While I was not able to get an appointment as quickly as I wished due to scheduling limitations I was seen promptly. From my arrival time to the time I was called back was about 10 minutes (max). Once I was back I received a thorough pre exam and reviewed my history. I have an autoimmune disease that has just caused a multitude of eye issues. After having my eyes dilated I waited about 5 minutes to be seen by the doctor. My daughter had to say something and then they took me back and someone took my blood sugar because I hadn't ate since 4:30 the day before and didn't have any kind of water to drink since 10:30 the night before. My blood sugar was 352 or 353 . The girl who took it said "yeah..it's a little high" Meanwhile they carted in Outback lunch for employees because it was 'Welcome the new Technicians Week'. May I suggest if you are going to 'Welcome' new technicians that you do it after business hours......not on my time or my dime. Shame on Dr. Clary for not stepping up in defense of his diabetic patients or any patients whether to see a doctor or to have scheduled surgery.
