I believe I'm done!! Cashiers are extremely friendly, but there needs to be more! I don't know what the issue is with people working. Do they have a lack of staff? Or people not showing up? Seems like the same 4 people work the front line. No matter what day/time I go in, same people working. Month or so when I spoke to the new Manager, he said he was "looking into the issue", but seems to be getting worse. Remember to take a basket from the parking lot, rarely are their baskets in the basket corral in front of the store, but in a 30-minute shopping trip, 2 different employees sweeping the aisles? Only one cashier at 3:30pm on Tuesday afternoon. Went to self-checkout. Attendant had to "assist" me 4-times, all 6 self-checkouts in use and all but 2 seemed to be having issues. As usual, I had a 40-pack of water which I had to lift from the cart to scan, the employee was running between checking out customers with alcohol, lottery winner, and 4 malfunctioning machines. Put a scanner in! Sheesh! Every place with self-checkout has a hand-held scanner!! When I finally finished, inserted my card and requested cash back. Apparently the machine was out of cash, Help is on the way - AGAIN!! . This took 12 minutes as the poor employee did not have enough cash in her drawer. She had to go looking for someone with keys to get more cash! So the choices are, either wait in line of the ONE cashier (the line was 3 people with FULL baskets), or risk the understaffed self-checkout with malfunctioning machines! I like the employees, I like the closeness to home, but I'm fed up with the lack of cashier's! Supposedly a new Manager, but the situation is getting worse, not better! read more

I use to go here a lot. One day, this skinny Caucasian male cashier checked my items out and seemed to have a problem with me shopping there. I've seen him work there for a long time (since my first visit) so I would assume he's a manager or something, but this is the first time he was at the register for me. He was incredibly rude and made a big fuss over everything. For example, my items fell over so I grabbed them to stand them back up, and he would throw his hand up and shake his head like it was such a terrible thing. This is worst grocery store I have ever been in. The isles are crowded with employees stocking and you cannot get through. Not to mention they are chatting about their weekend plans and cussing as if they are at a local pub. They have no checkers, forcing you to use self checkout yet if you have alcohol you then have to get in another line to check out again. All the while the lines keep getting longer and longer. All this on a Sunday morning at 8:30 am. Other customers were saying it is like this no matter what time of the day you choose to shop. Received $700.00 in gift cards after death of my son, 2 Uber Eats worth 600.00 and 1 In N Out for 100.00. Receipt showed all activated. The In n Out card worked well, however, the Uber Eats card would not activate when we went to register them on Uber Eats website. We called Ralphs grocery store corporate and they told us that they cannot do anything for us and that we needed to contact Uber Eats Corp. Ralphs did however tell us that the cards had the wrong # on them, I'm not sure how they figured that out. We tried to enter the new number Ralph's gave us but it did not work. We spoke with Uber Eats via email and phone they told us to contact Ralphs as it is not their problem. We told them we did and Ralphs said the problem is on Uber Eats end. Uber eats then offered to escalate the issue to their Administration Dept. They in turn asked us to send a copy of the receipt and copies of the cards, we did this twice as they kept asking us for them even though we already submitted them. We spoke to corporate at least 3 times explaining the issue which has not been resolved they said the problem was not an Uber Eats problem but they offered to look into it further. The cards were bought in Dec 2022 and they still have not resolved the issue Uber Eats and Ralphs keep blaming each other. read more

There is not much I can say about a grocery store. I will say this, has most necessities. The staff was nice, friendly, and patient. I do wish they would have more sales. The price is a little high. I would of course go here again to shop for food. The location is close by my house enough. I also noticed that I went quite early so alot of the staffs were stocking the isles and there was only 1 cashier. I had to ask since my cart did not meet the 15 or less items cash register. Beware of one very unpleasant (although selectively so) worker and not much hope for improvement. I had a very disturbing experience (rudeness and hostility upsetting enough to make me sick to my stomach afterwards) and tried to report it to the manager on duty. That manager gave me a 30 minute window on another day to call another manager to deal. I found that to be inconvenient and tried to use the comment form on the corporate site. My submission repeatedly failed to go through with some information about the methods of reporting ADA grievances one of which was the comment form that wasn't working. On a hunch, I just wrote something meaningless in the comment section and, voila, that went through without a hitch. Obviously something in my description of the event triggered some sort of their issues detection, and obviously that detection is making sure that no official record is made of my complaint. Very sneaky. I was only hoping that the offending individual (who supposedly had complaints from several customers just on that one day) would get some better training, but I guess that'd be expecting too much. read more

