Went with family and was pretty decent. I got a barbecue bacon burger it was pretty good the only complain I would have for it was it was a little dry. We just visited today & everything was great! Our waiter James C. was absolutely amazing! When he came to ask for our drinks, he put in our children's order as well so it would come out quicker, so they wouldn't have to wait too long. James also brought refills before we finished our drinks! My husband's food and mine didn't come too long after. The salmon they have right now was DELICIOUS!!! The pickled onions, tomatoes, corn, with the kale was absolutely amazing! The salmon has a like a honey glaze as well. The portion was perfect, it was a lot of food ! Looked about the same as the pictures they have advertising it as well (I would say even better!)! I hope that's something that they keep permanently!!!!! My husband got the appetizer & he couldn't finish it, he loved everything! James brought us to-go boxes before we even asked ! Our kids were a bit uneasy, we don't go out too much but we were planning on ordering the chocolate volcano. James said he would sing even if it wasn't our birthday haha made us laugh! The animatronics were nice but a few little kids in the restaurant were scared! The waitress were nice and moved those parties, so that was nice to see. I wanted to track down the manager and send a personal email to tell him/her what an awesome server they have... but after waiting 10 mins on the phone for a manager to pick up... I decided to leave a Yelp instead. This Yelp is probably not helpful if you're looking for the food aspect of the review because if i had to rate the food I'd give it a 2 star rating... We had to wait for a pretty long time to get our salads, the entrees came shortly after and the dessert took a little bit but we were fine because our server was cool, attentive, and just made it an all around pleasant experience! He communicated with us and never left us hanging. We come here for the "animals" and atmosphere because our kids still love it; it had never really been about the food and service was not always great, but tonight was a good way to celebrate. My nieces (8 and 12) asked to eat at Rainforest Cafe on a recent family outing at Katy Mills mall. It was a Friday and we were there for lunch. We had to wait for some time to get a table, but we didn't mind. I would recommend making reservations in advance to skip the line. The cheese sticks as an appetizer came out hot and were delicious. I had the coconut shrimp, which was good but a bit salty and so were the fries. I would have liked a bigger portion for the coleslaw as a side as well. Our server was super friendly and often checked on us. My nieces loved seeing the animals and waiting on the thunderstorms. Overall, we had a great time there as a family. read more

We went here for lunch with my kids after shopping at Katy Mills. Great place for the kids. Beautiful decor inside. Food is amazing, big portions for us three and we still have some to take home. They were super busy but the food came out fast and customer service was great. She checked on us multiple times to make sure our needs met. Kids menu: corn soggy and terrible; grilled cheese tasted like rubber; pineapples old; kids Alfredo nasty. No taste; pasta undercooked! Fish and chips: SO NOT WORTH THE PRICE. Disgusting and oily; the fish had MORE batter than fish. The only thing good about that dish was the tarter sauce. Rasta pasta: ok. Chicken tasted like rubber. So annoyed!!! Never ever going back!!!! I haven't been to a Rainforest Cafe for ten whole years. Meanwhile my boyfriend's never been to one. So when we saw one in Katy Mills mall we had to go! It was such an experience. I love the whole set up and the fact that the creatures move it is such a great and friendly environment. We even paid $10.49 for our drink with a souvenir cup. Our waitress was sweet. Now why is it 4 stars instead of 5? The service! Such a great place but the service wasn't up to par. Upon entering there were two ladies at the host table. They didn't greet us at all. Didn't say hi. One was just talking to the other. Then finally one kept saying to follow her. She said it like twice and we were already following her which was just weird. In my opinion the place wasn't that busy. We were seated immediately there were empty tables around us. But it took 20 minutes for us to even meet our waitress. I will admit I have no idea where her other tables were they might have been on the other side of the room. I don't know. But we rarely saw her. Until the end of our visit which was after closing time anyway. We got burgers should be easy, right? We waited maybe another 25-30 minutes to receive our food. Our top buns were so toasted we couldn't bite into them. With service so slow we couldn't even complain. I ended up removing the toasted parts off just so I can eat. It was a lot. But the scenery and the happiness we felt from the overall experience makes up for some of it. We're still young and definitely kids at heart who love to have fun we enjoyed our time here. If we go to Rainforest Cafe again we wouldn't go back to this location. read more

Went to rainforest Cafe on 12-16-22. My husband ordered the cheese sticks and pastalaya. He got food poisoning from one of those dishes. He had severe stomach pain with vomiting. I called the next day to inform the manager and spoke with Robert. Robert did not seem concerned and said he had not gotten any other reports and the dish is common. Please do yourself a favor and stay far away from this place. It is nicely decorated, but not worth getting sick. read more

I mean, imma be honest, 2.5 stars seems about right. There's a possibility that it would have been better if they weren't so short-staffed, but man, this was not a good time. The animals and scenery kept my toddler's attention for all of 5 minutes, which in no way made up for the 30min wait to get seated and another hour wait time for our food. Honestly, I've never been wowed by any of the Landry's establishments, but we literally only came here so the kid could see all of the moving fun things inside. But as I mentioned, that lasted for a few minutes and wasn't worth it. The food, when it finally arrived was exactly what you would expect from Landry's, decent at best, but mostly just mediocre. And the service was subpar. My daughter's pizza looked like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for the entire hour that we waited for all our food to come out. I will say I ordered my steak medium and it actually came out medium which is a rare occurrence in most restaurants (Ha! See what I did there!?) Same with my older daughter's burger, so if nothing else, the cook definitely knows how to temp gauge some beef! But that's about the only good thing I can say. The guy waiting on us (perhaps flustered from the lack of help) got things wrong like bringing my toddler sprite when we asked for lemonade, forgot to bring drinks we asked for twice before, forgot to bring extra lemons, etc. I think he was really trying, so I feel bad leaving this, but it was just a wholly bad experience and we definitely wouldn't come back. read more
