I contacted Ralph Opfer floors, Inc to installed vinyl for my three rooms, closets, and a small hallway. They did a masterpiece of work. The cement floor is not even but make it the very best possible way to get it the best look and steady floor. Specially, Skyler did a wonderful job. His works are very neat, clean, and meticulous. He takes a little bit more time to make it the best look. Frankly, It is more than I expected. I highly recommended him & the Ralph Opfer floors, Inc. Price is also very reasonable compared to other estimates. I asked them to use Lowe's baseboard because I like the rich look, but it cost me a very small amount above the original quotation. This is a family-run business, and they do their absolute best to beat big-business prices. They told me that if I got a cheaper quote somewhere else, they'd do their best to beat it. Even after visiting two other stores, we couldn't come close to a quote that beat theirs. We got luxury vinyl, and we love it. They walked us through our options and things we'd want to think about. It was very much a customer driven process. Plus, their installers did an AMAZING job and they were so gosh-darn nice about everything. We had a very good experience working with this company. They are professional and very knowledgeable on what they do. It was a smooth transaction from the beginning up to the end of the project. Sam ( front desk), Lynn (owner) and Skyler + one guy, I forgot his name (Installers) were all awesome and easy to talk to. The pricing was really fair. We are on a really strict budget but they were able to work with us to get the job done. They also have monthly specials, this helped us on the bill too. The installation was very good and the professionalism is outstanding, you can tell that they are doing this for a very long time. Oh, by the way, We did not feel pressured when we first visited the store for a quote. All we get was good advise and knowledge about floors :-) After the project, this company sent us a thank you card, official receipt and free gifts of either cleaning kit, sliders or percent off on next project. This was one of those things that after it was all completed, I asked myself "why did I wait so long?!". My floors look amazing and were completed in less than 2 days. House remodelling can be somewhat stressful, but everyone that I interacted with were completely professional which helped me feel comfortable through the whole process. I recently had some flooring installed by Ralph Opfer floors and wanted to give some feedback for others. Some background regarding my job: I removed the old tile flooring in my kitchen and wanted to match my existing hardwood floor in the surrounding rooms and have it carry into the kitchen. I live in an older home so I knew I wouldn't be able to get it perfect, but wanted to match it the best I could. After the install was finished I was not happy with how the wood looked compared to the existing flooring so I called other wood finishers to see what could be done. Every other wood flooring contractor says the same thing regarding my job: "The wrong wood grade was used in your install." This is the #1 reason why my floor does not match the existing wood in my house, the wrong wood grade was used. This isn't a matter of old wood vs new wood, this was a mistake on their part when estimating what wood to use on my kitchen floor. After being provided samples of different finishing material, I now see that the wrong stain type was also used, further differentiating the kitchen floor from the rest of the house. I am now faced with spending even more money just to correct this installation. Regardless of my experience, I would recommend this contractor, because they were very professional and did a fine installation in a very timely manner, it's just the details that were missed. If you have a brand new installation, I would feel comfortable recommending them, however if your job needs a bit more finesse and detail oriented finishing, I would not recommend them. Pros: + Very professional, provided great customer service regarding the scheduling of the installation. + Installation of the floor went very smoothly and was done in a very timely manner. + The installer provided additional coats of stain in order to try and match the existing hardwood. (In the end more coats of the wrong stain isn't going to solve much!) Cons: - Wrong wood grade used. - Wrong wood finish/stain used. - These small mistakes are costly to fix, since now a new finisher need to re-sand their job to fix the stain. Tip: Always request a flooring sample! I didn't and wish I had. read more

I called three flooring companies. S&G, Empire and Ralph O, S&G was twice what Empire was ( plus so unorganized and lacking customer service from the first call), and Empire was $800 more than Ralph. My commercial office was 600 square feet and was an easy job. Sales rep showed up on time, made a quick sketch and did some measurements. I had already told them what colors I was leaning towards. He didn't waste my time. Got the quote in a couple hours. Hired this company! Sales rep said 6 hours to tear out and reinstall. The installer showed up on time and worked without stopping. He finished the job in a little over 3 hours. Now that's under promising and over delivering. Plus the installer spoke English!! Carpet looks great! Office and sales rep coordinated and communicated perfectly. I would not hesitate to hire this company for my next job! read more

Everything about this company was awesome. The estimator was the owner's husband. Super nice, low pressure guy. The price was good (don't even THINK about doing Empire today btw. Overpriced and poor quoting process... got a quote on binder paper in pen with no itemization!) Then process for booking was smooth and the guy they sent out to do the work was fricken awesome. We could not be happier. Great quality, great demeanor... you should pick them if you need floors. If we have another job we will certainly go with these guys. I was told they will contact me in a few days that was two weeks ago. I called them on 11/7/18 to let them know I never heard from them. I was beyond happy with our engineered wood floor purchased and installed through Ralph Opfer Floors. We first installed wood in our step down living room and dining room, replacing existing carpet. We loved it so much that a year later we replaced the tile in the rest of the downstairs with the same wood. Lynn helped us find the same wood from the manufacturer since it had been discontinued. Ralph Opfer's installer is truly an artisan craftsman. Our flooring is a distressed style with planks of 3 widths. The Installer laid it out in a careful pattern that highlighted the beauty of the wood. He paid attention to every detail to give us a truly custom look with the threshold, baseboards and all the finishing. The icing on the cake was how well he respected our home and cleaned up after the job. I was amazed. Ralph Opfer will handle a lot of the paperwork by email if you want to limit trips to the store. My husband and I were in the process of getting quotes for laminate flooring to replace carpet in our 12 year old home. I decided to check out their showroom before making a decision. So glad we did. I was greeted by a friendly and helpful young woman when I walked in the showroom and she gave me a lot of information about the different types of flooring. I needed my bathroom floor redone, and also wanted to get a new vanity installed also. Ralph Opfer was able to have one of their contractors do all that, plus the plumbing to hook my toilet and faucet up also, so that I was able to complete the whole bathroom. My family and I showed up at Ralph Opfer Floors on a Saturday afternoon (based on a recommendation from our installer). We had previously only looked at flooring at a couple "box stores". Lynn was very welcoming and VERY knowledgable. Based on what we described to her as our flooring preference, she was able to provide us with many choices. She told us the pros and cons of each product, as well as information on the companies that made the product. We ended up choosing a laminate floor that no one would ever suspect wasn't hardwood. Her prices were so good that we were able to upgrade the pad under the floors and still be under budget. On another note, our 6-year-old son was getting a little restless in the warehouse while we were discussing flooring options. Lynn (and her daughter?) fired up the popcorn machine and let the kids "help" make popcorn and have a snack while we finalized our purchase. Love that! read more

We just got our floors installed and couldn't be happier with the service we received from start to finish. Starting with the friendly and knowledgeable owners/staff all the way down to the final install by Greg - installed beautifully, with such exacting skill and even a smile on his face. We ordered hardwood flooring from here at the beginning of the summer and it turned out to be amazing. We installed some Mannington hardwood in our living room and dining room 8 years ago and recently decided we wanted something similar for our guest bedroom. After hearing about the business from a friend, we talked to one of the workers and gave him a 2"x5" sample of the floor - the only piece of it we had left - and he said they would look into it for us. A couple days later they sent us an email with a link to the exact same floor, still being milled, and gave us a very reasonable price! We installed the floor ourselves so we ordered the hardwood and also the glue (for significantly cheaper than we could have purchased ourselves), and when they saw that we lived only a mile or two away from one of the workers, he volunteered to deliver it out to our house on his way home.
