I was referred to Ms. Rebecca and her team having no previous knowledge of who she was. I had $10k saved up knowing that any legal battle with good representation is not cheap. Keep in mind that she has a team whom she delegates tasks such as her paralegal Karen who is very prompt and understanding. She also has team members to schedule her appointments and for billing. Rebecca's job is to know the law to represent you in court. Not to be your therapist or to soothe and solve all your problems. I learned quickly that you do not want to hear from Rebecca as her time is money. She is very busy representing several matters, however her paralegal was always responsive to any of my questions or concerns. They run the majority of their communication through the Clio app, my suggestion is to do your part and communicate solely through there unless emailed by them. This helps both you and them to keep everyone accountable and organized. Another suggestion: Do your homework on what you want. Have key points that can be communicated in 5 minutes or less. Again, time is money. If you feel you are a mess and need constant reassurance; seek out a therapist or support group (I have a therapist). Every outreach to any lawyer and their team costs them money. When it came to court, Rebecca presented herself with so much poise and intelligence. She had a strategy that was fair and honest but still aggressive and to the point. I watched for hours the day of my court hearing how other attorneys represented themselves and how poorly their clients' outcome was as a result. I was extremely grateful to have had a professional that was put together. In the end, I got what I wanted. I had to give a little more in court than what I really wanted too but that was because of the judge and the opposing party. For now, my child and I are adapting to this new change and hoping all goes well. If not, I am prepared and confident to have to go back to court with representation by Rebecca and her team. I had the privilege of working with attorney Rebecca Rainwater and I've never been more happy with the results she got my daughter in her custody case of my twin granddaughters. She was so quick to respond and texted me for a few hours on a Sunday before I even paid her anything. I appreciate her with all my heart! It was a very serious custody case and she was so kind and worked so fast and hard on it and in the end my granddaughters were returned to my daughter and she ended up with sole physical custody! Rebecca Rainwater accepted this case for a child support dispute on July 27th. In the beginning, during the consulting interview, it appeared she was knowledgable and technically proficient in the performance of her duties. On August 13th, she stated she she would NOT be able to continue because there was a conflict of interest of which she had become recently aware and had represented the opposing client 2 years ago when she worked for the opposing law firm. Why did it take more than two weeks before realizing there was a conflict of interest issue? Competent attorneys conduct thorough conflict of interest checks even before providing free consultations!!! Unfortunately, the first red flag I dismissed were the disparaging and unflattering remarks she stated about the opposing attorney with whom she previously worked with representing opposing council. Instead of apologizing and initiating a full refund, she charged and accepted 1650 dollars for work that should have NEVER been started. Rebecca deflected her actions and took NO responsibility for her incompetent and unprofessional conduct. Rebecca Rainwater is unethical, greedy, sloppy, and extremely unprofessional. Her lack of attention to detail, follow through and unprofessional conduct is appalling and does not promote a positive impression of the profession. read more
