She was pushy to refer me to a dietician (I had had one for 3 years) who would show me insulin pumps as NP wanted me to get on one soon. She said she had only 3-4 patients Type 1 who did not have a pump. I asked what kind of glucose levels they had and she just said "high". Second visit she had a student who just reinforced everything she said to me, even if I challenged it. Next appt. (after 3 months) after 5 reminders of appt. they called tro change my appt. to earlier in the day of to have a shorter appt. as NP was leaving early to get married and would be gone 3 weeks for honeymoon. I asked if I could see Dr. Lippes as she was gone and practice gave me an appt. in 7 weeks stating he was not taking new patients. I took the appt. as was a way to see the doctor I originally had selected to see but was bluntly told "never can".

I am surprised that a previous reviewer feels Dr. Law was not using best-practice medicine. I have always been pleased by the depth of thought and breadth of information-gathering shown by Dr. Law and the NP's. I have had much more intensive lab work there than anywhere else I have been a patient. When I had a tick-borne illness, the nurse practitioner worked with me to ensure I was feeling better as soon as possible. My interactions with other staff have been positive. I have always been able to secure a same-day appointment when I needed one. I have never had any problems when having blood drawn. I have been able to contact the office by phone or email and my questions were answered quickly. I have seen other MD's in town who like to assure me that I am fine, rather than addressing actual issues. This will never happen at IthacaMed. I feel listened to, and Dr. Law and his staff are advocates for my health.

After getting my records for the new Endo, she was untruthful. I hope current clients educate themselves and find someone to better care for them as they cannot see the Dr. after your initial visit.

The wait time to see anyone is ridiculous. At least an hour. Getting them of the phone is also extremely difficult. I have now been on hold for 13 minutes. They sent me a bill nearly a year later and the due date was the next day. They wanted me to pay the next day, a $200 bill, when it took them a year to bill me. Expensive visit to see the doctor for approximately 10 minutes. Unprofessional staff as well.

Ms. Lee figured out that I had Latent Autoimmune Diabetes Adult (essentially Type-I that develops after age 40). The staff at the center are friendly and helpful. Ms. Lee, in conjunction with the staff, developed a treatment plan that is working really well for me. I am able to continue scuba diving and all other activities. The educator, dietician, and other staff are most helpful.
