Stayed here 2 nights for a work trip. Check-in was smooth, but the woman who checked me in was definitely micro-aggressive. I watched her be warm with other guests, but that changed up for me. I thought I read her wrong, so I watched her with the guest after me and she was super nice with them as well. My first room had what appeared to be blood splatter on the lampshade, so I asked to be moved. The second room had a bit of damage that I was going to see past, but then I turned on the AC and it was so loud I couldn't hear myself think. I went to the desk again and they sent an engineer to work on it. He did get it down, but it was still humming a bit so he recommended I just move again. Third room was okay. The beds are amazing, but the walls are paper thin. So thin to where I woke from hearing someone else's alarm though the wall!! Due to COVID they do not have housekeeping unless you request. When I requested fresh towels at the desk, they did bring them while I was out, but they left the dirty ones behind. Thought I planned to, I did not get around use the pool or the gym, but I did walk around and view both and they were decent. The pool is indoor and heated. They gym is 24 hours. I did not eat at the restaurant, but I did attempt to go to the Starbucks which oddly closes at 9:30am on weekdays. I've never known a Starbucks to close so early, so I had no idea when I went my first morning before my event. I'm not really sure WHAT was going on there...but first they were like WE'RE CLOSED. Ok make sense, but yet my coworker was getting coffee?? Then, they verbally offered to still make me a drink, while giving body language like they didn't want to. But then they still offered to make the drink, so I obliged and my coworker paid for it. Then the workers disappeared to the back, and it seemed like no one was making the drink, so we asked someone else about it. That lady came over and one of the people who acted funny tried to give it to me for free. But As mentioned my co-worker had already paid...so they took my name down for a free drink the next day. Too bad I left for the airport at 6:45 and they didn't open til 7. Just all around weird vibes. Anyhoo. I interacted with John the most, as he was the person who drove the shuttle most times. He was absolutely a gem, such a sweet man.

By recommendation by our potential client, we booked at this fairly sizable and modern Minneapolis Marriott West Hotel. The hotel is located in St. Louis Park which is near US Bank Stadium. When we first arrived they welcomed us with a complimentary glass of red or white wine. The Hotel was combined in physical structure to their Court Yard hotel which was very convenient. The Marriott Hotel room was spacious with a luxurious modern bathroom along with a very comfortable bedroom bed. The fitness center was well equipped and the indoor pool was fairly large well maintained. In addition, there was an Irish Pub part of the complex that one can find sporting events on flat screens along with a comfortable bar area. This is one of the better Marriott Hotels that I have recently lodge in the past year.

Came here for a career fair. Friendly staff showed me to the conference room. They had setup a nice refreshment station with soda, coffee, and more. This is a very nice hotel. It just wasnt out of this world which is why I'm giving it the 4 stars

When you stay at a Marriott in the middle of a blizzard and have status, at least they will upgrade you! My suite was way more than I needed for a one night stay, but it was sweet! Everything looked spotless. The hotel is gorgeous with fireplaces in the lobby and restaurant - equally photo worthy and cozy. If I had more time, I would have loved reading there with a cup of tea. We had a small meal in the restaurant and enjoyed Kip's French Onion Soup. It was very convenient to check in and out on the app and get a mobile key. Perfect stay!

Come Marriott, you can do better at cleaning a room before a new guest checks in.

Come on Marriott, your staff needs to do better at cleaning the rooms before a new guest checks in. I love Cheese it's, but not ones left behind by the previous occupant.

I'm surprised, quite honestly, that this establishment didn't receive higher rankings, on average. Admittedly, it's not as fancy as some of the huge Marriotts in our nation's most prominent entertainment cities, but I felt the value was superlative and the amenities were solid. We had some slight issues with the heater on night one - apparently the coils get funky every so often when it's NEGATIVE NINE DEGREES outside. Don't even get me started on why someone would choose to live in weather like that. A maintenance guy came up stairs around midnight and banged it fixed in 5 minutes. Well done. The front desk was helpful throughout our stay, the beds were comfortable, the TV worked, the soaps/shampoo were nice-smelling ... though I think I had a little bit of an allergic reaction to the lotion. I stopped using it after I noticed. Not the first travel goop that reacts with me. This is not the hotel's fault. The restaurant downstairs was convenient, the shower water pressure was above-average, and overall, I liked it. I often have issues sleeping the first night in a hotel bed, but I did just fine here despite being on west coast time. Oh, I believe we were in a suite, too, and still it was only a few bucks more than a Motel 6 on the California Coast. So, there's that.

