I have an IBD and came to Dr. Rajcok to iron out some irksome kinks I'm still experiencing. Prior to seeing Dr. Rajcok, my GI suggested the specific carbohydrate diet and that has been incredibly helpful with healing most of the worst symptoms of the disease (bleeding, pain, # of bathroom visits). After informing Dr. Rajcok of all the supplements I am already taking and the diet I am currently on, he presented me with research for additional supplements and advised me to start taking them.
I wrongfully assumed he would have full knowledge of the specific carbohydrate diet and that the additional supplements would work in conjunction with my diet; however, after simply googling the supplements, half of them work against my diet. Also, unfortunately, I had already taken them for about a week before I google-checked and consequently my awful symptoms started coming back. I take full responsibility for not double-checking, and I have definitely learned my lesson!
When I informed Dr. Rajcok that one of the supplements were making me feel worse, he recommended a supplement that I was already taking (which I had previously informed him of). I felt unheard. However, the worst thing to me, and why I felt compelled to write this review, is when I told him some of the supplements he recommended were not allowed on my diet (a simple google search can inform you of this), his response back was defensive and unprofessional.
I do think that Dr. Rajcok knows an incredible amount. Also, if you feel lost and don't know where to start, he will be a tremendous guide for you to start your healing. However, if you are going to see him, I would advise you follow his advice alone and not in conjunction with any other treatment. read more
