Having booked an appt. over the phone, I was immediately annoyed by the receptionist who was even worse in person...really short with me and abrasive personality - cutting into your sentences etc. I had a hand full of visits and I always was seen much later than my scheduled appt. - the care and attention to detail was really poor. Crowded and rushed experience each visit, having gone somewhere else since, I have to say the level of care and treatment was really sub-par at best.

I went for Therapy here about 40-50 times after having Surgery on the Ulnar Nerve in my Left Arm. The office (50 Court Street, Downtown BK) actually felt super-clean, and there was no rushing me in and out like the previous reviewer had said. I felt that the Receptionist, Therapists, and Pamela were all courteous and helpful. The atmosphere was good, and it almost felt like my fellow 'patients' and I were becoming friends in the Therapy room while receiving therapy simultaneously. The women providing the Therapy were professional, and helped answer a lot of questions that my Surgeon had actually failed to provide. They massaged my 'kinda gross', healing scars without a wince or complaint... and it always felt that they knew what they were doing. The Receptionist was actually very, very nice. I'm not saying that this is a magical wonderland or anything... it's physical therapy. But I do think that the previous reviewer did this practice an injustice with such a negative description. I felt that this was a very good place to heal, and have no reservations recommending it to fellow Brooklynites looking for Occupational Therapy.

I'd like to begin with a bit of background. I originally enrolled my son at Infinite Therapy…read moreSolutions after receiving a recommendation from another parent at Woodrow Wilson School. At first, I was very pleased with the services he received. I appreciated that he could receive all of his therapy in one place, and I liked that the therapists collaborated with each other. However, over time, I began to notice a significant decline. The staff turnover became alarming, and the once well-managed team of highly qualified professionals and great leaders was replaced by a much smaller group with less experience, some of whom I suspect were students themselves. I also observed a shift in the environment. What had once been a positive, supportive atmosphere started to feel tense. Though they tried to hide it, it was clear that the staff weren't happy. It was difficult to watch the therapists my child loved leave, only to be replaced by less qualified individuals. I also heard other parents at my child's school discussing their negative experiences with Infinite Therapy Solutions, which further raised concerns. The breaking point for me came when I noticed on one of our insurance bills that my child's services had been billed under a different provider than the therapist who actually worked with him. While I don't claim to be an expert in these matters, I know enough to understand that such billing practices are a major red flag. After that, I decided to take my business elsewhere.

She took the time and noticed things I think many wouldn't. I felt she truly cared for my child and was there to support, especially when PT for a first time mom can feel overwhelming and stressful. She also isn't one to push you for more visits just to get you to keep coming back. She genuinely wanted to see our child succeed and was honest about when he was ready to "graduate" from PT. Couldn't recommend Ellie and her team more.

Going into the world of speech therapy head-on as a family, caused us to have never-ending questions, doubt, fear, and frustration, but the wonderful staff at Play & Say as been nothing but reassuring, professional, friendly and nurturing from Day 1 when we did an evaluation for services. Ms. Lisa and Ms. Victoria are a patient, engaging, and delightful duo every time we bring my son in for his sessions. He goes three days a week, at a half hour at a clip, but he went from being scared and crying, to literally running inside and not turning back! He truly looks forward to coming, and consistently seeks the praise from Lisa and Victoria. He's already come such a long way from only being 3 weeks in, but we've made an impactful choice on his future by coming here. He's signing better than what I've been trying to get him to do on my own for months, and he's making new sounds that are the precursors to some new words. It's been very fulfilling to say the least. Lisa is incredibly knowledgeable in her field, and will explain at length next steps and what to expect. She's been nothing but a light in this gloomy and uncertain time in our parenthood, and I view her as a friend and educator. Victoria is bubbly, friendly, and extremely approachable, as my son first engaged with her on his very first day! Lisa has worked with my husband, my in-laws, and myself to make sure we are all on the same page to set my son up for success. The space is impeccably clean, and so inviting for children to come and learn through play! My son has discovered the play kitchen and we even bought him some static toys similar to what he's used to at Play & Say, so we can continue practicing at home. I would recommend to ANYONE who is looking into speech therapy for their child and that Play & Say is a gem in our neighborhood.

It's unprofessional that other therapists would engage with personal chats and allow this to happen while working with a child. It also creates anxiety for the child. I paid approximately $80 for 30 minute sessions. I always felt like the place was hiding something because progress was regressing and there was little communication with the therapist. I took action and got to the bottom of it. When I found out what was happening, I made it clear to the director but never received a response. I will be sharing the audios to warn other parents.

After that they took him in alone. Each week we went he was more hesitant to go in. I also heard other older children ( with learning difficulties ) crying during therapy but mostly nannies are with these kids so parent might not even know it. It should never be traumatizing!