SW side of Euclid near Chapman Ave. Oh sure this may not be as large or fully stocked as many other Ralph's Grocery Stores out there, but I love this one. They are (finally) recently renovated inside and actually offer more than they used to. They've had "Grand Opening" specials going on for quite some time now which prove to provide very good deals on many different products. I noticed their Deli area has gotten more creative so that's very nice. They also now offer a Salad Bar. Sometimes instead of going to the local Subway I would head over to Ralph's Deli and have a nice sized and mostly delicious Submarine Sandwich made. *heads up on that if you choose to go this route... their regular ham is pretty salty so you may want to pay a little extra to upgrade to a higher quality ham, but the rest of their sandwiches proved awesome. Their staff is super nice and helpful as well as informative. They offer regular check out stands as well as the kind you can use yourself. Join Rewards Club for more savings. There is plenty of parking in this lot. If you're looking to eat some fast food there is a Jack in the Box and a Hong Kong Express in the same lot or across the street is Los Cotijas and across from there is a Yogi's, a Subway, and a Starbucks... or if you want to sit down for some good Thai food then there is Cuti Thai over in the same challenging lot at Yogi's. read more

I have had some very strange encounters at this Ralph's grocery store. I heard an employee as I was leaving speaking to the security guard about someone shoplifting. Now I don't condone this behavior in any sense so please don't take this wrong. I heard this employee a female older woman probably in her 30s telling the security guard if they catch anybody stealing that she would shoot them. Then I had another employee as I was checking out saying something to me about being a feminist and backed off and said he wasn't trying to offend me. It was rather late that evening and I thought well maybe it's just that everybody's tired I don't know I thought it was very unprofessional and am I in no way a feminist. But to hear an employee say they would shoot somebody over stealing something really kind of took me back. I don't condone stealing but in this economy, I understand people are hungry and cannot afford to eat I don't think that's a reason to kill someone though not making stealing right either way this is really out there in left field. If this is how Ralph condones are employees to act and speak in front of customers I will not be returning. read more

I have been an almost daily customer here for the last year. I don't know what has happened but in recent weeks this place has gone downhill. This used to be a fast, friendly, and convenient supermarket. That changed when they started closing the self checkout early, which means every time you have to wait in a very long line since there is only on cashier/checkout lane open. That pretty much killed any convenience. Now they have taken to stopping customers from coming in so that they can close the store earlier than they are supposed to. They use the excuse that Kroger allows them to close the store early if they have enough customers. Total BS. I was there tonight at 12:40 and was told this nonsense; meanwhile I coul clearly see only two customers in the checkout line. The store is supposed to be open for twenty more minutes! PS: I don't know the name of the new night security guard (he has a gray beard, balding, and wears way too much tactical gear for a security guard at a supermarket in Orange County), and is very rude, looking down at literally every customer from old people to kids who enter the store and acting like he runs the place. Definitely could use some customer service and politeness training. I used to love this supermarket but am now done with coming here. read more

I can't give a good review, I was here last Saturday at around 9:30 am for the very purpose of buying eggs and when I go to look for them they were all gone even the pricier organic ones, anyways I ask a Ralphs associate if they're anymore eggs and he said they were sold out, I told him, and hour and a half after opening and they are all gone, and I told him it was my third time trying to buy eggs and he just told me it's the virus, I wanted to tell him off right there on the spot but I held myself back, I even told the cashier lady I didn't want to come to the store anymore. People need to stop hoarding and panic buying, they keep saying it on the internet and news but they just don't want to listen and be stupid. Until this coronavirus has passed I will not go to this Ralphs or any other supermarket, I will go to cvs pharmacy or wherever but I'm not going to Stand in a long line like an idiot at other supermarkets either read more

I would like to express my gratitude for the floral department- in fact my overall experience in the store as a whole has been exemplar. I've shopped at this store for 10 years now. This is now the second time I've used the floral department (both times for special occasions) and floral team has exceeded my expectations. My last request was a pretty sizable order and it was a last minute graduation request for20 students. The manager said give me 30 minutes! The stress and anxiety I felt immediately washed off my face and I was able to check that off my very long list of things to do. Not only did we go through which flowers worked best, I left assured that the bouquets my my 20 graduates would not only be special, they would be personal. The arrangements were PERFECT and had little touches of glitter, added garnish, and ribbons and a beautiful mesh wrap on each bouquet. (in 30 minutes!!!) Upon arrival, I saw them and immediately loved them but more importantly my student athletes felt special and acknowledged on their spacial day. All of the parents raved about the presentation and the beautiful floral arrangement that each student received. I was a star but I knew who the real star was- your floral department manager!!! I can't wait to have more events that require flowers. I know where I will continue to go. read more

