Worse customer service I have ever experienced! An item ended up being rang up for a completely different price than labeled on the shelf. The shelf price said $3.00, then the cashier rang it up as $10.00 When I caught the overcharge while reviewing my receipt in the parking lot, I went back into the store over to the customer service area. Two female Ralph employees were standing behind the counter gossiping amongst themselves and blatantly ignored my attempts to get their attention. Like completely ignored me. I said, "Hello? Hi!! Can you help me with something? Or point me in the right direction? Hello??" They continued talking amongst themselves as if I hadn't been standing there right in front of them trying to get their attention for over 5 minutes. I could understand if they were busy, but all they had to do was communicate that to me. Instead they were gossiping about their personal life. Very unprofessional to blatantly dismiss and ignore customers. I've never seen that behavior from any establishment in my life. read more

Recently my business had gone to the "$" stores like winco and aldi, but I stopped by because of convenience. I am so happy with Ralph's on country club and cook, especially the wonderful ladies in the service deli department. I spoke with Mary today and she bent over backwards to help me understand how to best prepare my corned beef brisket. I love cooking, I just haven't done much of it, so I'm still learning, and Mary explained exactly what to do. I'm so thankful- Mary spent 15 minutes with me explaining how to do the vegetables with the meat in the crockpot etc. Please give Mary a raise, and thank you Ralph's for hiring people like Mary to work for you! read more

You know i just starting to work close by to this location and thought they were great but when these ladies that work in the hot food section should at least acknowledge the customers when they are behind the counter. I've been coming in here 2-3 times a week sometimes and this lady is always rude and doesn't say anything to the customer. She yells that she's only there to check the chicken and that is all!?!?!? Really!? I would of thought that behind the counter you would get good service like your other stores but No not this store. She ignores you then just walks away because she doesn't want to help. Then no one gets help for 15-20 minutes because they had to call someone else that was busy in another section. It has been a long time since I have been in a Ralph's store but I have to say I was very pleased at the transformation I have seen. This Ralph's was modern , clean and carried a great Variety of Vegan and Vegetarian products. Veggie cheeses I had never seen before as well as veggie patty brands. The bakery offered a variety of items from donuts , cakes, cookies and muffins. I did not try anything because I had my heart set on something else but alas...my partner got cookies. Prices were good and store was clean and bright and produce was fresh. Customer service was fast and friendly. Who could ask for anything more? I just walked out of this store without what I needed. The cashier was so rude. Awful. My card wasn't working in the machine and he told me too bad use another one. I didn't have another one on me. It's not the card I had just used it and he refused to help me y letting me slide the card or giving it to him to entertain. LEARN THE LAW REGARDING SERVICE ANIMALS!!!! Front end manager this evening was rude and disrespectful. I have a fully trained service animal for a reason and the questions I was asked by the front end manager were not only illegal but disrespectful. This will be followed up by a FULL complaint to corporate. I'm tired of being judged and sick of receiving attitude for having a legititimate disability and need for a assistance animal... Yes ASSISTANCE ANIMAL NOT PET OR EMOTIONAL SUPPORT ANIMAL!!! For future relevence to the rude front end manager this evening here is the law: IF you have reason to doubt the validity of the service dog, there are only two questions you may ask: 1. Is this a service animal? 2. What task does this animal provide for you? The courts have been very clear that if a person responds, "Yes, this is my service dog," that the business must take their word for it, and further inquiry is both unjustified and illegal. Staff or management may not ask, "What is your disability?" This is private, protected information and considered harassment of the disabled. You may not ask for the dog to demonstrate the task it provides. It is also illegal to ask for "proof" of any kind, including documentation or a vest, as neither the federal or state government requires it. The only entity allowed to decide if an animal is truly a service dog is a judge in a courtroom. .... I was asked for proof (which I provided because he is a service animal, registered here and the UK, and have nothing to hide) was told my companion needed a vest.. wrong again know the law. Also this is the desert it's not always in the animals best interest to wear a vest in hotter weather especially when we have just come from the UK and the temperature difference is something that takes time to adjust to, all of which again is NONE of their business. Know the law and follow it. Tonight you discriminated against a disabled person. That's against the law and you should be ashamed of yourself. Despite showing proof you couldn't even have the decency to apologise. Apauling customer service especially from a front end manager. Won't ever shop here again. I had one of the worst experiences shopping at Ralph's in Palm Desert. On June 22nd I had a cardiologist appointment in Palm Desert. On the way home I stopped at Ralph's to pick up some milk. Considering the Covid 19 virus I always wear a mask and choose to shop where masks are required for employees and all customers. I presumed that was the case in Palm Desert. I entered the store and found several customers wearing no mask at all. I asked to speak to the manager and was directed to a woman checking out customers. I assumed she was the manager and astoundingly she seemed annoyed that I brought this up, she gave me the impression that she could have cared less. I am 72 and have several underlying conditions which leave me very vulnerable to the virus. I can assure you I will never give that store my business in the future. What a rude awakening to shopping in Palm Desert. I am so grateful that I don't live anywhere near there. read more

