Overall okay experience. Breakfast is held in the restaurant next to the hotel which I is pretty nice business/financially. And the food also tastes great! Good variety of options as well. Very comfortable beds, good view.
I like that the poolroom has 2 single bathrooms that have a shower in them! Good for a quick rinse before and after getting in the pool.
For background info, my father reserved 2 rooms for family of 5. Day 2 of our stay, we came back late afternoon and we'd seen (in both rooms) that the coffee machine has not been refilled and a few different items (both sinks) had not been refilled. My napkin box had ran out as well, was not changed, in which I took it upon myself to get a new box and change it. Not difficult to do. Perhaps the housekeepers were tired and I'm not very upset about this, however it could become more of a bigger deal with future guests if housekeeping continues to be spotty like this.
Fitness room is pretty basic, only 4 machines available and one of the machines isn't working.
Majority of staff is fairly kind and helpful. It also seems that the keycards start tripping out/randomly stop working. It seems to be a common occurrence as well, my brother was trying to open our door, it didn't work, fortunately there was a staff member nearby, asked "Oh is it not working?" We shook our heads and he opened it with his master keycard. (I'm not sure what your name is but thank you!) Based on his tone, response, and efficiency, it just appeared to me that this happens often. Should be fixed.
I'm not sure if hotels had recently started doing this but if you pre-pay a reservation, when you check out, there's no physical receipt for confirmation. I've never seen this in other hotels, and I've visited Surrey (Vancouver, BC in general) around 5 times in my life. However, the receptionist confirms that there is a permanent record electronically. But just adding this in case it concerns anyone reading this.
