I would highly not recommend this law firm. They mishandled my case, it took 15 months to get my spousal and child support. It was the very first thing I asked for from my divorce. Being sued and taken to Court in a divorce sucks! It is stressful, expensive and confusing. With that being said, having a good, ethical law firm is super important if you end up in this situation. In response to the owner, Diane Singleton's comment on my real experience & review... Gaslighting at its worst. Please don't patronize me trying to claim you have no record of docs being filed late or record of unanswered courtesy emails. I have no reason to fabricate this- it was a whole ordeal and I have the proof of the original emails as well as the ones acknowledging the mis-step by your team. The amount of turn over internally over a 5 month period is extremely unusual based on other experiences. Thank God I was finally assigned to a competent paralegal in the 11th hour- Ashley is a gem and I would guess is why you may have any 5 star reviews. Additionally, all communication was always sent as a CC to the paralegals (multiple) as well as the attorney, at his personal request. It's unfortunate you make so many false statements- it doesn't look good on a firm that should just be transparent instead of defensive. Don't twist my words. The communication lacked at times, and as I stated, even a filing was missed and I called out the paralegal on this. After she double checked with the attorneys, she admitted I was correct and she missed it, so that had to be taken care of. The over-charging for communication is when each paralegal took on the case and I had to repeat everything that had already been communicated previously a few times. It was also when certain actions were suggested that had already been completed/filed. The first two paralegals admitted to me that they had not read my whole case. Accepting responsibility for a grossly mis-managed case would be a better route for a firm instead of making false claims and trying to claim all was well. I communicated my issues by phone convo to my 3rd paralegal as well as documented much of this to your courtesy check in, which, like I said was initially ignored or missed, until I emailed again 3 weeks later. The checks and balances with this firm might be suffering as a result of the high attrition. They may have some 5-star reviews, but that is not reflective of how my case was handled, period. I wanted to love this firm that came recommended to me, but instead, it created stress and my experience most of the time was a disaster. What would have been the point to tell your firm again what my experience was when none of the items were answered or corrected from the courtesy emails I responded to? I understand the findings and order took 2 months for a response to the court, and yes, that was communicated to me - only after I inquired. However, it took a month for the firm to submit it and an additional month for them to communicate results to me. To the public- take note. This firm wants to be right instead of listening to their clients' real experiences. I have no reason to blast them other than just wanting to inform & warn others of my experience so they can make an informed decision. Hopefully their high turn-over has resulted in better hiring and a more positive experience for others. read more

They suggested an attorney that was not a good fit for me. I requested to meet with another attorney and I was denied. The attorney who they recommended was a recent transfer from Texas and he repeatedly complained about the front desk receptionists note taking. He also complained about the terminology that is used in the California courts vs the Texas courts. He seemed very frustrated and incapable of being able to function in his surroundings. I needed services with executing a judgment from a ex spouse. Professional, Courteous and Reliable.

Ulea Sargis defended me against a bogus restraining order filed by a neighbor. I found Ulea just 24 hours prior to my court date and she really put me at ease by helping me to understand what to expect once we were in court. I gave her everything I could as to the background of my situation including pictures to help with my case and we worked brilliantly together once it was our turn to speak to the judge. The other side never knew what hit her and she was totally un-prepared! The entire court watched her hang herself with her own testimony and her request for a permanent restraining order against me was DENIED by the judge. Ulea also explained that since I won in court I was entitled to have the losing party pay for all of my Attorney and court fees. Bingo! This firm was hired to defend me in a simple divorce and child custody battle. The quality of their work was appalling. I had to fire the first attorney I used there after the first hearing because he was so poorly prepared to defend me. The second attorney quit and left the firm in the heat of the battle, and every time I spoke with him, I had to remind him about what was going on in my case. I was satisfied with the third attorney's performance. However, when I started to complain that their billings were too high and to explain why they were charging me so much, they quit on me two weeks before my most crucial hearing. They claimed I was unhappy with their service, which was not valid. I was dissatisfied with their overbilling. They took me for about $40,000, dumped me when I needed them the most and never finished getting me a divorce decree. read more

Contacted Attorney Joshua Pincus to hire their services on 9/11/2023. Explained opposing party had filed on 8/16/2023, but didn't serve us until 9/10/2023. He said it was urgent to get a response done and prepare for mediation. I said we wanted quote for both response and representation in court, and a quote for just representation in court. Quoted us $5,500 for both response and representation, and said he would get a quote for just representation the next day because it was after hours. Attorney Pincus then asked us to email all the court related docs so he could go over it. I email the docs the next day and ask questions. Don't hear back. Emailed more docs and ask when is he going to respond. No response at all. I email Attorney Pincus again and tell him won't be hiring him, horrible customer service. Still no response. I call their office on the 15th and tell them I'm getting no response from Attorney Pincus and want to talk to another lawyer and that we were losing time to respond to opposing party. The award winning law office of Singleton Smith tells me to call back Monday, 9/18/2023, now losing another week for a matter Attorney Pincus said was urgent to get on. I call on Monday and get the round around. Then I get email from the great Diane Singleton-Smith herself, stating, "In a nutshell, we dont think we can acheive your goal and unlike other attorneys, we don't accept money or cases where we have concerns at the onset." What top rated law firm is unable to achieve a goal and are scared because they have concerns at the onset?
