I was hoping this would be a nice local place to get a bite; unfortunately, it was not. Starting with, we stood at the door several minutes before anyone acknowledged us. There were maybe 4 occupied tables at the time (I say this because I am always looking at extenuating circumstances for a bad overall experience). Our fish sandwich and clam strips were overcooked, tasted like they were cooked in old oil. The clams were so hard they were left uneaten, by the time the server checked on us we just wanted to leave. Leaving was another issue, after 3 attempts to get the correct check (we did not ask to delete or change anything) we gave up and paid what appeared to be the closest. I think the final irk for me was there was only one server and when she got busy another person got up from hanging out at the bar and helped her only briefly then returned to their bar seat while the other server struggled. As a former restaurant person, I do not like people going from bar patron to food server; it's just bad management. If you want beer and a pool table, then it may be your place; but I would skip the food.

Immediately after you pass the entrance, you're greeted with the comforting embrace of the cool A/C that relieves you of the unforgiving Florida temperatures. The area is mostly dark, illuminated by several layers of lighting ranging from the neon lights of the arcade cabinets to the dim warm lights of the chandeliers, creating a welcoming and restful atmosphere. Seating is plentiful and plush, allowing you to get comfortable with ease. Customer service was decent, but one issue is that at times the bar stand is unattended even when not busy and there is no way to alert staff that you're there. However, the staff were polite and courteous. There are several arcade cabinets of different genres, pool tables, and a ping pong table. The entertainment options are vast and varied, making it difficult to find yourself bored during your stay. If I had to suggest one thing, it would be placing some device that allows you to alert staff that you're there, such as a bell. Another suggestion would be to add a smart fridge vending machines that allow you visitors access to non-alcoholic beverages such as water, soda, or juice. This would be especially convenient for visitors like me who're not interested in alcohol and want a quick grab and go beverage. The Dogpound Sports bar fulfills its goals well, providing a comfortable space that serves as a great rest spot and entertainment center and is a great break spot for anyone coming from intense exercise or trying to escape Florida's heat like I was.

This was my first time using Toast. Typically I use OpenTable or Yelp but they were not available on there to make a reservation unfortunately. Parking was plentiful between the lot and street parallel parking. All the parking was free! Once seated, we were greeted by our fantastic server, Neli. She was absolutely amazing! Very personable & friendly! I ordered the More Cheese Flatbread and a side of Breakfast Potatoes. The More Cheese is a flatbread topped with garlic sauce, mozzarella, Gouda, white cheddar, parmesan, fried parsley, and crushed red pepper flakes. I asked for mine without red pepper flakes. For the Breakfast Potatoes, I questioned if they had peppers in them. Neli and the kitchen made sure they did not put them in. Both were absolutely delicious! The flatbread was perfectly cheesy, the crust was thin and not hard, and the fried parsley was a great addition! The Breakfast Potatoes were crispy and I loved the flaky sea salt on them! Ended up having enough for leftovers, which was my dinner that night and just as good at home as it was at the restaurant. Would definitely come back and recommend.

Walking in, the space is beautiful. The lighting fixtures really stand out and give the restaurant a stylish, inviting ambiance. The staff was warm, attentive, and provided great service throughout the evening, which made the experience more enjoyable. I did enjoy both appetizers and dinner, but wasn't impressed by the drinks. I did notice wine tasting in the back room. Even though it's a bit of a drive for me, I would come back to check that out. There's plenty of parking, which is always a plus.

We used to be greeted when we walked in, this time the bartender just stood around. Didn't even acknowledge us when we walked in. So we then awkwardly made our way to a table thinking maybe she'll walk over. After watching her walk outside and smoke her vape multiple times (using two vapes at once) - I went up to the bar to get our orders. I made my order and made to deliveries of my order to our table myself. Figured, okay, maybe she doesn't do tables at all. Turns out, she was down to help her friends drinking outside tho. Seemed very uninviting. Lastly, I noticed this place finally had in house food. So we scanned the menu and ordered. There was only one person at the bar and one other table at the brewery. We figured, since it said "Table Number 5" they bring out the food order (like Dade City Brewing). Nope, the guy just yelled across the brewery for me to come over. Which, whatever that's fine. However, I ordered a pizza from the place in the brewery. It was the most unappealing and disgusting pizza I've ever had in my life. It was clearly a low-end store bought frozen pizza that was burnt and hard as a rock. Tasted absolutely disgusting and wasn't even cooked evenly. This was worse than gas station pizza. We only ate one slice and threw the pizza away. Absolutely nasty and such a waste of money. Again, we definitely won't be back. From service, or general professionalism from the bartender to completely awful pizza - the overall experience was 0 out of 10. Sad to see since the brewery used to be great.

I don't think I've ever had a bad beer at DCBH, which is no small feat given the wide range of styles they do. I like pale ales, particularly hazy IPAs, and they've had great ones--but they also have great wheat beers, and porters, and sours. There's usually a kumquat beer on the menu. It's great, too. Really. The interior is spacious and well-lit, and on days that the weather permits, the roll-up doors to the patio and sometimes to 7th Avenue are open. It's a great place to hang around with a beer and write, and probably a great place to hang around with a beer and actually be social, if you're the type who does that. The service is always friendly, fast, and generally above and beyond. Worth special note: DCBH has always had a restaurant counter that's a separate business, and they've on (I think) their third one, Uncle Fatty's. They're really solid, delivering not only pub staples but sometimes surprising specials; it's some of the best food I've had at any brewery. They need to be open later on Thursdays. So: it's good. Go there.
