Well, Avalilly's is an adorable boutique in Cornelius and provides me with this same thrill through their unique concept. To quote from their website "Avalilly's brings in excess inventory and fashion overstock from the nation's top women's boutiques to the Cornelius store and offers this highly sought-after designer clothing at great prices." Rawr-some. It's not a big space, but you can certainly score designer duds for less here. Don't expect giant discounts (unless you're shopping their sale section)...look forward to more like 10-25% off typical boutique prices. Again, these duds are still brand new and many in season. The inventory changes often as does the selection of different items in varying sizes. Brand wise, I spied items from Three Dots, Trina Turk, Citizens of Humanity, J Brand, Michael Stars and more. There's also a well put together accessory collection including gorgeous bags, jewelery and belts. If you're in the Cornelius area, definitely drop by Avalillys - the selection may be just what you're looking for and the girls who work here are just as sweet as can be.

It's multi-storied (2 & 1/2 - 3 perhaps?) with stairs going in different directions. You can get quite a workout walking around. They have a little bit of everything, from furniture to clothes, from knickknacks to costume jewelry, etc. The prices seemed to be a bit high to me, but that might be par for the area. I did find some really nice shirts for my adult kids at decent prices. The place appeared pretty clean for me, so I don't know where the comments on it being dirty are coming from. It is a thrift shop that sells used items, so I would never expect it to be brand new clean, all spic & span. The workers were pleasant to deal with.

When we entered we were greeted by Marjorie. She asked if this was our first time in. I mentioned it was my first time. Marjorie went on what they were all about and how there specials worked. Specific days had specific color and shapes for certain deals. The day of our visit, anything with blue or green or with square or rectangles were 50% off! I bought some items and when I went to the counter to pay the clerk gave me the price I said aloud really? I expected it to be more because the apron I purchased for my granddaughter was pink. She said it is but the shape of the pocket is rectangle! So they try hard to find anything that will help you save even more on your purchases! This store is a pretty good size. It is well organized and sectioned off in themes. You can find furniture, wedding dresses, jewelry, books etc.. The staff is very friendly and makes sure to let you know they are there if needed. This place is a nonprofit organization that reaches out to widows, widowers and kids. They hold meal events for this specific groups. What a wonderful mission/cause to support. I bought a few things and managed to squeeze it into my luggage. Wish I could have room for a couple of furniture items. Anyway I really love this place and what their purpose stands for. If ever visiting my friend in this area again, I will be back!