I have officially made this my favorite Ralph's. Forget that it's not a fancy "Fresh Fare"; it is convenient, and it boasts a range of offerings. Better still, it has the friendliest employees in the entire organization (or at least that I've encountered.) Associates are so unbelievably helpful, I had to pinch myself. "Am I at Trader Joe's?" o_O I found the produce and meat sections particularly rewarding with their mark-downs, labeled "Manager's Special". I got six chicken thighs for only $1.50 after an in-store coupon for $2.00 off was applied. And for only $2.50, I filled eight fish tacos with fresh Tilapia. Get this: At the register, the cashier was about to scan my mac-and-cheese from the deli when she halted. "Wait, let me go over to the deli because this should be marked down since it's the end of the night." Off she went and returned with a sticker that brought the tub of gooey goodness' price down to $1.52. Now that's what I'm talking about--a grocery store with employees who care about customers. While on vacay in the desert, I was tempted (oh-so-very tempted) to head to my old digs--Gelson's and Bristol Farms--both less than a mile away, though Ralph's was closest. But I actually did something I've never ever done before: I opted for Ralph's each time. read more

If you go on the right day of the week, they mark down the packaged produce that is about to expire. You can get a bag of veggies normally priced at $3.50 for just 99 cents. Of course, if it's fragile (like the organic romaine mix I recently scored), only buy what you can use within a day or two. 99 cents isn't a bargain if it rots before you use it. But those discounts make this Ralphs a more affordable option. read more

Just to be clear, this market is beautiful and they have a fabulous wine selection (when it's stocked). My husband and I walked in yesterday and we saw that they had a "Wine Cellar" area that was locked. The sign on the door says to ask any associate and they will open it for you. I walked over to the produce section where I saw an associate and he called for someone to come over and open it for us. We waited, and waited, then I walked back over and asked another associate if they could assist us. He saw that the woman was on her way. She arrived and was really put out by our asking for assistance. First she had the wrong keys and couldn't open the doors. Then she came back and opened the doors and said "What do you want me to get for you?". I asked if we would be able to peruse and see what they had available and she explained how she wasn't allowed to leave us alone and that they were understaffed. She made us feel extremely uncomfortable by rushing us and I finally said "We want to spend money here, can't we take our time and look at what you have?". This poor-girls Rachel Maddow ran off in a huff and said something like "It may mean my job". The wine cellar had wines ranging from over $200 down to $14, so I'm not sure what the purpose of this is, although I'm sure people steal Ace of Spades Champs all the time, the associates need to be courteous and patient with those of us that just want to purchase a $50 bottle. When we checked out, some gentlemen in front of us had an orchid on the conveyor belt and it fell over. The checker's response was "you shouldn't have put it on the belt" very matter of factly. What happened to grocery associates being helpful and kind? All we encountered here was rudeness. Management really needs to do something about this behavior, as I will totally avoid going there ever again. read more

The store is nice and recently remodeled but they are screwing us again on their liquor sales. They advertise 30% off and it used to be all wine and ALL sizes of liquor but now, in small print, it's only the 750 ml liquors. I really like this grocery store. It's close to home and work. The employees are always really nice, and the ladies that work in the service deli are really funny. This is the busiest and rudest Ralph's. Being that the company I work for is close by and we're always having meetings and doing promos, we like to come to Ralph's because it's convenient and they usually have a decent selection. Each and every time, no matter what I'm buying or whom I'm with, the staff is so rude. They hardly stop to talk to you if in passing and the cashier clerks must hate their jobs because it seems like I'm bothering them by buying things. They are short and brief, never giving direct answers to questions and upset with the customer when the machine malfunctions. I've been a cashier clerk before and I understand long tired days and ugly customers. This repeated horrible customer service however is not just a bad day, it's a bad culture of the whole store in its entirety. read more

I love this store. They are now using cartons instead of plastic containers for the salads which I agree with the only proble with this is their boxes open and they don't tape them closed. So when you leave the store these boxes reopen and whatever sandwich you may have put in it it's a mess. read more

Nobody was there to help me and when I asked workers from other departments they had no clue where the person was and what time that department was closed. They made no efforts to help me. Great staff. However, the soup in the Deli is NEVER available. Always empty! We try to buy the soup just about every day. We have addressed this issue to management but have had ZERO success. We have to go to a different Ralphs to purchase our daily soup when this Ralphs is just around the corner from us. Please fix this as many others feel the same way. read more
