Hockey is king here Hey Sioux Sioux-ooo, Sioux yeah-yeah We will kick your ass (For better or for worse, this IS a Grand Forks institution, and it IS impressive. Mr. Engelstad plastered the entire hockey arena with the beloved (and offensive) 'Fighting Sioux' logo as a giant F.U. to the world. But, when you spend $100 million on a college arena, you certainly get a nice looking building! Check it out. Highly recommended.)

The main rink is certainly nice but my review is for the Olympic rink. We were told that our kids will be competing in the nicest rink this entire time leading up to the Midwestern Sectional and they put them up in the practice rink. We flew 1000 miles to skate in a rink equivalent of a local high school rink and pay $4 for water bottle. Airfares doubled for this week booking ahead several months. They do not have the right facilities to run this kind of event and I feel bait and switched. Very low turn out for vendors compared to all the other competitions we've been to in the last four years. We've been scammed. To Synchro skating selection committee, why was it okay to treat one groups of young athletes like second class?

This is a professional stadium in a college town, and really brings the Fighting Sioux to a whole other level.

Great place to stay, especially if you're traveling on the "gov rate". These are indeed suites,…read morethey have a mini kitchen with a full size dishwasher, microwave and fridge. There is a small couch, desk, dresser, two side table and (of course) the bed. The closet has space for hanging clothes, three half shelf's and a full length shelf across the very top. Amenities are nice; pool, small gym, jacuzzi, and laundry. The hotel has a breakfast buffet each day, and on Monday thru Wednesday they have a social hour with beer, wine, and snacks. The lobby, elevators, common area carpets and walls look great. The staff are incredibly nice and were more than helpful in telling me about places to see and eat at. The room I had was very nice, clean and comfortable. It has a thermostat I could control to make the room more comfortable. If you have a critical eye, the room was showing a little wear. The vinyl flooring in the kitchen and the ceiling in the shower had some slight water damage. The desk chair was shedding its top layer of fabric, and the ottomans had seen their fair share of use. Overall great experience and I would come back again. I love the Amenities offered here to guests, and the staff are very nice.

I have no real complaints other than the thin walls. I could hear the next door room snoring incredibly loud. They offer a lot of amenities such as dinner, wine and beer in the evening and breakfast. The breakfast was kinda garbage but it was free. Basically some bagels, fruit, oatmeal and odd omelets. They rotate bacon or sausage every other day. The pool area was nice and it remained open until 11. The hottub was actually hot as well. Overall it's not a bad spot to stay the night. They have kitchenettes in the rooms and the beds were comfortable. Plenty of hot water with good shower pressure. Try to get a top floor room though.

I was skeptical of this place as I have always favored the Hampton Inn next door, but due to some…read moreevent during the course of my stay, they couldn't get me the discounted rate. I chose this hotel as an alternative. I pulled up and this hotel seemed like every other hotel until I walked into the lobby. The setup was quite unique and wasn't sure if there was goinv to be a burlesque show after. There were magenta silk curtains around the dining room and kitchen area. It was quite modern and chic to say the least. The lady at the counter was very friendly and helpful. The room is quite large and it was a suite with a pull out couch. There was a divider between the room and the living room which had a work station. The rooms had a TV in the living room but not in the bedroom area, but since it is on a swivel, it can be watched while in bed. It also has a fridge and microwave. One of the best and most important features of this room is the number of outlets. In this day of electronics overload, I had enough outlets to charge my 2 laptops, watch, phone, tablet, etc without having to ration. There were 2 bathrooms per se. One was a commode and sink, while the other was a shower and sink. Both were pretty large. The gym is pretty small as expected, but has 3 machines and free weights along with a pull down bar machine. More than most hotels of this caliber. Breakfast is actually much better than the traditional Continental breakfast with 2 hot items, oatmeal, fruits, toppings like cheese, spinach and salsa and cold cut ham. The best part of breakfast is you can get to eat on real plates and real silverware... what wha?

I'm going to say that this was the hotel of choice for years for me. I was here this week (May…read more2026) and my shower was gross. I beg you to use bleach in shower to get rid of black mold. There is no way a cleaning crew can walk out of my bathroom and say it was ok. I also had black long hair on my bathroom shelves. I'm blonde. I beg you to clean so you continue to get business and not be compared to the road king. Step it up. AND my plastic glasses were not properly wrapped in sealed plastic so Ofcourse they were garbage. Do better! it's not hard. And if people want clean towels bring them. Do not make us bring down Dirty and exchange them. We pay you. It's not a favor. I see these staff people sitting around. Be a hotel not a dorm. Thanks.
