First of all, the exterior of this hotel is super cute with all the murals painted by the husbands and wife. The beds were a tad too soft, but not too bad. I wish they had black out curtains, so I could have slept in a little longer, but alas no. The person who checked me in was very friendly and very thorough, even though we got there late at 11:30pm. The parking lot was safe, we had left all our stuff in our SUV and my cousin had his pickup truck stacked with stuff just covered by a tarp & it was all still there in the AM. I had my two dogs with me and there is a little dog run on their property as well. Oh and free wifi and parking. For $79/night, this was a great option! read more

I reserved a room for 3 days because the pool looked so inviting. Well, that didn't turn out very good. It was literally greenish. I asked one the workers if the pool was maintained and she said it was, well that was a complete lie. Also, the beds were too soft, woke up every morning with a backache. I didn't get the pricing either, each day was a different price. I thought weekday price was usually less, but it went up each day. (but I signed up for that, so that's on me) Sun $73.71 Mon $83.43 Tues $86.67 They have a leave a comment section, "How Can We Do Better" My response was, how about charging me the Sun price for both Mon & Tues and refund the difference, that's how you can do better. We checked in , went to the room pulled back the sheets and found what appeared to be bed bugs lots of them! Left went to the front desk, showed them the picture and the front desk clerk agreed they look like bedbugs , she sent the picture to her manager who said they'd give us a full refund. Friendly desk staff. Room prices were good for our king room. It was on 2nd floor and not next to the train tracks, even tho we could hear them. No ice bucket, no water glasses and a hair was in the sink. 3 pillows on a king, not the worse. Not the best start. I won't even get into their restaurant. I'm hoping the free breakfast is better. Filthy - see attached pix. Floor had not been swept, let alone mopped; someone else's hair was in the sink, someone else's medication was on the floor, I could go on but the photos speak for themselves. I booked this hotel trough Expedia. My friends and I were riding the AZ peace trail. When we checked in, we used a different card to pay for room than the one I made the reservation with. 30 minituts after checking in, they assigned me room to another person. They showed up at the room with door keys. After checking out, i found that they billed both the card used to reserve and the the card given at the desk. I tried talking with the person working the front counter. She could see the mistake but could not issue any refunds. Only the one Manager can do that. Tried contacting the Manager. Unavailable. Finaly got a reaponse on email which denied my request for refund. The place was under construction. Employees were less than desirable or competent. Tried to eat at the restaurant. First two items I ordered were unavailable due to stock. Finally settled on a chicken birrito. Looked good, had no flavor whatsoever. It was terrible! My companions meals were also bad. Orders were wrong. Avoid this hotel if possible! read more

Ouch! Attacked by the biggest ants I've seen on this continent. They live in the parking lot out back in the rear. Trying to grab our bags, and a few odds and ends in the dark and windy lot, the ants started climbing us. If that was not bad enough we had to use the stairs as this wonderful property messed up the ground floor request (made over a month before arrival) and has no elevators either. How special. Two stars is quite generous. The one saving grace was the fact that the room door did not fit the door frame properly and banged all night due to the high winds. We finally stuffed some paper in the gap to stop the banging which helped a little. Turns out fixing the door was not so important, the beds were quite awful, the only entertainment at 0:dark o'clock is listening to the mile long freight trains rumble by a few feet from the room. That or some ambulance chaser trying to gain more clients on the television. They do have an in-house eatery. It closes at 9:30 pm on Saturday's. Not certain of their other hours. Once settled in, we decided not to chance our luck and went elsewhere. It's been my experience that places like this have similar quality control in all departments. Your mileage may vary. read more

