An appt where he told me I should "stop looking things up on the internet" after I referenced the medical conditions my family members have and describing my symptoms. The fact that I REQUESTED to change providers, had me "fired" as a patient before Dr. Nayyar even saw me or spoke to me. Veena Patel is a cold hearted robot it seems, that sits at her desk, types, doesn't look at you nor listens to you, then orders tests or exams. She then has you wait a month to come back just to get a result, type some more, and order another test. All the while, she never ordered the records for my surgery, writes incorrect notes, and fails to document the chief complaints. This is after making you wait 2 hours. When I complained that it seemed she doesn't care to listen to what I say, and doesn't have the correct information noted, and that I've had to repeat myself, she said I am dramatic, that she doesn't need to be emotional and sit and cry with me. She told me to find a Dr. that's emotional. That her job is to document (which even that she does poorly). She Gave me my records and told me to find a different Dr. I don't know how she calls herself a Dr. Not even a veterinarian treats animals like this. When I read the records she said she had performed many examinations falsely. I don't know how she is in practice. She's a disgrace to all Dr's who actually love and do their job. This speciality is dealing with the brain and clearly hers needs some help along with her cold heart. Please do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Scary to know there's physicians like her out there just billing insurance and not really doing their job. Oh and to top it all off, the place is completely filthy. It looks like they never have it cleaned. So unethical. She has been reported.

I don't even know how to put into words the level of disappointment in the lack of care I received…read morefrom this facility. I was so excited to make an appt here based on the reviews. The high desert isn't known for the best medical providers so I felt strongly this was the best place to get assessed for my sudden and intense neurological issues. I had called to make an appt with Dr. Nayyar and was told she was booked several months out. So I asked if there were any other providers who had an appt sooner. To my luck, they had a cancellation appt available with Dr. Zhang that following week. I went to the appt and immediately explained not only my current symptoms but my family history (which is unfortunately extensive) with connective tissue disorders, autoimmune disorders and Parkinson's. Within 3 mins of this appt starting, Dr. Zhang asked me "where did you learn these medical terms?" Which took me by surprise as I hadn't said anything that could be considered "medical jargon," I was simply using the medical names of my families' conditions. He then proceeded to accuse me of "googling issues" and said (and I quote) "You really need to stop looking stuff up on the internet. It sounds like you are just making yourself anxious." To which I responded, "I find that very dismissive doctor, I'm not simply googling things, I'm giving you the names of the conditions my family has and my current symptoms to help you understand my reason for the appt." This all happened before he had even evaluated me. Once I was actually physically evaluated, Dr. Zhang conceded that I did have a tremor and weakness that warranted both an MRI and nerve study. As I checked out of the appt and booked my follow ups, I mentioned to the front desk that I didn't feel happy with Dr. Zhang as he was dismissive of my concerns and would prefer to have follow ups with Dr. Nayyar, if possible. She said I should schedule my appts with Dr. Zhang so I have something on the books and that they would put a message in to Dr. Nayyar letting her know I would like to switch providers if possible. Two weeks later I got 3 emails saying all my future appts had been cancelled. Including my nerve study tests and follow up. There were no appts scheduled with Dr. Nayyar either. So I called the office asking for clarity and was told Dr. Nayyar got the message that I was unhappy with Dr. Zhang and they will no longer treat me at their office at all. All my appts were cancelled without warning and a letter would be sent by mail. I was not allowed to discuss it with any provider - just told to go elsewhere, while my MRI was already booked in a few days. I'm beside myself. I now have to start from scratch and likely go out of area, because I spoke up about feeling demeaned during my visit. This isn't how mature and professional providers treat their patients. I'm appalled and feel other patients should be aware of this unethical behavior.

Follow up from previous review…read more I received a letter stating I had been approved for 1 round of Botox for migraines. The letter came 12/14/24. This is not okay! I guess they read all my reviews because it is 12/21/24 and the office has never called me saying my shots were approved. Approximately 10-11 weeks for an approval. What world is this okay? He dismisses concerns, ignores lab results and test reports from other doctors, and seems more focused on doing the bare minimum than actually helping his patients. Instead of considering all available information, he makes his own rushed assessments--likely to justify brushing you off and avoiding extra work. If you or a loved one need thorough and compassionate neurological care, I strongly recommend finding a doctor who still has passion for their practice.

Patel I now realize after I got my blood drawn and received the results she didn't listen to a word I said and put in an incorrect order for the labs I requested. I called their office 17 times to attempt to get the correct labs put in or another appointment but they declined all of my calls so I had my mother call and put me on a 3-way phone call and of course they answered her number first try but still couldn't do anything to help me. I had to find an urgent care physician to help me get a second blood draw appointment for the panels that I needed and complete the physical that Patel denied to do for me and therefore had to pay out of pocket for what Dr. B. Patel was supposed to do. I am switching doctors immediately and reporting Dr. Bhairavi D. Patel to the board of medicine and I suggest anyone who had the unfortunate luck of getting either of the Patels as their primary care physician to do the same.
