Idk why I haven't written this previously but if I could give this store a rating of 1,000,000- I would- not a point less. The highest score available and then some. Raj is the NICEST liquor store owner around. He gets to know you, calls you by name when he sees you, and chats about life. He posts pictures of people with their fish catches on the walls. His prices are comparable to grocery stores if not better. I will purposely drive out of my way to give him business rather than others. It's crazy to think of a liquor store owner as one of your friends- but honestly- when I buy from there- I do. I literally never had met this man in my life but he saw me a few times and remembered my name from my credit card and would then always call me by name when I entered the store. It's stuff like that you remember and it makes you feel good. Raj is very often working when I go in and asks me about my life and genuinely cares. I really think he is a gem and his store will always continue to get my business when needed because of his amazing kindness. Love you Raj and Go Raiders!! read more

I'm 25 years old and this guy looks straight at my ID and says "nope". Guess being from NY isn't allowed if you want to buy from this guy. Wasn't cool about it either. Go spend your money somewhere else read more

Bad customer service and products are overpriced. Did not feel welcomed here and would not recommend.

The absolute best liquor store in town raja always greats us by our name and has great customer service! We can always find what we need. He goes above and beyond for his customers! read more

Terrible selection with lots of ridiculously overpriced items and to top it off the person at the front was super rude.

Raja delivers great service with a wide selection of products. He knows his customers and is always there for a friendly chat.

Best convenient store I been too. Friendly welcoming and the kids always love going there for a candy.

Great selection at good prices. Strong top shelf Bourbon selection and all the mixers you need for your cocktail party

Came in tonight with my government issued FEDERAL (federal trumps state) active duty military ID and was told they only "accept" state issued ID. I said I wouldn't be coming back since the woman at the front couldn't be bothered to look at the back of my MILITARY ID (which shows my birthday clear as day) and another man at the register said "that's fine". Large selection, but over-priced with sub par service. Would rather give my business to a corporation like BevMo than here. read more

Always stocked, and takes special by the case orders. Local wine selection takes up 1/3 of the store. Great staff.

I don't ordinarily write reviews about liquor stores -- but Raja's is no ordinary liquor store. The bullet points: (1) The business is family-run. (2) Raj and his family address all the regulars by first name. They memorized my name off my card on the 2nd visit and they've used it every time since. (3) The store does not sell porn. (4) Partly as a consequence of (1), (2) and (3), the store is always full of friendly banter. (5) They seem to have a pretty good inventory -- although I must admit I usually go for the Ben & Jerry's. \:-D read more

Raja has grocieries, beers, wines, and hard liquor. available. only 20 minutes parking allowed in front of store so decisions on purchases must be made quickly. not a lot of big bottle micros available. most beers not priced. pour: moylan's dry irish stout (22 oz. 6%? 4.49) --interesting brew but not the best from moylan's 3 stars. -body not as robust as others from brewery. on draught: -friendly clerk -bizz probably family runned read more

This store should get no stars. Rude owner and rude customer service. Anyone he may know that's a regular he tries to be nice to and or only as long as it pertains to actually buying something from him. The minute however you say anything about the prices or his service he will snap. Crazy, rude, and arrogant if you ask me. Don't go here and find yourself a better business to give your money to. read more

I love this place and drive past 3 liquor stores on my way here to spend my money with Raja. Great prices on wine for an independent liquor store and a great selection to boot.. Ditto IPAs. Bonus points for an operational humidor for the cigars rather than the glass case that LOOKS like a humidor that other places use. read more

I love a place that remembers it's regulars. My FIL loves coming in here to buy some beer and have a quick chat with Raj. They have a decent collection on micro brews and beers that are brewed and sold individually in large bottles (Ya know the kinds - like delirium tremens - etc). Convenient off East Ave. read more

This is the best liquor store in the area. Got to love a place that remembers their customers by name. Always get greeted by Raja himself. Great prices. And if you don't see what you want, just ask Raj, and he will get it for you. read more

Raja's Liquors - Raja's Liquors - Beer, Wine & Spirits Near Me - Livermore, California

Raj is the man! He always has everything I need and has a very clean and organized store.