Living in the Desert, Good Air Conditioning is IMPORTANT to me! The air in my room was Fantastic! I woke up and it must've been 65 degrees! Just the way I like it. Great front desk service by Anthony and Star. Good meal and good service in the restaurant at a reasonable price. Good for a one night stay. Price a little high for what you get. Sometimes it can be difficult to parse through reviews and use them to make a decision. Quick review: if you don't care about general cleanliness and just want a cheap place to stay, this will be fine. If you care about cleanliness then pay more for a more high-end hotel. Period. All you need to know. The room was dirty. The bed sheets were stained, floors dirty, urine on the commode, hair on the towels. That's two minutes into entering the room. Stayed one night last week. Was a mess from the get-go. On their website, I selected a double-queen room for $99. When the app confirmed the booking, the rate came through as $110. Neither customer service rep, front desk associate or manager would budge to make an adjustment. They asserted that queen rooms were normally $110 (however, I'm checking their website now and the same room is down to $89, so...). Anyway, I had no reason to try and steal a lousy $11, as this was my 27th night in a row in a hotel! Anyway, had the hotel been good, I really wouldn't have cared. But, alas, here goes: There was pink mold in the bathtub and along the walls inside the room. Property is adjacent to a freight train that ran regularly. Air conditioner was leaking in the breakfast dining room. There was a trash can placed next to the condiments/utensils table (with a cup strategically placed inside) to collect the leak. It dripped loudly the entire time. Butter and peanut butter were communal (a blob of butter, full of crumbs, on a plate; an open jar of PB with a knife in it) instead of the more sanitary individually-wrapped packets. Eggs and sausage were cold and stale, even at 6:30am. OK breakfast (white bread, waffles, cold cereal, cheap sugary yogurt, bananas). No in-room coffee/tea (need to go to the lobby to get coffee). Room was not carpeted (it might make a difference if you're on the 1st floor, with people walking above you). Fitness room was under renovation (they should update their website, as fitness rooms are actually important to some customers). Depending on your taste, the hotel exterior - painted everywhere you look with Hollywood/Route 66 icons - is either nostalgic or garish. There are plenty of other hotels in the area to choose from. Great place, great pop-art themed murals on the walls. Standout staff, especially Donna @ front desk and Rusty, the night watchman. Donna was a gift of information, friendliness and courtesy. She advised where to go/not go, experiences in the area I might enjoy and was kind and supportive. If you get a chance to talk to Rusty, consider yourself lucky. The stories he tells ... Yes, the trains roll by ... it's the sound of industry happening. It never bothered me. Room was clean, the shower dripped a bit, I called maintenance who took care of it. Ample parking. Swimming pool. Pet Park (and pet friendly!). Nice strollable gardens. Make sure to walk around the hotel to take pix of the murals, what a memory. Nice garden area around the pool. Room heater worked great. The bathroom door didn't quite clear the commode and I saw a few scrape marks on the toilet seat, but it wasn't a big issue. Comfortable bed Refrigerator Microwave Toiletries Ample Towel Supply We would gladly stay here again for the standout service and the amusing (yes, I know I keep talking about the ...) MURALS. There was a hole in the bathroom door (although this cis cosmetic, it was just one more thing that shows the room was not kept in good repair) The sink drain stopper was missing. Writing on bathroom mirror. There were 5 sets of numbers written on the left side of the mirror. When was the last time anyone cleaned the mirror? Two red spots on the white top sheet. Was this fresh blood? Whatever it may have been, the sheet should not be in use. No blankets, only a very thin comforter. The pillows felt like they were filled with golfball- baseball size pieces of foam rubber. "Dog park" in the back corner of the parking lot where guests are to take their dogs to relieve themselves. There are no lights in the fence area. Even in the dark, I could see a lot of old dog poop. No grass, only dirt and what may have been stumps from extremely large weeds. If not for the full moon and a parking lot light, it would have been impossible to see where I was walking. Train tracks at the rear of the hotel. Between 6:30 pm and 8:30 pm, 2 trains went by. In wall heater/AC unit. This worked, BUT the fan, even on low fan or "auto heat" was loud. The only way to turn the fan noise off is to turn off the heat or AC. Maybe it's meant to drown out the noise from the train? Light switch just inside the door did not turn on/off any light.. It appeared there may have been a ceiling light in front of the window once upon a time as the ceiling had a large area that was patched. Bench in back of the hotel was not usable...front wood slat was hanging down onto ground. Overall, the hotel was old, room was not as clean as should be expected from a Wyndham chain hotel, and the rooms and grounds are certainly not maintained well. I checked out within 2 hours of checking in after realizing I wouldn't be able to sleep with the noise from the heater and trains, nor would I have felt safe taking my dogs outside later at night. read more

