We came here to spend the night at any hotel we could as apparently most hotels are booked on a Saturday or cost your first born child. We got lucky and booked this hotel. When we drove up we kinda thought, ehhh doesn't look like anything special. When we walked in however, it was a different story. So first off, we met Reid. Reid was the front desk employee of the night. Reid was super cool. I saw behind Reid some crystal trophies. Reid explained this Ramada was Ramada of the year. I thought that was awesome. We were upgraded to a king size bed. Thanks Reid for that. The room was super nice. I definitely was not expecting any of this. The bathroom was also very nice and clean. I hope sleeping tonight will be as pleasurable as my experience is so far. I'd come back here again!

I loved the room had hard floors and no rugs! That's a bonus.

SURPRISED I was really surprised at how beautiful this Ramada was. It might be the nicest Ramada I've ever been too. Check in was easy and the front desk guy was nice. They offered some delicious fresh pineapple water in the lobby too. That was a nice tropical touch even though it was snowy and minus 5 outside. The room was big and clean. I loved that they had hard vinyl fake wood floors and no rugs. That always feels cleaner to me, especially at a hotel. I even found some swan towels kissing on the bed. What? This seems like a Disney touch and not a Minnesota Ramada. Thanks to the staff for crafting the bathroom towel artwork. The fitness room was really nice too. All of the equipment was in great working condition. That doesn't happen often at a Ramada. The management really takes pride in keeping the hotel well maintained. Breakfast was probably the worse part about this hotel. Honestly the breakfast looks amazing. You can check my photos but the ham and sausage were horrible quality. I couldn't even eat it. I had to throw it away and I never throw away food. I stay in a lot of hotels and this was a total miss. The sad part is they served the same meat on day two. No! Are you trying to torture me! Also the scrambled eggs were listed as made with milk. I'm sure this is a lie because they eggs were not light and fluffy. Again the quality was bad and I had to toss the eggs too. On a side note the hash browns were good and crispy. Honestly that never happens at a hotel breakfast buffet. This item is always soggy. I'd recommend sticking to the waffle machine because that is what I did and I never eat waffles at the hotel buffet. I also had an issue on day 2 with the wifi in the hotel. It was not a pleasant experience to fix. The front desk guy was useless. He blamed my iPhone which made no sense because my iPhone worked perfectly on day one. He told me I needed to call tech support. This person again blamed my iPhone and was kind of a jerk. I worked in the tech world for 18 years and I know when someone is treating me like an idiot. He wanted me to download a search engine. I finally told him how to fix it. He did it reluctantly but guess what? My wifi started working again. Wow! The hassle was so not worth it. There's also plenty of free parking which is a huge bonus. I usually get back late from work on the road and there's never a close spot. In fact, I found a spot next to the door at 11pm which was awesome. If I find myself back in Minnesota for work I will definitely stay here. The rooms were clean and the gym equipment worked. The breakfast ain't great but hopefully they fix that.

    Just more lies and omissions.

The parking lot is big. There was construction at the front of the building, however, which frustratingly blocked direct access to the convention area from the outside. It also meant no cars could drive up to the main entrance, which wasn't ideal considering the amount of rain over that weekend. Check-in was fast and included the famous chocolate chip cookie. My room was on the 10th floor. There were four elevators and all were in working order. I rarely had a wait. I usually could make it from the 2nd floor, where the convention occurred, to my room in a minute or two. My room had a single comfortable bed. A mini fridge was hidden in the cabinet under the TV, and the door latched so securely that I just left it ajar so I didn't have to fight it. There was a lot of space in the bedroom and the bathroom, but there is very little bathroom counter space. The tub/shower is a bit weird but not hard to figure out. There are large pumps on the wall for shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, which are so much better than the tiny bottles! That said, the shampoo bottle was either almost out or clogged, as I had to fight to get anything out of it for my two showers. The ceiling in the bathroom had significant bubbling indicative of a water leak or overflow from above at some point. My room was very quiet at night. I didn't even need ear plugs. The street noise didn't even stand out during the day because of how the building is set back from the main thoroughfare. The convention spaces seemed perfectly serviceable, too, and were kept clean. I'm left with an okay impression of the hotel. I'd be fine staying here again for this convention, but the building is showing some considerable wear.

It was easier resting at the hospital. No rest here. The sheets smelled like they don't use soap on them. Even after I inquired if they had been washed, and it looked like the bed had been made, the sheets still smell less than fresh. Front desk staff was nice. TV placement was odd, but that was the least of the issues here. The breakfast was good. Cool to have chia seeds and healthier options than bagels and cereal. I wish there was a tub vs a shower only, but I need to start requesting that when I book. Signage could be better. Really hard to find, and sorta lost in a sea of apartments and restaurants.

We stayed in a Queen Suite, which was truly very large and spacious. It's a very long room. It does appear to have been renovated somewhat recently. I'm not sure how to descibe the cleanliness--the room was essentially clean but the beds appeared to be rather lazily made, the bedding did have some small stains and there were two little black hairs in the bathroom (yuck!!). I had a terrible time trying to fall asleep--the room was anything but quiet--people were making noise in the parking lot, doors slamming in the hallway, the AC unit was so loud, and it sounded like the person in the room above me was stomping with every step. The entire property is nonsmoking, which is great, until you have to walk by people in front of the entrance smoking cigarettes and cigarillos and thru their second hand smoke. Overall, this place was fine but I'll make a different choice the next time I have to stay in Minneapolis.