This Marriott West located 15 minutes off the 394 from Minneapolis is unique since the Courtyard connects to this hotel. Its not very simple to access from the freeway but provides privacy and less car traffic due to the location but can be seen from the 394 freeway. The only restaurant is the Irish pub and unfortunately is now serving dinner only. A Starbucks kiosk opens in the mornings to replace the former breakfast routine provided by the attached restaurant. The 7th floor is also closed and housekeeping is suspended during covid 19. The good news 8s that the restaurant is good for dinner selection and the fitness center is 24 hours and provides stress relief. Other restaurant choices are a few miles away and a major mall is 10 minutes away by taking side streets. The front desk staff is very professional but be wary of guests who will make verbal comments or snipes if you don't wear a mask in closed spaces such as the elevator. Parking is free and easily available and the lobby is clean, comfortable, and inviting to all to use. Koi fish are welcoming when you first walk towards the main doors. I would have given a higher rating if there was housekeeping or the management would have arranged another comparable option to get lounge privileges substituted.

As traveling artist we stay at a lot of hotels this one is by far our favorite. The staff was kind and accommodating, check in was so easy and fast! The room was spacious and all the furniture is up to date and comfortable. The bathroom had the best lighting for makeup for our show and the shower had double heads. The closet was cleverly hid behind the sliding bathroom door, and we were able to iron our costumes. Thank you so much for making us feel like home even though we are over 1200 miles away from Charlotte NC.

Just outside the door to Kips... Early November morning... About 16°.

This Marriot is a pretty nice hotel. I would give them 5 stars except for the goo all over the front of the chest of drawers the TV sits on. The people were excellent the whole facility was beautiful and super clean (with the above exception). Kips Irish pub and restaurant is amazing! I would come back here again... But I will not be coming to Minnesota again in November ! OMFG ITS COLD!

My boyfriend and I drank wine and enjoyed the night views before dinner. The room was very comfortable! The bed was soft yet firm and the pillows were feather. It just had a luxurious feel to it! The tv in the room was huge! There is a minibar but of course it's expensive! There was a shower with a rainfall shower head, as well as a large soaking tub! Felt so good! All of the complimentary products smelled amazing! There are food/ bar options on the property. I have heard good things about them! We opted to go to Stock and Bond which is about a mile away and was VERY GOOD! While we were at dinner, someone brought up a chilled bottle of prosecco and small dessert. There was also a card of my boyfriend's birthday! A very welcome touch! This place does have breakfast you can order to your room! Or lunch, dinner, snacks, depending on the time of day. The menu looks great! This is a beautiful and clean property! Everyone was very friendly and I would happily stay here again!

The general store in the lobby was a great place to stop and grab a coffee. I found the prices in there pretty reasonable, of course it could be because I live in California so the Minnesota prices were pretty low for me. The lobby ambiance is upscale but also perfect if you need to do a a little bit of work. Not worth the hype…read more Was genuinely excited to stay at the W Minneapolis from Dec 19-22, but unfortunately the experience ended up feeling underwhelming, and stressful. Cost. The W is expensive, which shouldn't surprise anyone. Nightly rates hover around $200+ per night. Valet parking is $60 per night; objectively overpriced, though undeniably convenient. Additional fees: Pet owners, expect a $100 flat fee plus $25 per night, which adds up quickly. Where things start to fall apart is navigation and access to information. The hotel is surprisingly confusing to get around, and there's virtually no wayfinding or signage. In fully embracing the digital-only approach, the hotel has eliminated all traditional paper materials. No map. No room book. No quick-reference guide. Everything lives digitally. That sounds modern--until you need basic information like restaurant hours. eg). I attempted to visit the bar on floor 27 at around 330 pm. (It doesn't open until 5pm) However none of this is clearly displayed, and SUPER difficult to find without messaging the front desk and the Marriott app was hit-or-miss at best during my stay. The digital key never worked once, and even the room phone didn't function. That wouldn't be a huge issue if the app worked reliably--but it didn't. I did message the front desk through the app to request a USB-C charging cable and was told none were available. In 2025. At a W. That felt less like sleek minimalism and more like missed fundamentals. Food/ Room Service: Absolutely excellent. Manny's Steakhouse and the Prohibition Bar are both fantastic and independently operated in partnership with the hotel. See Manny's Steakhouse for a full review, it alone was a highlight of the stay. The room itself was very spacious, but it's important to remember this is an old building, and it shows. I struggled to maintain a consistent water temperature the entire stay. The room layout was also frustrating: the TV is mounted far from the bed, on a wall shared with neighboring rooms. Turning up the volume even slightly resulted in a noise complaint from next door. Yep, that actually happened. Overall, the W Minneapolis has style, history, and good food...but the experience feels more focused on image than guest usability. With better wayfinding, reliable tech, and basic in-room information, this could be a great stay. As it stands, it didn't live up to the hype
