We tried to stay at the other Best Western just down the road, but they were booked up. I saw the…read moresign for this Best Western and figured why not try. I'm glad they had a room for us! We had the family suite room 124 and it was perfect for my family! Even better, there no stairs or elevator to deal with. One of us is having mobility difficulties at the moment and this was a very easy room for that family member to get to and to leave. The room was big and there was a separate room with a bed for the adults. I thought the bed was very comfortable and I was surprised how well I was able to sleep. The bathroom was clean and had plenty of towels. The breakfast in the lobby was possibly the nicest hotel breakfast I've ever seen. The homemade sausage gravy was delicious! They had an oatmeal bar, a station to make a burrito, cereals, yogurt, waffles, coffee & juices, pastries, bagels, and fresh cut fruit. They offered both sausage patties & sausage links and their eggs were really good. Breakfast is available from 6:00-9:30. I was at the end of my trip and had already washed our clothes or I would have made use of their launderette. It's really nice to have the option to run a quick load of laundry while on the road. They have a pool and jacuzzi that looked clean, but we never made it out there. At check in Bethany at the front desk helped me pick a room that would be easily accessible to our family member who had trouble getting around and she gave me a paper with a map of the hotel. On the back side of the map was another map of the immediate area with a list of various types of restaurants, banks, shopping, entertainment, car washes, and other services that travelers might need. I thought that was a thoughtful touch and appreciated it. We did end up dining at one of the restaurants on the list. It was less than 1 1/2 miles away so was conveniently located. I don't stay in Kingman every year, but I will definitely return to the Best Western Wayfarer Inn & Suites when I do!

The AC unit made some weird sounds but we were tired enough we all fell asleep ok. They offer a complimentary breakfast which makes it super easy and quick with the kids. They had the usual offerings- fruit, yogurt, oatmeal, cereal, juice, coffee, eggs, sausage, croissant breakfast sandwiches, bagels, toast, pastries and waffles. We filled our tummy's and hit the road to our final destination, Las Vegas!

It definitely closes earlier then the one in Kittery, ME that I have been to. My friend & I made it in an 1/2 hr prior to closing (9pm) after being @ the lake. There was only one other customer in there. We were greeted by Kim, the bartender who was super nice. We took a seat @ the bar & I was happy to know that they have seltzers here, just White Claw on my visit & of course I had to hit up the pull tabs machine. Was cool to see them for different amounts. I won on a couple but didn't make my money back that I spent on them...lol I had asked Kim what type of events that they hold & she told me about a couple of them & showed me a calendar of events. I told her that I was new to the Moose Lodge & that this was my first visit. She even showed me their event room that was decorated so festively. The bar & surrounding areas were nice & clean and welcoming. I LOVE how everyone is so friendly @ Moose Lodge's & hope to hit this location up again next time I'm in Havasu visiting. The entire stay had a very relaxing home feel (without the chores that hover in the back of your mind.) If you are inclined to cook your own meal, the kitchen has almost everything (with the exception of the groceries) you would need to prepare meals. The separate bedroom was nice in that I could rise early and start the day without disturbing my wife. The Bunkhouse is located above one of the Yarnell Emporium buildings, so the walk to your door takes you thru a very eclectic collection of outdoor statues and figurines. The proprietors are very accommodating and informative, which made our stay even more interesting and enjoyable. One of the reasons we chose Yarnell was to hike part of the memorial trail in the Granite Mountain Hotshots Memorial State Park. The Bunkhouse is located within a few miles of the trailhead. The staff at the Emporium can provide you with options to getting to the trailhead. My wife and I usually consider the locations we stay at as just a place to sleep overnight. We try and find places that are inexpensive and clean. I have to end this by saying the Bunkhouse turned out to be a real gem. We plan on returning to do the full memorial trail and hope there is a room at the Bunkhouse when we return.

Hostel is an old trailer with one private room, a dorm for 4 & a well equipped kitchen. Bring your own food, water, etc as it is little expensive at store. Great place to view stars. They have a viewing tower for it. Only cons, it is 1 - 1 1/2 drive to badwater basin. So it is a great place to make a stop. If i have to spend few days in Death Valley, I will live at stovewells pipe or Furnance Creek. Gas is very expensive. I will definitely recommended this place.

We spent 3 nights at Cynthia's in one of the 3 tipis that she has in the middle of a date farm in…read morethe middle of nowhere. We used the location as our base for covering Death Valley and absolutely loved it! You check in at Cythias and then they lead you, by car, to the tipis by leaving the road and driving through a small canyon that opens out into the China Ranch Date Farm. The tipis are amongst the date palms next to the house which contains kitchen facilities if you wish to prepare food for yourselves. The tipis have air conditioning and heating if you need it while maintaining the pleasures of sleeping under canvas. There are no meals available at Cynthia's but there are several reasonable places to eat and one superb restaurant that is truly a surprise in this location. Talk to Cynthia about the places to eat and you won't be disappointed. There is also a local bar that bees its own beers from some non-traditional ingredients and the ones we tried during our stay and they were excellent. One of the benefits of being far away from built up areas is the the nighttime sky. The stars feel as if they are pressing down on you. Cynthia has an astro safari where Chad can answer any questions you have about the night skies. Chad has a massive astronomical telescope through which he will show you the farther reaches of our galaxy and galaxies beyond. We can really recommend this safari with the combination of pristine clarity and a passionate and knowledgable guide in Chad. We stayed at Cynthia's prior to the availability of the desert safaris. We would like to go back to Cynthia's and take advantage of these excursions. Cynthia loves Death Valley and know is intimately. There is so much to explore with limited time.
