Finally made it inside of Raising Canes located on 12th Street in Philadelphia, Temple University Campus. Parking can be impossible but just pay to park in the lot on Cecil B. More like I did. I ordered the 3 piece Tenders and fries meal. Service was prompt, staff were friendly, the store was super clean but the chicken; No Ma'am!!! Never again!!! It was soggy and skin falling off on parts. I didn't it the bread because I legit didn't understand why it was even in the box and the Cane sauce is just gross. I asked for honey mustard and was charged additional because Cane sauce comes with the meal. I asked the cashier, what if you don't care for the Cane Sauce? Anyways if you are a late bloomer like myself and have made it into the infamous Raising Canes yet, take your time, u aren't missing anything but a bunch of hype.

I finally got to try this chicken. I wanted to see what all of the hype was about. Parking: street. it's on the campus of Temple University. Good luck parking on 12 street. I parked illegally to try this chicken. Atmosphere: bright and loud. Service: The wait time was pretty long. They only had one person taking the orders, one person filling the orders, and one person making Texas toast. I can't believe it!!! For a place that's so busy, they need to do better with that. I ordered the chicken strip combo which was chicken strips. Fries, coleslaw and a drink. my chicken was fresh. You could tell it was cooked in fresh grease. It was crunchy but lacked flavor. The french fries were good as well as the Texas toast. The coleslaw was good. They even had red cabbage in it, which I like. Overall. The chicken didn't speak to me or my taste buds. And I would not risk getting a ticket to go back.

Workers are kind here. The fast food is fast fabulous! Consistent, large portions, and tasty. Lots of table options and comfortable seats.

Ok, I'll start with saying the service was super professional and everyone was nice and easy going. I'll follow with saying the inside was bright and vibrant and pretty clean. Next I'll say that the Texas toast is the star hands down, perfectly toasted with the right amount of butter and flavor bursting thru. With that being said, everything else is overrated and type mid. Not nasty by any means, but had my son not been begging to try it due to the social media trends, I would've been fine passing on this grease bomb. The chicken strips didn't leave much to desire flavor wise but were fresh out the fryer so that's a good thing. The fries needed salt but again they were hot and fresh so that's a semi plus as well. The cane sauce is nothing but ketchup and mayo with pepper. And the Cole slaw looks ways better than it tastes. So ultimately, the service and environment made this visit most worth while. The food was nothing out of the ordinary. If I was in the neighborhood I'd revisit for my kids and would probably pass since I have adult taste buds.

It's really hard for me personally to dislike fried chicken. So when I heard Raising Cane's was opening in Philly, I had to get on the Yelp RSVP list. I am glad I got in because the service was super quick and friendly, fries were fresh and perfectly salted, sandwich tasted great but could have used a little more sauce/mayo! Seating space inside and outside was clean and condiment area was well stocked and clean. Great addition to the temple campus!

I was pleasantly surprised visiting Canes for the first time! First the restaurant was very clean and second the staff was extremely friendly! Some say the chicken is bland but it's chain chicken what do you expect? The tenders I had tasted fresh and the chicken was very moist and tender. Fries and came sauce was 10/10. I would have given 5 stars but I didn't think the sweet tea was sweet enough but I was able to switch a grab a fountain coke. Def recommend:)

I drove from Toronto to Philadelphia to see if Raising Cane's lives up to the hype. They seem to be well known for the sauce, but I wasn't a fan of it. The chicken fingers were okay, but I wouldn't say they were memorable for me. The coleslaw was creamy, so I enjoyed that, and I also liked the Texas toast. The ice for your drinks are little pebbles, which I loved. Portion sizes were good for me.

Came for an event, the staff were very attentive and friendly making sure everyone had all that they needed, continuously walking around to make sure all customers were taken care of. I ended up getting a tenders and fries, which were super tasty. I wish they had another location in Center City, but worth the trip to Temple's campus. The location has a lot of cool memorabilia about Philly as well as disco balls hanging so I think it was a cool mix of old and new! Would definitely recommend for a quick lunch or dinner stop.

