I've always had a good experience here, the staff always welcomes you when you walk in, I've never had to wait more than a minute or 2 for assistance and those few times you could plainly see they were busy with others. They always have great suggestions on new flavors to try out and are very knowledgeable about their products when I have questions. I also do want to make a point to say that while I don't personally know the owner, I did visit the store one day while a guy who I assumed worked at all the locations doing merchandising, stocking and product updates. They were busy and he also looked very busy but he was standing by the product I needed locked in a case, he happily grabbed it for me and even cashed me out while stating "sorry! Don't use these frequently lololl". I've worked retail management and to be clear, this guy did not HAVE to assist me as there are front of the store staff working and getting paid for it, he took the time away from his own work assignment to help me and did it with a genuine smile on his face. So....."Brett, If this was you at the west Manchester location, THANK YOU. In my case, it was the latter. I needed to find a specific type of hand-rolls. And for those who don't know or aren't as familiar, they not only come in various sizes, but also come pre-wrapped. My time is valuable. Which means I don't wanna waste precious minutes I'll never get back by painstakingly hand-rolling paper into oblivion. Nay. Enter this place to save the day! They've got everything and their selection is vast, lemme tell ya. I also really love the staff here. I'm pretty sure I've been serviced by the same girl both times and she's wicked cool and chill. I just go directly to the register, request my usual, and they have me in and out in less than 2 minutes. If you time it just right, there's almost never a line. I can't imagine there would be anyway, considering how many smoke and vape shops we have throughout the New England area. You have to be 18+ to enter, which....is kinda surprising, considering how many other shops I've been to that only let 21+ people enter. Oh, yeah. I almost forgot that I bought a pretty kick-ass vape device here the first time I arrived. I've been testing this thing out for about 3 weeks now and I gotta say it's pretty.....lit. Sorry. I couldn't resist. If I could change one thing about this store, it would be their location. Unfortunately, they're located on a one way road; meaning you can only turn right after leaving the parking lot. My house is in the opposite direction. This means I have to make a U-turn every single time I come here. Every. Single. Time. Why design cities like this? I just don't get it. Everything he's recommended has been spot on. The pipe tobacco selection is great, and he'll adapt to your preferences mixing a special blend, etc. If certain tobaccos are not available, it's never for lack of trying - Joe has to rely on what can be procured from manufacturers and imported. Tobacco taxes have gone up astronomically so it's a very tough business to make a profit in - it has to be for the love of the product and customers more than anything. Joe is always a gentleman, gracious and genuine. He has a crew of regulars who hang out and enjoy their smokes, and frankly I'm always delighted by their banter. Good guys. Joe is a great proprietor - he's dressed the part in his vest, pocket watch and Sherlock Holmes kind of pipe. He's always ready to help with a huge smile, and very kind way about him. The store is everything it should be - homey, well-furnished, magazines and coffee, man-cave, and filled with the aromas of quality tobaccos. The humidor area is very clean. If someone is looking for a hospital sterile environment in a tobacco store, perhaps they should reconsider smoking in the first place. The clientele is republican/conservative, so if the politics bother you, there's not much to say. This is a gem of a place, and I hope he can stay in business for a long time despite all the legislation against the enjoyment of tobacco.
