Had PM service done on A/C. My girlfriend was told the capacitor was dead and refrigerant, R410a…read morewas no longer approved by the EPA. Tech Alex claimed they aren't able to replace the refrigerant anymore. Said the unit was too old to be serviced and that the blower in the attic was corroded and needed to be replaced. Performed none of the required maintenance and gave her a quote for a new unit. $18,000. Keep in mind I do maintenance for a living, so I know a few basic things. I got home and looked up the refrigerant and it says you can still use R410a refrigerant, but new units can't be made using it. Lie #1 I opened the unit and did some voltage measurements to find no voltage coming in to the contactor. I checked the breaker. Was fine. Opened the Disconnect box and noticed the red service handle was set to OFF. I pulled it out, flipped it to ON and sure enough, the unit began working as if nothing happened. If the capacitor was bad, it wouldn't have come on. Lie #2 I opened the case on the condenser to find it had not been cleaned at all. I cleaned it. Vacuumed all the leaves and sprayed the coils off with a garden hose. I've heard this company has changed owners recently. Obviously, they don't have the customer's best interests in mind. I am pissed.

Really pleased with Aqua Science!!!…read more We had really disgusting foul water. High iron, hydrogen sulfide (rotten egg odor), hardness and high ph. We'd turn on the tap sometimes to see root beer colored water come out. Like out of a horror movie. My regular water guy wouldn't call me back for a week and when he did quoted me an insane quote. I called aqua science and they analyzed my water sample and were super helpful. They corrected all of the issues and came and installed the needed equipment 4 days later. They added a filter and replaced all of my old inefficient equipment and were $800 cheaper than just 1 filter from my old guy. A whole brand new system made to treat my specific problem. I just took a shower in clean, non smelling, non rusty water and I'm so thrilled. I'd recommend them to anybody. Awesome service, great value. Thank you for helping us 2 days before Christmas!!!

I can't compliment this company more! I called Joe on a Sunday night explaining that my water…read moreheater was broken. He helped guide me into pros and cons of the heater options and cost. I told him what we wanted and he had Mike and another guy there THE NEXT morning!! The men were friendly and even took the time to wipe up any footprints they made before they left! Two weeks later, our heater shut off (not related to them it turned out to be leaking from rainstorm and a little got to the heater and tripped the anti-flood system.) Called Joe at 6:30am and Mike and the other guy were there around 9:30 to check it out and thoroughly checked all possibilities. They even saw the potential spot that water was coming in on chimney and put a little bit of sealant on it to see if that helps. I will recommend Feula Plumbing & Heating to EVERYONE who needs those services!! Joe is readily available and explains everything and Mike and man (I wish I knew his name) are FANTASTIC!

My review pertains to the plumbing supply counter, not the showroom. As a plumbing professional, I…read morehave to say that they are a pretty good plumbing supply company, stocking a wide variety of pipe, valves, fittings and materials to deal with both new and old plumbing. Unlike some other area plumbing suppliers, Ardente has rarely run out of commonly-used supplies. My biggest complaint is their small parking lot (I've been blocked in before), and the fact you have to literally drive around the block to get to their warehouse loading dock to pick up larger items like water heaters or toilets. Also, I don't like the brand of PVC fittings they sell (Genova); I have had problems when gluing them, as it seems like they are out of tolerance and fit too tightly over the pipe. When I started my career, several old-timers worked the service counter. Nowadays, they have younger guys behind the counter, who provide decent service for the most part. I have had a younger guy in the warehouse give me an attitude, though, when I asked for help loading an item in my truck.
