I highly recommend this hotel! We had a Marine Unit reunion there, just this past weekend. The place was clean and beautiful. The plants were even real and green throughout the lobby. The desk staff and the owner were welcoming and accommodating. The location is perfect as it is right there near the Quantico Marine Corps Base Gate, but not in the middle of some noisy city. The beds are soft. I slept better there than I have anywhere in years. We visited Washington DC, toured Quantico, went to Marine Barracks 8th and I, and were able to hop on the freeway and get to our hotel, out of the anarchy of the busy City for rest and rejuvenation. Very reasonably priced. Very clean room, bathroom and comfortable beds no frills and the manager was exceptional, making sure everything was to our satisfaction. He was also very helpful in suggesting some of the local restaurants. Everyplace he recommended were amazing. Breakfast in the morning was okay , eggs, sausage, toast, bagels, sweet selection, fresh fruits, yogurt and of course beverages. Food area was immaculate. Only disappointment was the pool was covered and not available. Property VERY to Marine Corps Museum which was excellent. read more

Everything, first, they gave me a room that smells like piss and then they moved me to another room that smells bad too. The ice machine was working all night and I couldn't sleep all night. The next day the manager said sorry for that. No refund, just sorry. I highly recommend to not sleep in this hotel. read more

After three nights here still no cleaning of our room , we had to throw the trash out into the hall cause it was three cans worth, had to beg for clean towels at the front desk, and the breakfast is all microwaved food nothing remotely cooked fresh! read more

I stayed here Friday night after attending a concert at Wolf Trap, and headed to Richmond the next day. It was quiet, clean and safe. It's located on an access road, not too far from the Marine base at Quantico, and the town of Triangle. In my room there were no odors, cigarette burns or dirty furnishings. It smelled good and looked good. And most importantly, there was a quiet vibe that meant everyone was asleep at night. No noise, yelling or running. No smoking, no liquor, no drugs on display. Breakfast was included, and there were scrambled eggs, sausages, bagels, waffles, yogurt, coffee, juices and fruit. The employee in charge of the breakfast area was the manager, I believe, and he took the time to politely ask every customer if their experience had been pleasant, and if anything needed to be changed or taken care of. No, it's not a 5 star hotel, and I have no idea why anyone would want to hold a wedding there. Maybe McDonald's was already booked? It's a simple, clean, safe motel a stone's throw from I-95, for less than $100 a night. I'll stay there again, no doubt about it. read more

I generally don't complain about hotels whatsoever but I was just left heartbroken. My significant other and I booked a four night stay for our anniversary trip. The photos advertising the room were not by any means close to what we supposedly booked. I understand that all 'requests' are unable to be accomodated, but the rooms (with the accessible signs) were completely empty! The rooms advertised of which we thought we were paying for did not have a seating area aside from the room itself. The bathroom was not accessible (pull up bar, shower seat, etc) and when confronted, an employee said that none of the rooms had it due to having to change per building codes. Our bathroom door did not lock and we were told that "it's okay because it's just you and your wife." The toilet quite literally screeched when being flushed and couldn't be flushed at night or it woke someone up. (I took a video). The TV channels are advertised as "premium" but there are only a select few and a good majority of them had half color on the screen with the other half being black and white. The remote was not the original therefore we couldn't use the arrows to use the captions in the TV menu. The WiFi constantly cut out every few hours or so and not just when it would reset each morning after standard check out time. Only one to two of the sockets were usable as the rest were loose or burnt out. Housekeeping only came once out of the four days. Overall I was NOT at all happy with our stay. I don't think we will ever stay here again. read more

I went here on a field trip and I disagree some what with the bad reviews. The hallways do smell funky-ish but it's not like "a cat threw a urination party" They are a bit extreme. We found no bed bugs, no blood, and only minor mildew. So for future people coming on vacation or with school, don't freak out. Just be aware. read more

Stopped in late last night without looking for deals online. Everyone was super nice and has been since we checked in. 1. Got the room for 103$ & I think we over paid based on the prices we found online this morning. 2. The hotel is a little older and some of the other reviews were a little harsh based on our experience. It seems like they are changing things. 3. Room was very clean. 4. Smaller TV - 32' 5. Free Continental breakfast - normal, OJ, cereal, muffins, no protein 6. Shower head was ok and the water pressure was good. 7. I could see if it was really cold outside to make sure you ask for extra blankets. 8. Another review mentioned a smell in the hallway. My girlfriend is very sensitive to smell and I have bad allergies. We didn't notice anything & I was happy to sleep through the night. 9. Our 1 bed king was a very large room with a desk and nice chair if you needed to do any work. For the money, it's not bad & once again everyone has been super nice. I'm giving it an extra star for the people & no drama. read more

Horrible experience . Moldy smell, no elevator , no air conditioning in the lobby or hallways. Very limited pool hours, and breakfast quality and selection was poor. One family in our group found bugs in their room and had to be moved. Maids would walk in upon a quick knock before 9 am without giving us time to respond to the knock. Continental breakfast was so-so, but the coffee was good and since I had my leftovers from dinner the night before, I didn't partake in any of the breakfast offerings. I had to attend some training at Quantico, and this was close by and reasonably priced. As a few others have mentioned, it is a bit old and outdated, and there is some kind of odd odor in the hallways, although I didn't notice it in the room itself. The room was clean, but the bed was not really comfortable and the shower was barely more than a trickle. If you want breakfast, you have to purchase it from their restaurant. Overall, I wasn't impressed but again, for $69/night I guess I shouldn't expect too much. read more

