For someone like me who rarely gives reviews, I now am now compelled to write on behalf of Damien Raines and Raines Plumbing for a superlative recommendation. We recently hired Raines Plumbing to investigate damage done underneath our house after some foundation work had been performed. I had spoken with two other companies before speaking with Damien. I chose Raines for the job over the other two companies for several key reasons and I want others to know how good my experience was. Damien and his company deserve my strongest recommendation. Damien came to our house to investigate the damages and offer a solution. He conducted a thorough test in which he welcomed me to follow along and participate in so that I could see the results of each test myself. He was able to explain in concise and simple terms what the problems were and how best to fix them. I shared with him that a previous company had given me a very high estimate to fix several different areas of damage, but, for which, in one case, they had not even tested to prove there was a problem. Damien conducted thorough tests and knew exactly where the damages were. This resulted in a smaller project, saving me me thousands of dollars. But, just as important as the savings, he gave me confidence that the work was being done well. I was always welcomed to come see the repairs for myself immediately after they were performed. In cases where I could not reach the areas under the house they took pictures from the cell phone and showed them to me. Damien is a great teacher who can explain plumbing issues and corrections in a clear and methodical way. Everything he said to me, made good sense. He welcomed me to be part of the process as much as I wanted to be. He genuinely seemed to enjoy my questions and exhibits a passion for his craft. He is very transparent and constantly asked if I had any more questions or concerns. I received an estimate from Damien via email during the evening hours on the very same day as when he came to the house. The estimate was detailed and clearly written so I had no questions about what was to be done and the cost. The price was quite a bit lower than I had expected. Finally, the work was performed exactly according to the agreed upon schedule. There were no delays and I was always engaged. Damien was a pleasure to meet and to work with. His work is solid and honest. I have felt blessed to have gotten to know Damien and to have hired him to do this work. I have complete confidence in his integrity. My hot water heater gave up and leaked out in its closet next to the AC. I called around and got some estimates, but not quotes (I didn't want the hard sales pitch in my house), over the phone. Raines Plumbing asked for pictures, which no one else did, and replied with a quote, not estimate, that was considerably less than the competition. One of the owners came out and removed and replaced the heater the next day. I watched the entire process and from my perspective he did a great job. Talking to the gentleman, I learned they do all things plumbing from replacing faucet washers to digging under the house for broken sewer lines. I'll be using them again. read more

Raines plumbing did gas line work for my generator installation. The work was done neatly and looks great on the side of my house - pipes painted, bracketed, level, etc, just clean looking. Damien did not like where a cutoff valve was initially placed by the crew so they disassembled and fixed it to be placed properly. I highly recommend Raines Plumbing and Damien recently talked me through a fix to a water valve without coming out or charging me. Damien was quick to respond, flexible since I had to shift our originally scheduled estimate time, and was extremely professional. He was respectful and didn't try to over explain or assume I didn't understand what he was talking about. He was the third company to assess our plumbing issue (toilet replacement) and his price was by far the most reasonable, and he provided suggestions on what brand to buy for a customer supplied toilets. Just bought our home 9 months ago and then the issues started. Basically, the land had been shifting for years, breaking pipes in 2 different bathrooms. They needed to tunnel under the house to fix and clamped the pipes to slab of the house. Highly impressed with the amazing, fast, and professional work! Also installed two new toilets!
