Overall we thought the rolls had too much rice (the eel roll especially). I ordered a Sashimi Deluxe on DoorDash (the DoorDash price is $40, whereas the actual restaurant price is $36) and the dish itself was pretty good. As you can see from the picture below, there are a lot of sashimi pieces. 28 pieces in total (2 crab stick, 2 shrimp, 2 surf clams, 4 white tuna, 4 yellowtail, 4 red snapper, 5 tuna, and 5 salmon pieces were what I counted). The pieces are slightly smaller than most other sushi restaurant's sashimi pieces, so the dish felt like it actually didn't possess 28 pieces (more like 20). As for the taste, all of the pieces were fresh. The wasabi and ginger were on point. The taste was solidly good. The only reasons why I took away a point in the review are simple: 1) the imitation crab stick did not belong in the set, and 2) the pieces are definitely smaller compared to other restaurant's sashimi offerings. read more

It taste like they opened oodles of noodles got chicken from the corner of a flat top that was cooked this morning and threw 4 tablespoons of curry seasoning on it. Collectively I don't see a teaspoon of a shredded carrot no onion white or green onions in a mile of this dish. Now I understand that times have been tough and they want to conserve. I don't care the cost of food just do it taste good. That dish is so dry if I coughed you could see curry powder in the air. The sushi is not that good no big flavors of nothing either. It pains me to give any business two stars but I'm not sure I can give Rainbow sushi (delivery) more than that. We tried several sushi items and all of them were flavorless. The Green Devil roll fell flat without any spice at all, even with jalapeno on top. Same goes for the salmon lover roll. Mostly mayo and no spice or flavor at all. The crunch on top wasn't very crunchy either. The sushi burrito also didn't have any flavor despite getting it with spicy salmon and sweet potato. I had to pile on wasabi to taste anything. Adding insult to injury, the sushi burrito was tiny compared to the ones I've gotten at other local sushi restaurants. The chirashi bowl had basically unseasoned rice with the same flavorless fish. The only redeeming items was the beef teriyaki roll because of the teriyaki sauce. The most I can say about the fish, on the other hand, is that it didn't make us sick. With so many other exceptional sushi spots in town, there's no reason to revisit here, sadly. read more

This place has been one of my favorite sushi places since childhood. It's great for pick up and also dining in but is a very casual atmosphere. Recently I went here again after a long break and was very impressed with the new menu updates. I used to love getting the cucumber roll, avocado roll and asparagus roll. Now they have so many more veggie options and veggie options that combine more than one vegetable. One of the rolls has mango in it and it was so good! The other roll that really stood out to me was the vegetable tempura roll. It was made very well fresh and warm! Service is always good here and quick. I also recommend the gyoza! This is my daughter and I's favorite sushi place! Sushi is always fresh and well prepared. Our favorites are the shrimp tempura, Philly roll, chicken teriyaki and spicy California roll. The shrimp potstickers are amaz-za-zing too! Also I'm not a big fan of Miso soup but it's delicious from here. One of our favorites is also Thai iced tea. It's never overly sweet and something we add to our order all the time. They are very prompt in service, take Covid seriously and have only once forgot an item. They seem to have a lot of take out orders and they also deliver. People do eat inside, but I think they are known in the area mostly as a good place for sushi take out. I've enjoyed almost everything here. The handrolls, the maki rolls. I love the soft shell spider crab app as well as the fried tempura. When I came in the afternoon there were 4 young staff in the dining are having a nonstop conversation at the tops of their voices, so the tranquil background for quiet conversation that normally typifies Japanese restaurants was out of the question. Some adult leadership is needed perhaps. The sushi looked ok but nothing special, and I chose conservatively owing to a number of food poisoning reports on Yelp. No shellfish. I didn't finish the California roll because the rice was dry and looked like it had been hanging around for a while. The sushi fish did not taste fresh and I gave up halfway through. My first visit maybe a month ago left me thinking the lady working the register was just rude or having a bad day. I just went in there to order food with two of my daughters. We are black. The lady at the register looked directly at us and didn't smile or say any kind of greeting. Two white patrons came in right after us and got in line behind us. They were greeted right away with a warm smile and asked if they were picking up an order or dining in.