The front is deceiving, they placed us in the back upper. Back Parking lot terrible and a big turn off, and steps to upper in need of repair. Our door had a crack of light that would fit a mouse, we placed the wet towels there. Pillow cases looked like something I would throw out with stains. It appeared clean so we stayed but wished we hadn't. The shower drain didn't allow draining fast enough. Surprisingly the bed was comfortable . read more

Do not stay at this hotel!!! My sister and I were traveling back to New Mexico last week from Las Vegas. We hit the worst snow storm in Kingman and had to spend the night. This hotel was the only one with a vacancy. We had 2 bath towels, 1 washcloth and 1 hand towel for 2 females. The room was dingy and old but at least we were out of the storm. I just got the final bill and they charged me $20.00 for a damaged towel. I called and they said they have a picture. I am still waiting for the copy as I know this is so bogus! I can't imagine Wyndham has this property. I have already had my bank reverse the charge and plan to contact corporate. This place is definitely a scam. Travelers beware!!!!! read more

Avoid if you can. Rate is cheap but you get even less than what you pay for. Room was not the cleanest and we got two pillows thrown on the bed and a sofa that was falling apart. The remote batteries were taped into the remote. Fridge was lukewarm. All things we could have tolerated for a motel in a small town, but finding the bathroom flooded from a leaking toilet. They offered another room on the second floor, but since we got there after 2am after a 12 hour drive, we couldn't handle hauling all out luggage up a flight of stairs after we spent time lugging it to our room (they offer no carts here). With a promise that someone would be sent to clean and fix the bathroom the next morning, we agreed to stay. We tried to lock up for the night (because the door did not lock, we hoped that the latch would keep anyone out) theyoffered no compensation for our troubled except half off breakfast from their dinner. But they said the manager would get back to us. The managers never talked to us or was available any time we asked. We left to go sightseeing and ate lunch and breakfast out. When we got back, our keys were deactivated and we had gone back to the front office for the third time. Still no management to talk to and They had ample amount of time to rectify the bare minimum of our complaint of the bathroom situation and no one had touch our room when we got back around 3pm. This was our last straw and we felt like things would only get worse for the stay, so we checked out early. Still have yet to hear from management. Will probably have to call this a loss since no one will speak to us about it. read more

Not sure what the scary reviews on Yelp are all about for this motel, but it's awesome!! It does seem like an older motel, but it was definitely remodeled, very clean, everything worked well, and did the job. It's super cute with the artwork throughout the motel. Everyone was friendly and the woman that hosted the complimentary breakfast was a hoot. Such a fun conversation with her! The free breakfast isn't extensive, but ... it's FREE, so no complaints here. We will definitely be back as we pass through Kingman. Thank you so much!! read more