No stars. WORST LIQUOR STORE EVER!!! Who puts two heavy bottles of wine in a double bag that is still as weak as a single bag? Came home with my purchase and sure enough, a bottle falls through like knife to butter, glass and wine goes everywhere, cutting me and soaking me with Rose wine in which Is not a great situation. I call the liquor store and the man who answered decided since he's been doing this for 30 years and knows how to bag... and that he'd go half way after I just spent $16 on the bottle. Why would I spend more for a bottle that broke due to the lack of brain power to properly bag a bottle. So irritated especially since I've given so much business to this place that you'd think they would just replace the bottle and not ask me to spend more money for a dang bottle of wine. Horrible service and no longer is my choice place to buy wine. Beware and make sure he triple bags your wine. read more

Raja's Liquors - a bottle of liquor wrapped in plastic - Beer, Wine & Spirits Near Me - Livermore, California

Raja is a awesome guy he gives my sons free candy and always knows his customers if they have come in before if not he meets them and always start a conversation with them. This store should get 5 stars easily. read more

This is the best liquor store in the Bay. Come experience it yourself. If they don't have it, they'll get it. Love doing business here. read more

Family owned business. Very friendly and great prices for a liquor store. They have a great selection that they keep refrigerated at all times. In addition, they carry basic items like coffee creamer at a decent price if you need to pick up something close to home. read more

I would certainly not go here if you're a woman. The store owner won't even look you in the eye, so if you want to feel degraded as a person feel free. I've been shopping here for six months and I finally had to say something. There are plenty of Indian men who don't treat you like dirt. read more

I am a regular of most businesses in this shopping center, as it is near my place of work and my daughter's dance school. Raja's has a solid selection of beer (better than the nearby convenience store) at a reasonable price. Like other businesses in the area, they are independent and locally owned. Unlike a grocery store with a similar selecting, Raja's has short-term parking up front, allowing for a quick in and out. read more

Great place. Owner's a nice guy. Put aside some Pliny for us when I told him we were on the way to pick some up. Bravo!

I was looking for cigar stores in Livermore and read a few reviews about the local places that carry them. One review had a list of nice qualities about Raja's: (1) The business is family-run. (2) Raj and his family address all the regulars by first name. They memorized my name off my card on the 2nd visit and they've used it every time since. (3) The store does not sell porn. (4) Partly as a consequence of (1), (2) and (3), the store is always full of friendly banter. Armed with these requirements, I thought I would give them a try. I'm writing this review to let everyone know that all of the qualities listed above are true. I was nicely surprised when he returned my card and thanked me by my first name. I will be going back for sure. Nice job, Raj! read more

Staff was fairly friendly but their prices on certain bourbons was extremely inflated, even higher than secondary prices. Definitely shop around if you're not in a hurry to buy. read more

I don't care if you know my first name or not, getting refused service for pointing out a 45% price increase on a bottle of Pliny in a months time is out of line is ridiculous. $9/bottle! I would advise anyone to take a 10 minute drive to Dublin/San Ramon/Walnut Creek to the number of other stores that charge $6. I have never been treated so poorly at a store in my life. A good business plan would be to not rip off customers on one specific bottle, they may decide to never spend their money at your shop again. Instead charge a reasonable price for the main thing that draws people into your store and encourage them to buy other products as well. You lost more than one customer with this transaction. Cheers Raj! read more

This is a awesome store. Every time I go in the owner is very polite to me and always says hello. Has great prices on alcohol and cigars. Wouldn't go anywhere else. read more

Raja liquors is the only liquor store I go to in Livermore. The owner is awesome and provides great customer service.

Run by a wonderful family that loves to learn names and takes an interest in their customers. A real treasure in Livermore. Thanks, Raj!

My favorite liquor/wine store. Good selection that is priced fairly. Raj will get it for you if it is available. AND when I asked about a special order he told me his price would be much higher than Safeway because of volume with that distributor. Not since the movie "Miracle on 34th street" have I seen a retailer recommend buying at another location. A great local merchant. read more

This is a awesome store. I will drive out of my way to go here. Service is amazing vary nice family running it. I wouldn't go any where else. I strongly recommend Raja's Liquors to all my family and friends and to all of you. read more
