Maria was poised in the lobby today, anticipating our every need. The hotel has been there for decades, but it is always the clean, quiet, and comfortable... quality we seek. Weekday prices are very affordable and the location is central to all of the things we love to do. It's not bad for events in the city and even St Paul (you will drive about 45 minutes but the freeway is right there). Ridgedale mall is directly across from the hotel for shopping and dining.

ABSOLUTE WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD…read more I woke up during my stay to find my hotel room flooded with contaminated toilet water. The water spread throughout the room, damaging my personal property, including electronics, clothing, and other belongings. The flooding itself was bad enough, but what happened afterward was even more concerning. After the incident, I personally observed hotel staff placing fans in the room to dry it out. What I found troubling was that, to my knowledge, the carpet was not replaced, and I later observed the room being rented to another guest. As a customer, this raised serious concerns for me regarding cleanliness, sanitation, and how the situation was handled after a room had been contaminated by toilet water. I immediately reported the incident, took photographs, recorded video, provided receipts, and submitted documentation for the damaged property. Despite my cooperation, I have spent weeks attempting to obtain updates regarding my claim. The claim was referred to Gallagher Bassett, and I have communicated with Senior Resolution Manager Abby G. Corter. I have also communicated with General Manager Deepak Subbaiah. Unfortunately, obtaining updates and meaningful communication regarding my damaged property has been extremely difficult. As a paying guest, I expected a safe and properly maintained room. After my property was damaged through no fault of my own, I expected accountability, communication, and prompt resolution. Instead, I have experienced delays, frustration, and a lack of urgency. I have photographs, videos, receipts, and documentation supporting the flooding incident and the resulting damage. If you stay here, I strongly recommend documenting everything and carefully inspecting your room. My experience has been extremely disappointing, and I will continue to update this review as the claim progresses. Very disappointing experience and not what I expected from a Marriott-branded property.

This venue is a hidden gem for dancers!…read more The best line dancing lessons from qualified instructors in the Twin Cities area. The instructors here have been dancing and teaching for over 30 years! The floor is huge, well cared for and clean. Very smooth real wood floors perfect for dancing. All levels of lessons are available here for students of all abilities. Wednesday nights are the best nights for beginners! Kerry is an amazing internationally renowned instructor. And she really breaks down the steps and explains it so everyone does well. Fun weekly classes on at least 3 different nights. And a monthly social event on a weekend nights. Sometimes more than once a month! And there are several special events held here with famous line dance instructors from all over the USA AND WORLD throughout the year. There's also an outdoor pavilion / picnic shelter. Theres also a successful community garden! It is large with over 40 plots that are well cared for. There waitlist to get into the garden plots is something you should get on asap if your interested in joining this community garden. You can join the membership to save a little bit of money on the very reasonable cover charges for dancing and events.

This may be the last of the breed. A true COMMUNITY CLUB!…read more Member supported, and old school as heck! Membership is truely open to all, whether you live nearby or not, and dues are affordable ($50 family, more or less for individuals at various levels). It just really needs more people involved. Like, NOW! They host line dancing lessons a couple times per week, and (rarely), other social evnets that are open to the public. Mostly, it's just a large green space and rental hall, these days. I've been to a couple weddings here and a company picnic, and it's really a VERY nice set up. The ballroom has a large dance floor, a stage, small bar, and plenty of room for tables, then there's another "meeting" room with a long bar and more space, either for a buffet, or seperate event. They have a patio and pavilion right outside, plus a baseball diamond. As I understand it, rental rates are VERY competitive, and while it's far from glam, it's fairly well maintained and easy to decorate to your liking. The large patio, covered picnic area, and playground gives it major points above the typical rental hall, in my opinion. Unfortunately, they need new membership and more revenue BAD, or it could be taken over for suburban development. It holds 5 acres of BEAUTIFUL land in a convenient, yet quiet location ( that the City of Plymouth would make more money off of as condos or something), and since it's heyday in the 70s and 80s, the more motivated and social membership seems to have died out, leaving it vacant far more often than it needs to be. They are passively looking for groups interested in coming in to have events there such as ZUMBA, Scrapbooking, classes, etc.. I would love to see it utilized much more than it is (for public AND private events), but it's truely a hidden gem....probably too hidden to survive, sadly. http://www.wmlcc.org/ (The bartender picture on the homepage is TOTALLY fake. That's not what their bar is like at all. Haha!) If you're looking for a rental hall or venue and can handle the 'burbs (it's actually very close to Hwy 55, and not far from 3 other major highways) I'd definitely suggest checking it out. Disclaimer: I'm actually a member.... Feel free to tell them Alexis sent you, in any case, or let me know if you want to see about getting in there! I know who to ask.

The Hotel Landing is a great place to host an event, work lunch, conference, meetings or an event!…read more One event was in the main lobby- small but fit plenty of vendors and the event room was a good size with a PowerPoint - served alcohol and NA options! Parking: free after 6pm, valet available, street parking - have to pay up until 6pm (2-3hr parking) Food: steak, chicken with pesto and potatoes with asparagus - everything was delicious! My steak was medium well- would have loved well done but it was part of the event so I can't complain! Dessert: the tray of dessert was good! Tirimisu (I've had better), cannoli - tasty and light, Lemon tart was definitely a hit I enjoyed two events there and it was a great experience! Staff were nice!

I've stayed in several luxury hotels, 4 seasons being one of them with way more accommodations for the price. Champagne upon arrival, champagne in our room very attentive staff etc. they do however have complimentary bike rentals which was a very fun surprise, we took a little stroll around, it's great being near so many restaurants walking distance. There was also a shuttle driver so that was a great addition. Our room service however took over 50 minutes to arrive.. we didn't get waters which I feel is a typical thing to provide with room service and my coffee arrived cold. we wanted late check out , they offered an additional hour and if we wanted any longer than that it would be an additional $75. No thank you. I too feel very out of place here in wayzata, so I don't know if it's a town I'd keep on my radar for future stays.