ten out of ten would not stay here if I were alone. I feel like I would have been scared if my friends hadn't been with me :P or maybe cuz I was tired. So we're on this bus tour and they choose the Ramada Kingman. We turn in and I see on the sign on the front (the lighted one) that it has "free REAL breakfast" and I immediately think wait.... why does it say real breakfast? Do places in Kingman serve fake breakfasts? Like wax bananas and fruit or something? Anywho we get checked in. At least we're on the 2nd floor, facing... an empty parking lot. Entering in, on your right is the a/c unit. In front is the desk, further right is your classic double bed-table setup. There is a TV next to the desk, and the bathroom in the back. Didn't really have feelings of bedbugs, and we did use the TV somewhat. It has a good amount of channels if you're bored. You also have a desk where you can sit on a dirty chair and do stuff on your tablet, I guess. I wouldn't stay here though- it does look like what one would stay in if they were running away from other people. It also does look like a place where someone dies in those CSI or such shows :P Drug deal gone bad? Come to Kingman. Hide here! :P Room looks dated; also, they have a train track with trains passing by even at night throughout the night. Somehow. -_- And also their breakfast is alright; they have yogurt+fruit, eggs, potatoes. Not too shabby. This would be decent at best. They also have water, OJ, or coffee. 1st, we arrive a 2:45 PM for a 3:00 PM check in time and are told it will cost $20 extra to check in early. 2nd, The room had been refurbished recently with new beds and furniture but the patchwork in the ceiling and walls tells the story of the cheapest workmanship available. 3rd, the bathtub had multiple chips, the sink faucet did not operate properly, the door between the commode and the wash area was removed, and the size of the bathroom/closet can not fit more than than one person at a time. We rented the room for two nights and after being out all day we came back to a room where beds had not been made, towels had not been replaced and trash had not been taken out. When we called the front desk they said we had not asked for our room to be cleaned??? Oh did I mention the train that passes at the back of the motel on about a half hour schedule until around 10:00 PM? Oh and the pool was not operating. The place is a dump and not worthy of being part of Wyndham. read more

This hotel did not provide reasonable value for the money. I have the following specific complaints: (1) The WiFi did not work. The attendant at the front desk informed me that the hotel's WiFi does work, but that computers can't connect to it! The eventual workaround was to turn my mobile phone into a WiFi hotspot. (2) The room keys would not reliably unlock the room door. (3) The breakfast was the worst hotel breakfast in recent memory. When we arrived at 8:30 am, there was nothing to eat except bread and apples. I'm attaching two photos in case anyone questions the accuracy of this report. (4) This hotel has no security. Don't stay here! Don't let the "cute" exterior lure you!! Take photos on the outside and LEAVE...quickly!!! The rooms are old, not very clean and the wifi is does not work in some rooms (the one we stayed in had no wifi signal), the pool was not clean and it was noisy all evening into the morning. If complaints are made to the front desk-prepare for nothing to be done nor will any compensation be made for lack of service or otherwise. We stayed one night in May 2022. I requested a quiet room and was placed on a corner near the ice machine. A group of men checked in about 5 PM and continued to party through out the evening into the early morning. I called the front desk twice but nothing seemed to be done. Upon checkout I requested a partial refund. It has been refused. This place is one of the worst places I've ever stayed in with respect to facility and service. read more

Free-standing lamp near the door was leaning against the wall due to a broken base, cable TV line was creatively sticking out of the wall 10' from the TV and haphazardly ran across the floor, a drywall repair in the bathroom was performed by a 5-year old, the toilet made a horrible shrilling noise until the tank filled and the 40-mph trains were gaining speed to get out of that God forsaken town every half hour. The tracks literally ran across the back of the property. Oh yeah, the cockroach behind the front door had clearly had enough of the place and appears to have committed suicide. If you have to spend the night at the Kingman Ramada, check for availability at a local homeless shelter first. Trust me...you'll thank me. read more