I don't often go to this Ralph's--I don't live in Orange County, but my family and I have occasionally stopped in here for many years. At about 7:30 tonight (5/9/19) my mother and I went through the checkout line. I put the three shopping bags that were ours on the belt with our groceries. One bag was green, one bag was yellow, and one bag was beige. All three were completely empty. A brunette woman, "Stacey" was the cashier. A blonde woman, "Tina" was bagging. I saw Tina putting some of my mother's groceries in a black bag and a red bag and putting them in the cart. I told her those were not our bags. She said in a very rude, argumentative tone, "Yes, they are, you brought them in, they were inside the bag." There was a blue bag at the checkout that had other bags in it, but that bag and those bags were not mine and they were not my mother's. Neither one of us brought the blue bag with the bags in it into the store. Someone else must have left them there. I tried to explain this. Tina turned her back on me, stopped bagging my mother's groceries, and went to the next line and started bagging groceries there. I tried to explain to Stacey that the black bag and red bag were not mine. She said basically the same thing Tina said. I asked to speak to the manager. Stacey said Tina was the manager. I went over to the other line to talk to Tina, since she'd turned her back on me and walked away without bothering to listen to my complaint earlier. This time she said I was getting in her face, I was threatening her (I was not, all I was doing was trying to explain about the mix-up with the bags, honestly), and she was going to call the police, about how she was the manager. I told her I'd complain to corporate and see about her getting fired. She smirked, snickered, and said "They'll never fire me, you're being rude to me." She again threatened to call the police, again shouted from the other check stand about how I was being rude to her and she had witnesses and I was threatening her and I was getting in her face and she was going to call the police. She was brandishing a cell phone while she said it. One of these two women also said "You always come in here" (a lie, since I live in the next county and rarely come in the store) and "You're always like this" (another lie, since normally the clerks don't mix up my bags and then tell me bags that aren't mine are). Stacey at this point said she was going to call the police, she was going to call her husband who she said worked there (who cares where her husband works) and then she told my mother, "I feel sorry for you. If she were my daughter, I'd beat her." I told her if she threatened to beat me, I'd call the police. She started brandishing her cell phone and saying some more how she was going to call the police. By this time my mother was through, her groceries were paid for and bagged (in two of someone else's bags) so we left. My mother and I are both seniors and my mother has dementia, so this whole situation upset her and me very much. I will complain to the corporate level about the lack of customer service exhibited by both these women, and request they both be fired. The entire situation could have been avoided if Tina had allowed me to explain about the bags and remedied the matter in a few minutes. I doubt I will ever go in this store again, although I may be curious to see if corporate allows these two employees to continue after both behaved the way they did in front of dozens of customers. I hope the person who left the other bags comes back for them, and I hope Tina and Stacey show the same lack of courtesy to them that they showed to me and my mother. read more

I went into the store with my older sister to buy some lunch. We were going though the seasonal aisle when a worker that i would describe as female, middle to late 40s, medium height, with black hair almost hit us with a cart. We quickly moved out her way but struggled since I was putting away my sisters AirPods into her bag. We didn't think anything of it until on the announcement security was called to the seasonal aisle. We thought it was a mere coincidence. We continued on our shopping and went to the deli aisle. Then we heard security get called to the deli aisle. Me and my sister browsed around when the same worker and another worker (male, Caucasian, black/grey beard, medium height) who I presumed to be security, although he was dressed in normal clothing, came towards us. The female worker walked away and that's when the male worker asked us if we needed help. But it didn't seem like he was asking in concern but in a very rude and harsh tone. We replied in a very nicely demeanor back not wanting to escalate the situation. At the same time my sister needed her glasses for the menu and I gave it to her. When I was putting her glasses back in the bag I heard rude remarks from the female worker. She made a side comment indicating we were stealing from the store. After that I felt really uncomfortable and was also angered in a way. I get that stores have priorities of keeping a store safe but it was the way we were being treated. We were followed around and was not even being told of the situation. It did die down once we paid and I made sure to keep out reusable bags on sight of the cameras. This was a really upsetting experience and I honestly hope their actions weren't built off of racial profiling. I hope the workers go through some sort of lesson to be taught because I would hate for this to happen to another person that looks like me. I always come for the rib eye steaks which ranges from $9-$10 for a pretty big steak. I love the invention and implementation of self-check out. It does cut down on wait time and it's fun too. This particular Ralph's is my go to Ralph's because it's the closest, it's very clean, and the service is great. Ralph's used to be quite expensive, remember the double coupons days? Then they went through closing some Ralph's because I guess the prices were too high and not enough business was coming through the doors. Now their prices are pretty competitive with Stater Brothers and Food for Less (their sister store). They change their prices every Weds., so check out the weekly circular that comes in the mail every Tuesday. Their produce is always fresh, meat and seafood here is superior, and their alcohol department is top notch.
