This is a Japanese and Korean haircut salong. If you come here for a basic trim, then I'm sure this place lives up to its name of being a "Quick" haircut shop. If you need more styling though, then be prepared for them to take a bit longer with cutting your hair.
I do like that they place offers an online booking option. If you come without booking, you can pay just $19.99, and if you come during their weekday happy hour you can pay an even lower price of $14.99. It has to be a quick cut though. My daughter and I both had a significant amount of hair chopped off so we had to pay more money. I was satisfied with my cut though so I would definitely consider coming back here again.
Online booking is $25 (I highly recommend this to avoid waiting around. Overheard some people walking in without appointments being told that they might have to wait about an hour to get their hair cut). I think it's well worth the extra few dollars to be able to pick a day and time that suits you. When I booked online, a tip was added so it came to 28.75 each. I should have read it more carefully but my mind was a bit frazzled that day. Somehow I thought the extra $3.75 was a tax so I left another tip in cash when I left. Oh well...that was on me for not reading the receipt properly.
The staff here are friendly but I think there was a slight communication barrier. I had sent a short video to them earlier about how to donate hair as I wanted to donate our hair once it was cut, but for the place we wanted to donate to, there were very specific instructions on how to collect the hair for donation. While they were very friendly and agreeable to helping out with the hair donation, I don't think they actually watched the video I sent, so they didn't quite manage to collect all of the hair that I had hoped to collect. While I used to donate our hair for making wigs, the last couple of times I have donated our hair to a company that uses the hair for making special mats that soak up oil from the ocean. I think the hair stylists at Raki thought we were donating our hair to make wigs and just did the standard procedure that's usually required for cutting off hair ponytails to make wigs.
Oh well. I still managed to collect a good amount of hair for our purposes, and I was happy with the haircut they gave me so...I will definitely consider coming back here again for my next haircut. read more
