Chris was my contact and he was super responsive to my emails and answered all the questions that I had. I only checked prices with two other competitors, but Seattle Bubble Soccer definitely had the best prices for amount of play time/number of bubbles. I was planning a party so I did their packaged deal #1, which is one hour of play with 6 bubbles. You can also add bubbles for $25 each. During the winter months, you must play indoors and book an indoor venue, which I thought would be a headache, but Chris does an amazing job of getting you connected to a facility and checking their availability. Basically all you have to do is call the facility to make a payment. The packaged deal does NOT include the fee for the venue rental. I rented from Montlake Community Center--would recommend--and used their basketball courts as the field. Trust me... I don't know if you want anything bigger than that even if you have 10 people. It can get real exhausting, real fast. The hour was broken up into quarters of about 15 minutes of play. During the breaks, the bubbles were reinflated and wiped down. I won't lie--I got real sweaty in there. The bubbles can get real hot, especially with all the exertion of carrying around the bubble weight and trying to knock other people down/me getting knocked down and trying to get back up. I might suggest knee pads because I got quite a few bruises trying to get up. My only other thing I would bring up is my neck is really sore from playing, not sure why but I guess I shouldn't have skipped neck day. I would definitely recommend bubble soccer as a birthday activity, team builder, or if you're just bored and looking to do something different and I would definitely recommend booking through Seattle Bubble Soccer!

He is incredibly quick to respond to inquiries and helpful with setting up logistics. He was super flexible with weather- he was willing to keep the event on as planned despite earlier rain. His helpers ('refs') ran the whole party and had the boys sweating, laughing, and rolling around for an hour and a half. Well worth it.

On-site activities were fun and the counselors consistently jovial. One of my favorite parts of the program was field trip days. We would walk somewhere and spend some time there. The walking component made sure we did not adventure too far and kept us kids active. Sometimes we would go to Yost Pool and swim, sometimes we would walk to the McDonald's on Edmonds Way, and one time we even went to a nearby brewery and got to craft our own Root Beer. It was a fun place to spend time during the summer when I was a child.

Great space for meetings and events on the Microsoft campus…read more I've been here for a few events, and have enjoyed my time here. It's modern, clean and well-lit. There are multiple rooms for different meetings and such, and there is catering in-house. They also have their famous fridge, stocked with free beverages, from sparkling water to pop. Take advantage! Some minor issues are that parking around here gets super crazy packed. It's not worth the hassle, trying to find a parking spot, especially when multiple events and meetings are happening here. I would recommend coordinating with the free shuttle service, that Microsoft offers when hosting events here. It's super convenient. It's also cool that the staff just orders a shuttle or car for whenever someone needs it; it's not on a particular schedule. The only other minor issue is that during meal times, the center of where all the meetings rooms are gets super packed since it's basically a hallway space. It's hard for people to get through when they need to cross the other side of the hall/where the restroom is. Keep that in mind if securing an event here. Other than that, the Microsoft Conference Center offers many great amenities, open to the public for use, and hosts a lot of informative community events.

The newly renovated Dakota Place Park Building in West Seattle is a great new venue run by the City of Seatte which can accommodate up to 200 people. It's former City Light substation, located within walking distance of California Junction, a popular neighborhood with lots of shops and restaurants. The building retains some of the old brick architecture, but has lots of modern amenities such as a full A/V system with video projector and built in sound system, a catering kitchen with icemaker, and comfortable tables and chairs. The best part of this venue is the adjoining outdoor patio, which would be great spillover for guests during the summer when weather is nice. Venue rental includes one staff member, who will stay throughout the event and help coordiante cleanup. We reserved the Dakota Place Park building for our Dad's 90th birthday party. It worked perfectly…read morefor our group of 100. They have a great setup with tables that roll into place and then lock. We only set up tables for 50 and left 1/3 of the room for people to stand and mill about looking at memorabilia. They have an AV system that we used to show a video of the birthday boy's life. The AV on the east wall didn't work, but the AV on the north wall did. They have screens for both. The venue is open every Saturday morning to go and look and plan for your event. We recommend using that time in the weeks leading up to the event. We rented the building from 1-6 and our event was 2-5. That left very little time to get all the tables and chairs set up, catering to arrive, set up the AV, etc. If you plan well, as we did, you can do it, but we had to develop a good plan on the Saturday morning strategy sessions. Also, be sure to test your video a few times on the Saturday mornings. That's how we found out, on the day of the event, that the HDMI doesn't work on the east wall. Some thoughts: bring your own hangers if guests will be arriving with coats, they only have about 10, but they do have a nice portable coat rack. We put signs on the steps off Dakota directing people to use the west entrance, which is handicapped accessible. It worked well to only use one door. Parking is problematic, as there are only about 3 spots, but no one complained. The Parks Department staff are very helpful, but they're not AV experts, and we didn't expect them to be. You have to figure out the video system mostly on your own. We chose not to use the wireless microphone (provided) because we were sure everyone could hear us. However, once we got 100 people in there absorbing sound and making noise, we wish we had. All in all, it was super. Hopefully they get the HDMI fixed on the east wall. We had to change our seating plan at the last minute once we found out it was not working (the video played, but kept pausing inexplicably). (Oh, and you have to call and bug them after 10 days to get your deposit back...they don't seem to have any sort of system in place to process the refund, but after a couple of calls we got ours back no problem). Great venue. Great staff. Plan Ahead!

I had never really explored Pioneer Square before, so I really liked that part. The tour included a stop at the Klondike Gold Rush Museum (the only indoor national park) as well as, of course, Pike Place Market. We got OUR pictures taken several times by Japanese tourists, so that was random. Unfortunately, this was super expensive, even with the two Groupons, so I don't know how much I'd recommend it per se, but if you feel like splurging (or your visiting family members do) definitely go for it.
