When I book for an ombre appointment here for the same day I didn't expect to actually get one…read moresince it's a last minute thing but they were able to book me with Tania. I didn't know she was a junior stylist until I was already seated, I noticed the she were asking her colleagues for opinions/suggestions and that's when I realized that she's probably a junior stylist. I wanted to get a very light blonde ombre and because I dyed my hair red before it was really hard to get to the colour I wanted. Brittany, Nicole and Stephanie were really great on giving Tania their suggestions and tips on how to come to the most possible colour i wanted. It took us over 4 hours to get my ombre done since I had red dye before. Tania was very patient and nice... and I like how she's not overly talkative, I hate it when when my hairdresser talks too much when all you want to do is relax and read your book. The ladies here are all very nice and helpful, nice ambiance! I'm not sure why is there reviews regarding the service prices. I think it's pretty reasonable, it's almost the same prices as everywhere else. Though I paid cheaper since I got a junior stylist but even then I think a master hairstylist is a fair price. Keep in mind though that it's easy to miss this place, there's no signage on the window that says Mint Lounge, apparently the sign is high up.

If I could give this salon zero stars, I would! The reason…read morethis salon and staff are so dysfunctional (check other reviews) is because the owner, Lisa is a complete lunatic. I attended the salon a several times with Lisa as my stylist (unfortunately). She took great pleasure in telling me how one of the junior stylists ended up in tears at work because Lisa instructed her staff to pretend they forgot her birthday. Nice! At my last visit, Lisa was having a bad day and told me she was unhappy with her own hair style and colour. She then decided, with malicious intent, to take it out on my hair. She preceded to destroy my shoulder length hair during a colouring session by over-processing. Later, she showed no remorse and acted like it was an every-day occurance. Do yourself a favour, in a world full of hair salons, definitely give this one a pass!

I got my hair cut by Terry, and overall, pretty decent experience…read more Just fyi-- this place employs lots of Koreans, so some may not be the most fluent in English. They accept walk-ins, but the place looked like it could get busy sometimes based on the number of chairs they have. It's a pretty large space, and you can even hear their washer and dryer running near the staff area. Most hair salons are needed to be cleaned constantly since, duh.. Hair's everywhere, but I think they could also pay a little attention to cleaning the molding at the base of the walls. Hair was swept up frequently, but I could see some dirt on the walls that had gathered over the years. Terry himself was friendly and was excellent in understanding the shape and status of my hair. When I told him I wanted to make my flat thin hair look a little more voluminous, he suggested we put small layers in to give it that look. He checked with me how many centimeters would be good to trim off since I asked for my split ends to be gone, and he was also great about making conversation throughout my experience. Only downside was he dropped the straightener he was going to use to curl my hair... he dusted it off a little bit, but no sanitary wipes used or anything... I would do the same at my own house, but in a salon where tons of people's hair have been on the floor and cornucopia of shoes have stepped on the floor, I was not the happiest when he didn't clean the tool. My cut and curls turned out amazing, though, and all for $28 before tip. Not too bad.

Used to be decent 4-5 years ago, now just sub-par. Spent 40-50 mins cutting my hair, very uneven,…read moredefinitely not worth the $55 they charge. Normally I could make it work with blowdrying and some wax, but even that's not helping. Very disappointed. Courteous service overall, but felt like there was language barrier and some of my requests didn't make it through.

I didn't want to drive to Vancouver and so I went on online and found Splash. Nikki did a good job with my hair. She made some slight adjustment to it and she explained to me why before she started. She is very good with her job. The place is clean and location is not bad. The best part is that there are plenty of free parking. They are somewhat hidden. They are located beside one of the T&T entrance tucked away.

Splash came up and we called them to see if they had any availability. Right away they were able to fit her in. I'm not saying that will always be the case, but they did squish her in between some other appointments and made it happen, which really made our day! The owner is extremely friendly and professional; their covid protocol is great and he did ask me to leave a few times because they were at capacity and I was just a guest (which I totally don't mind because I respect their adherence to the rules). Watching them interact with us and other customers, you can tell they treat everyone with the same curiosity, respect, and thoroughness. They are great at what they do, friendly, and accommodating. My girlfriend's request was met positively despite it's complexity; I have definitely gone to other salons who tell you they're busy when they don't want to deal with you. Their location is great for wheelchairs and there is tons of parking nearby.