So when my wife said she wanted a little something while we wandered through a heatwave in Philadelphia, I thought this would be a safe harbor. It was not. We ordered cheese fries and a banana pudding milkshake. The fries arrived looking as if they had been cooked last Tuesday and kept under a damp towel since. The cheese was cold and had formed a sort of yellow skin. It reminded me of school cafeteria food, but with better marketing. The shake was okay. The banana flavor was nice enough. But the Vanilla Wafer Cookie Crumble inside was too ambitious for a straw. Every third sip turned into a game of suction-based roulette. You could pay fifty cents extra for rainbow sprinkles to support GLAAD. That was a good idea I could get behind. The execution, like the fries, was half-hearted. It felt more like an upsell than a cause. The worst part was the store itself. We had planned to sit inside for a few minutes. Restore our core temperatures to something in the double-digits. Regain a little hope. But the tables looked like they had not been cleaned since lunchtime and the floor was trying to become one with the food. We took our sad little snack and walked back to the hotel. Two stars. One for the idea of Shake Shack. One for the milkshake trying its best. That is all.

I've seen the chicken and waffles on their menu many times and was always hesitant on ordering it only because I didn't want to feel disappointment and possible regret for not ordering one of their well-known, delicious options of chicken sandwich (the Sando) or chicken fingers. I don't know why I was so afraid to order it other than thinking the waffle wouldn't be that good, but I was so very wrong. Their chicken and waffles are great! Let's start with the chicken... fried to perfection and slightly lathered in your choice of mild to spicy sauce, these chicken tenders are simply amazing... and huge. Bite into a chicken tender and juices shoot out of it. That's how juicy they are. The waffle (divided into quarters) was so good. Lightly crisped and dusted with powdered sugar on the outside and a beautiful soft texture inside, this is a great waffle. You get syrup for the waffle and your choice of sauce for the chicken. All for $12.95. So good! Other options include a Korean chicken nugget combo that includes steamed white rice and fries, chicken wraps, and wings. Service is pretty quick. I ordered to go ("ASAP - 10 mins") and the order was ready in 14, but please don't fault them for this. Once you taste the chicken, you will forgive them for any tardiness.

The Love is better. The space is beautiful, the service is consistently warm, and Stephen Starr's fingerprints are all over it. I love the painted white brick, the floral artwork along the walls, the street-level energy, and the outdoor seating. I also remember taking the elevator upstairs once. I can't remember whether we actually stayed and ate up there or asked to move back downstairs, but the space was charming and extremely private. It would be a great setting for a group dinner or event. Personally, I prefer downstairs. It's darker, livelier, and I like being at street level. The menu historically leaned more heavily into elevated Southern comfort food, which has never been my favorite style of cooking. That's probably why I've tended to prefer The Love for lunch over dinner, especially when Philadelphia has so many Starr restaurants competing for the same night out. I used to get what I remember as a salmon and farro bowl, although the menu appears to have evolved since then. Whatever the exact iteration was, I loved it. Fish and farro are both right in my wheelhouse. I've also enjoyed the kale salad and other lighter dishes. The thing I remember most vividly, though, is the cornbread. It is outrageously good and reason enough to order something for the table. I also give Starr credit for continuing to broaden the range of food styles in his portfolio. Once you've built restaurants across Italian, French, Mexican, English, steakhouses, seafood, and the rest, there are only so many obvious boxes left to check. The Love feels like its own lane: distinctly American, approachable, comfort-driven, and still polished enough to feel like a Starr restaurant. Looking at the menu now, it seems broader than I remember, with more options that appeal to me, and I'd be psyched to go back. The Love probably isn't the first Starr restaurant I'd choose purely based on cuisine, but that says more about the depth of his Philadelphia portfolio than it does about this restaurant. The room, hospitality, location, and execution are all excellent. I'd happily come here any day. Starr doesn't miss.

They lacked flavor and tasted like plain boiled chicken placed on a tortilla, which was disappointing. We also ordered the Tres Salsa and chips. Out of the three salsas, the green and red were the standouts and packed the most flavor. For drinks, we ordered margaritas on the rocks ($5, plus $2 additional for flavor). I tried mango and passion fruit -- the mango tasted more like orange juice, while the passion fruit maintained its flavor much better. If you're looking for a family-friendly indoor/outdoor spot, this is a great option. I noticed a good mix of couples and singles, which made for a nice atmosphere.
