteless food but there's nowhere within walking distance as an alternative (apart from a pub with potentially even worse food) so we were forced to eat lacklustre dinner two nights running. If visiting York again I would stay in the city centre where there's plenty of good restaurants to choose from. It's a shame because the hotel was great.

Location, location,location!…read more You honestly can't beat the location of the Dean Court Hotel which is situated across from the York Minister. Prime location for walking the city walls, the Shambles, and more. Our room was tiny but there was room to prop suitcases on the desk and luggage rack. The bathroom was nice and modern and a good size in comparison to the room. Breakfast was included and I enjoyed coffee, yogurt and fruit. Some of the items on the breakfast line weren't available such as the breakfast lemon cake. Our only problem was that there was no hot water for showering in the morning!! Apparently there was a power outage in the middle of the night and hot water was not restored yet. When we checked out in the morning they were very nonchalant about it and didn't even really apologize for the inconvenience. They just stated the fact that it was out. It was definitely disappointing to not be able to start our day with a hot shower.

They have cereal, breads, wafers, english breakfast, yogurt, nice coffee machine with different coffee types to choose from (plus hot chocolate), some juice selection, and a variety of tea. There's a lot of tourists staying in this hotel though so you better go to breakfast early to get a seat. The room doesn't have a refrigerator but you can ask for ice at the front desk. You can also request for a bath mat since the shower floor is a little slippery. You also need to bring conditioner if you use one since theirs was watered down and they didn't refill their lotion bottle too. For people with babies, a crib can be requested too. The room size was a bit small though. If you want to have your room cleaned, you have to tell the front desk.