OMG! If you're a light sleeper do not stay here! We were awakened every 10-15 minutes by the trains going by! Yes, I should have checked Google Earth to see if there'd be noise but it was Bad! The room itself was not too bad and we had a very nice meal in the attached restaurant. The front desk clerks were very nice but from now on I will Always ask for a quiet room!!! For the price of the room we would've expected the shower head to be intact and not hanging out of the wall with a rusted flange falling off and mold and mildew all the way around the tub! Yuck! What a dive! The room is basic. Small TV. Microwave and mini fridge. The room's floor was dirty. Beds are not great- hard and bouncy. We were put up in a room in the back building. You'll hear trains go by all night. The next day I was making the bed and noticed the sheets had blood stains on them. I also happened to look up at the ceiling and noticed what appeared to be blood splatter. I took a wet Q tip and it rubbed off and seemed as if it were blood. Definitely not red paint. Amazing service and cool hotel! We booked a room here as a quick stopover on the way to Havasupai Falls, thinking it would be your standard nondescript Ramada. Not the case at all. This place is decked out with all sorts of cool Route 66 and Americana themed murals all over the walls. Has a lot of character. There's also a fun agility park for dogs. What really made this place great was the service. We woke up at 3am to head to Havasupai and realized we left the lights on our car and the battery was dead. The receptionist, Katie Rose, was so incredibly kind and helpful assisting us in rolling the car across the lot and using her car to give us a jumpstart. Saved our trip! After driving 12 hours on the road. We needed a place to stop and sleep. After reading the trip advisor reviews I was excited thinking we found a gem for cheap. Mind you our room (#113) was horribly outdated, the bathroom had mold and the walls our thin. However, Donna at check in was fantastic and deserves a 5 star for her friendliness and customer service. The breakfast attendant in the morning (didn't catch her name but she worked the morning of mon 11/25/19) was also super friendly and sweet. Overall the hotel did its justice for having comfortable beds and a perfect off the highway to rest and back on to continue our trip East. Owner or management should stay in room 113 and realize the rooms needs a serious renovation and omg DONT get me started on the carpet. Yuck. Btw the lock on the door needs to be fixed! Checked into hotel. Clerk indicated breakfast was available during certain hours. Failed to mention at the restaurant and not included in hotel room. Nothing was said about having no soap available to guests in their hotel room.when asked her answer was for us to go to the store and buy soap if we wanted. Needed any. Soap is an expected item in every hotel room. Why doesn't the hotel go buy some? I had a choice of more than one hotel in this ton and if warned, would have gone somewhere else. But after check in I was told basically too bad. Too bad I won't be visiting this hotel again. Bring your own soap! read more

I have stayed in this chained hotel in other markets many a times before but this one is by far the worse in terms of the overall experience. So I shall begin with the positives: the check-in was smooth and the clerk was friendly and expeditiously professional. I found the firm mattress comfortable and the wood floor is a good aesthetic touch. However, the negatives are too numerous to warrant more than 1 Star: upon entering the room I immediately noticed the overpowering musty smell. I left the door open and ran the A/C on high even though it was cold out. Then I noticed the cleaning crew had not picked up the previous guest's room keys, his other miscellaneous papers and also left an obviously used bar of hand soap on the sink. The girlfriend wanted to take a bath since we came from visiting Grand Canyon but she quickly changed her mind when she noticed the tub looked unclean. Later we found out the tub drains slowly so the reason for the tub looking dirty. My biggest complaint is that the A/C unit is loud, like annoyingly loud! I left the unit running all night on low because the musty smell didn't go away. The consequence is I didn't sleep well at all with the crying baby in the next room and the loud A/C. The Ramada chain originally built its name on being a nice upper-midscale property. Over the years it's become one of those brands that the parent company (in this case Wyndham) doesn't seem to bother enforcing consistent quality standards on, so when you book an unfamiliar one you could be getting anything from a dirty budget motel to a nice midscale place. This one in Kingman is right in the middle. I would class it as a budget motel in terms of room quality, but the exterior looks like one of the older Ramada properties (maybe one of the originals - the first was in Flagstaff) with the hacienda-style design and the attached restaurant and bar (which are still in operation). The rooms are definitely budget-tier though, but they tend to charge more like it's midscale. Definitely a unique-looking place ... there aren't many of these older Ramadas left, and this one is covered in oil paintings of almost every Boomer nostalgia figure you can think of. Not always of the highest skill, though ... someone did Phyllis Diller particularly dirty. But certainly unique. Rooms a bit old and musty but not bad. You get a micro / fridge standard, but no coffee maker surprisingly. There does seem to be coffee all day in the lobby. The breakfast is pretty sad - a very basic continental with no hot stuff other than waffles and french toast sticks. Was expecting better based on the price range. Again, not bad but it seems like they charge a bit more than it's worth, espc. in Kingman where there are lots of good-quality budget deals around. read more

Get to the room and it was well put together, then realized the room windows are enclosed with shutters, which only block so much light... and then figure out that he beds there were hard I was hoping because the room was priced a bit higher than others in the area (and because it is a Ramada) that the room would be higher quality, but I was a bit disappointed. read more

