Beautifully renovated, amazing amenities, great location and lots of amazing little details and decor - Including a historic Cotter gallery wall. ***The rates are So reasonable. You can rent the whole place for your family or friend vacay. My room was spacious and filled with windows and light, and the beds are comfy! It's so charming and felts like a luxury adult lodge/resort/summer camp. The big open communal spaces are fantastic - the living room, which also includes rustic picnic benches for dining & the big open kitchen has huge, dual refrigerators and lots of prep space. They have every kitchen accessory that you could need. I love that they have coffee at every entrance and in different locations around the hotel. Great hosts who provide lots of local dining and activity information. Commercial hotel is a must if you're staying in or around the Cotter and White river or Buffalo River area! Or just make a stop over and make sure you take a tour of big Springs Park, a dip in the swimming hole or a walk across the bridge or breakfast at the Sands. Great kayaking and fishing are minutes away.

We rented one of their golf carts to get down to the marina, which I especially appreciated because I was recovering from knee surgery. We brought our two dogs and stayed for a Thursday and Friday night in August. The campground was clean, peaceful, and not overcrowded. Our RV site had a view of Norfolk Lake, and had full hookups and Wi-Fi access. We highly recommend Keller's Cove Cabin and RV Park.

The hosts, Michelle and Albert were so friendly and accommodating. We also stayed at this resort with the previous owners and loved it. Unaware that it had new owners, we reserved 2 cabins for 3 nights at 80 a night per cabin plus pet deposit. Checked in on Thursday took the kids swimming (nice pool) used the only towls we had (room towls) . On the way back from the pool we asked for fresh towls to shower. We were very rudely told we were not supposed to use those towls at the pool . I explained we had no others and did not know we were not allowed to use them . She then very grudgingly got up and got us 3 towels ( for 2 rooms 8 people) and scolded me again for using them. I felt so bad I told her if she like I would take them and wash them. (No washer on site) SATURDAY asked AGAIN for clean towls and was told NO WE USED OURS AT THE POOL. 8 people now not showered for 3 days because we can't dry off with clean towls. Also they watched everything you did. We were extremely uncomfortable. Will NEVER stay again. And will tell everyone why. Also FYI. Others at the pool were also talking about how bad customer service was.. 6-9 thru 6-12 2022

New washers and dryers, credit card or app to pay. They have re-done some of their water valves so they don't freeze and if they do it's easier to repair. We reserved a pull through because we are towing a vehicle on a trailer the clean out is at the very beginning of the pull in we had to use every extension to get tot he clean out hat we had. The site was really not level at all so then it would drain to the clean out because it was up hill and very far away. It was a process to clean out the hose and get all of the water out we had to lift the pipe 4' off the ground to get it to drain doing this caused the hose to come apart and got all over myself. Needless to say I wasn't very happy. They need to move this to the center of the pull throughs.

This review is for the restaurant that's attached to the motel. Years ago, this was one of the…read moremost popular restaurants in the Western part of Baxter County. They had great breakfast and lunch specials, and dinner was affordable and tasty too. Home made pies were a specialty of the house. Prices were very reasonable. A change in ownership, in my opinion, resulted in a decline in food quality and service. Although there was still some pretty decent food being served, the prices started to climb and menu offerings became more limited. The last few times I ate there the food was just so-so. You could do worse for lunch, but it's not worth going out of your way for. I've noticed the crowds aren't there anymore either.

White Sands Motel has been sold and the new owners have renamed the motel Cotter Trout Lodge. The…read morenew owners are in the process of trying to get sites such as this updated but it is not easy. There are a lot of them!!! BTW, the previous post has nothing to do with the White Sands Motel. The White Sands Motel (now Cotter Trout Lodge) does not own the White Sands Restaurant. But I do know all the locals eat at the White Sands Restaurant. I live one block from the motel and recommend both the NEW (remodeled) motel AND the restaurant.