Ok. So, to be fair, I have no complaints at all about this place. I had no expectations whatsoever - this Ramada happened to be close to where we wanted to go, they had a good rate, and those are the reasons we chose to stay there. We saw some negative reviews on other sites and a couple on Yelp, and I kinda wanted to give them another star or 2, but this place just isn't a 4 or 5 star hotel. It's essentially a motor lodge near a couple of destinations that you might want to check out. It's not a luxury resort. But there's an ice machine and a pool, and the bed was clean and comfortable, and the TV worked, and it was a perfectly acceptable place to crash after a long day exploring the area. I didn't notice any funky smell that was mentioned in some reviews, but my boyfriend said he did - but it was very minor and didn't bother him. We were both very pleased with the shower, after not knowing what to expect. The staff is friendly and accommodating. I am always grateful for free food and coffee in the morning, and feel like an ingrate if I complain, but in all honesty, the coffee is just terrible. If you're a caffeine addict, it will suffice, but we had to go out to get more to undo the bad taste! They call it a continental breakfast, but I think the owner may not know what that is, maybe: it's more of an American style buffet - albeit on the small side. They would be WAY better off sticking to continental, though. Offer some croissants and danish, and maybe some fruit and be done with it. There were eggs and sausage links -- both edible. But just edible. There were waffles, too, and a few toasters to warm them up. There were what I took to be French toast sticks, but they were depressingly disappointing. There were a few types of bread, as well as freezer bagels (but no real butter to put on them -- though that may be a regional flaw), as well as cereal, a few types of juice, some prepackaged sweet buns of some kind, and bananas, and oranges. I'd definitely go back, but skip the breakfast all together. You can ride up the road to Dumfries and get something more satisfying there. read more

A great place to stay for the price. Room was clean, staff was nice and helpful. Continental breakfast every morning. Cost was cheaper than in base hotel and it is right outside the gate. We have stayed here a few times now and it is always as expected. It is a good place to sleep, grab a quick breakfast and get on with the day. read more

They won't help you in any way. We were on a 17 hour road trip at 3am on Wednesday when we decided we needed to pull off to get sleep. My two children were having meltdowns. We booked on Priceline and it would not let me book for Tuesday which apparently is what I was suppose to do which is impossible. So we booked for Wednesday. We were 4 mins away from the hotel. We get there and we aren't allowed to check in until 3pm. All 3 cars in the parking lot tell me they were not full and there was no reason not to let us in. My kids are crying. It's freezing and we had no luggage to bring in. We just needed somewhere to sleep for MAX 8 hours. We'd be out before check out time and willing to pay for a whole day. We weren't hanging around the area. We just needed sleep. Obviously we ended up back on road exhausted. I called the ramada once the "manager" Amo was working. Amo spoke to my husband and said he'd approve he refund but since we booked with Priceline he didn't have access to do it. So we needed to call Priceline. We called Priceline they called him and then he said no we wont do it. Amo ended up yelling at the Priceline representative after he told her to call back within 15 minutes and myself when I called back to find out why he wouldn't stick to his word. Amo should not be the manager, the representative for this particular hotel. We are of course filing a claim. At this moment I will never recommend a ramada. * I will also add Amo hung up on me several times. When I was calling to speak to a manager and get the corporate office number. Not bad. As most of the other comments say there is an odd smell in the hallway's but the rooms are clean as well as the bed. The ventilation system doesn't work but it didn't seem stuffy. The price was right and I would stay here again. read more

While traveling to my mothers funeral I mistakenly made a double reservation one for the day I stayed there and one for 15 days later. For a solid 15 days Ive been trying to cancel the reservation, Ive called and left messages for the manager, priceline has called on no less than 5 occasions and the manager is always either mysteriously not there even when we were told to call back as specific times or he's off somewhere in the hotel where he is unreachable. Here is question, whats the point of having a manager who is never available and over the span of 2 weeks will not return messages or calls? Definitely avoid this place if you can. read more

Very out of date hotel, needs some major updating. If you plan to stay here during winter make sure you get plenty of blankets, because of the full glass slider doors in the back of the room that lead to the pool area the room stayed really cold. My heater (wall unit) stayed on most of the time. The continental breakfast was so so. Seemed to me like leftover from last weeks breakfast. It does have free internet but connection was bad. They also didn't do much to make it secure with only a request to agree to there user policy. Gym is small and was only open between 6 and 10. So for those of you like me who like to get in there by 5:30 am you are out of luck. This place only has two things really going for it... location to Quantico and freeway access but would not recommend otherwise. This is my first time staying here and the choice was due to its location to where i needed to do business. Don't think I plan to come back. read more

Stay away- I created a Yelp account just for the sole purpose of warning people not to come here. The hotel was outdated and smelled like smoke, even in the non-smoking rooms. The hot and cold water in the room were switched, the heater sounded like a fighter jet taking off, and the WiFi didn't work (the answer at the front desk was "I don't know what to tell you"). None of that was a big deal except the horrible attitude of the front desk people. Due to an unforeseen car problem, I was unable to check out on time (by a matter of minutes). While I understand it was my fault, the lady at the front desk was rude, irritated that she had to let me back into the room to get my belongings (even though the hotel was nearly empty), and demanded (again) to see my ID as if I had done something wrong---as opposed to being helpful and understanding, which every other hotel has managed to do. She charged me another half day price for going a few minutes over the checkout time, which I would not have minded if her attitude had been respectful. The other hotels down the street are not much more expensive and SO much of a better experience, especially for military folks. read more