We tried booking through an online portal for X price but there wasn't any availability online; when we called to see if they'd match, the employee said yes. However, when we checked in, the manager gave us flack for X price and tried to upcharge us. At 12am, that's the last experience any roadtrip wants... Otherwise, clean place and really nice lady at the front desk who helped us reason with the manager. A meh continental breakfast but you can't expect much on the road. read more

I wondered why there were no photos of this Ramada from a street view. When you drive up, you'll understand. Built sometime ago when building standards were non existent, please do not try and spend the night here. When I arrived I asked about an early check in. It was 2pm, check in is 3pm. I was told they would be happy to have me check in early for an additional $20. No thanks. So I came back, asked to see the room as I had my suspicions due to the funky lobby, if you want to call it that, and the horrible painting and decor outside. As if a movie buff ate something really bad, had a horrible dream, then painted it on the outside walls. I was shown a room that had not been updated from the 50's, maybe even before that. No way. So then I was shown a room that had been "renovated". Renovated still means that when the folks on the other side of the wall talk to one another, it sounds like they are in the room with you. Better, but when I first talked with Kellie, the desk person, I told her that I had to have internet as the hotel where I was the night before, had a bad connection. Oh yes, no problem. So I checked in, the room was clean and not facing a wall, but no internet. I called, they would fix it as others had complained as well. By 5 pm I had had it. Went to reception, no help, no manager on site, asked for my money back, no way, so I left. Kellie was nice, but I think she'd worked there about 30 seconds as she had no idea where the second room was. Instead of renovating, they should have gotten a demolition permit and started over. I went right across the street and had a nice quiet night, great internet connection and a lovely new room at the Holiday Inn. Kingman is just "on the way" to where you really want to go so don't try and save a few dollars here. You'll be sorry. read more

The hotel clearly states that they offer lots of accessibility but there is NO Elevators and all King Rooms are on the second floor with no access for those with a disability. You cannot get heavy luggage upstairs without dragging it up a large flight of steps. The front desk receptionist stated she could not adjust the reservation from a King to a Queen (all queen rooms are on the first floor and all Kings are on second). She made my elderly parents with their walkers leave because we had booked the room through Orbitz. I had to call the hotel and tell them the ADA required disclosure and THEN she magically figured out how to move the hotel reservation from a King to a queen located on the first floor but DID NOT give a refund for the difference in the price of the room. The Ramada Kingman was not ready for prime time when we visited. We stayed there a couple months ago, so some of these issues might have been addressed, but here are some of the things we found to be lacking: No electrical outlets in rooms Room not ready on time No "do not disturb" card in room No elevator "Suite" is just a slightly larger room for twice the money Employee "com" system doesn't work Ice machine not working Overwatering of landscaping Tiny toilet/shower stall; have to turn on light outside the room before shutting the door. Surly staff Room key does not allow access to the gym No coffee maker in the room TV buried in a cabinet Cabinet drawer opens on its own Tiny, tiny waste baskets Sink aerator clogged Sink stopper mechanism not working Super chlorinated drinking water in restaurant Gap under door and around window shades Breakfast never ready at 6:00 a.m. Very little variety at breakfast Breakfast served in an actual restaurant, but worse than the Continental breakfasts you get at most motels these days. This Ramada Inn looks as though it could almost be a resort destination if it was run properly. As it is, it barely qualifies as a middle-of-the-pack motel. read more

Embarrassing- Expedia must be in on a deal with Wyndham, would NEVER have considered this anomaly under normal circumstances. The room is saturated with some kind of synthetic, nauseating fragrance to mask god only knows what. Bathroom shower curtain is a mildew farm. Can hear everything & everyone within a 20 foot radius, climate control is bombarding, even on low setting. I can't even start on about the insane, cheesy, Hollywood themed cacophony of murals, I was aghast driving up to this place & would've turned around except I had paid in advance. Am terrified of what the breakfast will be like, would have given one star except the girl who works the front desk is very sweet. read more
