This was our first time here. The service was good and the place was fairly empty, which made for a relaxed atmosphere. Unfortunately, the food did not meet expectations. We ordered the crab special, and I chose the Asian spice seasoning, it was extremely salty and hard to enjoy. They also initially forgot the sausage that comes with the special. When I asked about it, the waitress questioned whether it was advertised on the social media post, and I had to show her the photo. Once it finally came out, it looked unappetizing and tasted like it was old. We also tried the brisket egg roll appetizer, but the flavor of the grease completely overpowered everything. Overall, we were really disappointed, especially since we had high hopes trying this place for the first time. Sadly, we won't be returning, we'll stick with Guidry's Cajun Kitchen moving forward. read more

This place is ridiculous!!! They posted on their fb everyday but won't respond to any fb message or comment, and the number they provided is not working!! There are no way you can get a hold of them!!! They make a post on fb they have crawfish (but refused any communication) we drove 2 hours there just for them to said "sold out-call us next time if you lucky someone will pick up"!!! I don't usually review bars but, here goes. This place is a nice hole in the wall with lots of potential, but I have one main gripe. Service. I ran dry a couple of times before I went ahead and ordered a bucket. The server was absent for the most part. Wow. Walked in at 9:30pm today on a Saturday and waited at a table for 15 minutes for service before giving up, getting our own menus and asking someone for some help. The waitress was too busy cleaning up, texting and wandering around to even acknowledge us. When I went up to her and asked if we have service or needed to order from the bar, she said "for what?" ..uhhh to get food a drinks from your establishment? Anyway, she finally came over and took our order. We got a bunch of seafood and some appetizers and at this point it was 9:45pm. At 10:05 someone came to our table with our food ticket and told us, sorry the kitchen is closed. I told her we ordered before 10pm, on advice from said server to get the order in before the kitchen closed. On top of that we had already waited over 20 minutes for someone to even take our order. She apologized, and I know it was not her fault but it was still frustrating. If we had been greeted or even acknowledged when we arrived this wouldn't have even been an issue. We hung out to finish our drinks and go find food elsewhere and they came out with our appetizers. Apparently the cook made those and then peaced out, leaving them on the line. I've been wanting to try this place for a while and my friends and I just wanted some crab and margaritas and maybe some decent service. Your marketing employee is great and gets people in the door but I'm not sure my friends and I, or anyone else for that matter, would come back after this experience. Edit: Owner claims this is a false review, so I'll attach photo proof our server downing boiled shrimp in the back while we were waiting for our check, or any further service for that matter. We sat at a table, I HATE having to flag a waitress down for a refill. Be attentive to your clientele = service worthy of tipping. Wings were ok, a little on the soggy side. Service is the worst!!! Waited at 30 minutes to get drinks and menus. Then one waitress comes and tells us she'll be right with us and never comes back. Then a 2nd waitress comes, takes our drink order and takes 30 minutes to get those, then a 3rd waiter comes and just asks if we're ok, still without any drinks. We waited over 45 minutes for food! I watched the OWNER tell a whole family to wait outside because there's a wait time.. which there wasn't anybody waiting. Literally just threw the whole family out. Absolutely the worse service! We ended up walking out because the waitresses were too busy talking to the patrons at the bar and on their phones. One waitress was dressed inappropriately for a restaurant with her short short's on. The couple next to us canceled their order . Yes, I did recently try RainOuts Bar and Grill. It was not an enjoyable experience. They overcharged me. They will nickel and dime every customer. I was charged more than what was on the menu for wings. It was hot as hell in there, as they have no air. The manager was rude and will definitely respond in a negative way instead of correcting the issues. Just wait...5, 4, 3, 2 and 1... I thought I was getting a lunch special, but all I got was wings. No worries, they will be closed soon! The wings were not bad though, its just everything else! read more

Chicken fried steak on the lunch menu was wonderful. Real steak and delicious gravy. Cant go wrong.

The crawfish was not edible, and the owner spends the majority of his time arguing with guests who maybe didn't have a great experience at his establishment instead of trying to make it right or simply letting it go. Wouldn't recommend this "restaurant" to my worst enemy read more

It's not what it's cracked up to be!!! We went and were treated horribly. We weren't being loud and obnoxious just out to grab a bite to eat with family including my grandson. The waitress was really nice, she was new. There was a was a strange feeling when we first walked in. Its like we were being watched and for what I don't know. We asked for frozen margaritas, they said the machine was broken. We asked for Strawberry margaritas on the rocks. It cost extra for flavored drinks, ok no problem. We got our drinks then ordered our food. After a few minutes the waitress come back and said that we needed to give them a credit to hold until we were ready to check out! We asked for what, she told us that is what the manager told her to do and she kept apologizing, she realized what was going on. We told her we knew it wasn't her doing. We asked if that was the policy then why wasn't it mentioned in the beginning. No explaination. We paid for our drinks and told her to cancel our order because we were going somewhere else to eat. We had traveled across town to try them out upon seeing their specials for today on Facebook. Oh and by the way, one of the family members is a correctional officer who showed their badge to them letting them know we weren't there for foolishness! Copied and pasted from FB messenger after I brought to their attention that we have tried to do eat there twice but they were not open on time. First of all it was that they had hiring problems and then the owner PM'd me. I was trying to give them feedback from the customer perspective and he took zero accountability. You were there yesterday at 11 and we weren't open ? I was open at 10:30 for a catering and my cook clocks in at 9am daily. Bartender does get there at 11 so possibly might be a few mins after. what days did you come ? 5:20 PM You sent Last Saturday the 25th and yesterday the 29th. Saturday was right at 11:00 our first try and doors were locked. Husband tried side doors and doors on the patio area. Yesterday it was closer to 11:15 and same thing. Seriously we want to love it and try it. We so need great places here in La Porte. I am not trying to be rude at all. We support great places and just trying to provide real feedback from the customer perspective.
