A Company That Truly Stands Behind Its Work!…read more I want to take a moment to publicly recognize CRBR (Clean Right Build Right), and especially three individuals who went above and beyond for our family: Bill Winters, Branch Manager; John, our Project Manager; and Roy, the Superintendent. Our experience with CRBR didn't start out the way anyone would have hoped. We initially had luxury vinyl plank (LVP) flooring installed throughout our manufactured home, which has a raised foundation and an existing 5/8-inch subfloor. Unfortunately, the installation encountered significant problems, and the flooring began failing to stay properly connected. It was an incredibly frustrating experience for our family. We had already gone through the inconvenience of having our home disrupted for the installation, only to discover that the floors weren't performing as they should. Quite frankly, the situation became so serious that I was considering pursuing legal action. But what happened next completely changed my opinion of this company. Bill Winters personally reached out to me with genuine concern and a sincere desire to make things right. Rather than making excuses or dismissing our concerns, he listened, acknowledged that the original project should have been approached differently, and committed to finding a lasting solution. And he wasn't alone. John, our Project Manager, and Roy, the Superintendent, worked alongside Bill to oversee the process and ensure that the problems were properly addressed. Together, these three gentlemen demonstrated exceptional professionalism, accountability, and dedication to customer satisfaction. CRBR went back and addressed the underlying flooring preparation by installing an additional layer of 1/4-inch SurePly underlayment over our existing subfloor. They then replaced our original LVP with upgraded Cloudland AC4-rated laminate flooring. But what impressed me most was what they did beyond simply correcting the problem. Recognizing the tremendous inconvenience and frustration our family had already endured, CRBR upgraded our flooring at no additional charge and even waived the remaining balance we owed on the original installation. That level of generosity and accountability genuinely overwhelmed me. As a homeowner, I understand that mistakes happen. No company is perfect, and no project is guaranteed to go exactly as planned. But I firmly believe that the true measure of a company's integrity isn't whether mistakes occur. It's how they respond when something goes wrong. And in our experience, CRBR responded exceptionally well. Bill, John, and Roy didn't simply treat us like another job number. They treated us like a family whose home and peace of mind mattered. They worked together, took our concerns seriously, and made sure we received a finished product we could be proud of. Often times materials would be ordered last minute causing delays. I have an amazing tenant (who was displaced for the entire eight months) who was able to let me know when there were problems going on so that I could call and have them addressed (which was too often). They actually thought it would be ok to put a tarp on her piano and leave it on the front porch during the hot summer. Needless to say I cannot recommend this company. Had I not had the great tenant keeping an eye on the project it would have been a sloppy disaster.

NorCAL's owner, Owner F recommended that I replace the entire houses flooring. I said no and am happy I did. Dealing with owner M and owner F was frustrating which is strange because they had great reviews. Turns out those reviews are from the previous owner. That should not be allowed. I felt as if I had to manage my own project. Anytime I would ask about when something would get started or completed, I was met with "its day by day, I can't tell you any of that, this is just how it goes". Or I would get no text back at all. Their communication and planning are weak. First I signed the contract and fully designed everything myself. I sent item numbers and where to get the products. I only asked if we were on budget. Everything was torn out by a different company in June. NorCal did not start the rebuild for a long time. The house just sat there. I moved out mid May. NorCal's Owner M said that it would be done October 3. In the beginning of NorCal starting, there were 11 no show days where I was told workers would be coming. I felt like the project was going nowhere and when I asked what was going on I received excuses. They had literally missed more work days than they had come to. To make things worse, I noticed a rodent issue due to the demo it allowed critters in (this was not their fault) I paid a good amount of money to seal up my house and make sure the mouse situation was resolved. I also asked owner F to make sure that while they worked, that no one gave rodents the opportunity to get back in. Due to mismeasurement Owner F told me that we would have to replace and downsize my door that goes from my kitchen to my garage and that I would need to pay out of pocket, not my insurance. This was not part of the plan. After some research I realized that making the door 2 inches smaller would have been in violation of CA code. A NorCal employee came to do the door and left the job with the door completely off the hinges. I went to my home to find this and I had to use trash bags and duct tape to seal it off myself. After the no shows, poor communication, mismeasurement, adding the door, very little work getting done after 4 months and leaving the door open, I wanted out of my contract. I made my first complaint to Owner F . He told me it is their legal right to "show up once every 90 days" to avoid contract abandonment. I felt as if I was being held hostage. Watch out for the contract with no start or end date. It ONLY protects them. NOT YOU. Lesson learned, but also unprofessional of him. This kind of behavior doesn't inspire trust. Owner F seems to have a way of speaking to people as if he is in a place of power and he REALLY enjoys it. If you have a complaint, too bad....and let me tell you what part of the contract says we have you by the balls...... is the overall vibe. Work started, then came to a standstill: Owner M explicitly told me that no work could go further until the countertops were in and another company was in charge of that, so we were waiting on them. Shortly after, I started getting emails from Lowes about paying the remaining amount for the countertops. I called the company that was to cut and install. Turns out the countertops were not paid for and materials were never even sent from Lowes to the folks who cut and install them as Owner M stated. The countertop company said that all of her emails and calls to NorCal went unanswered. Owner M said that Lowes told him that they would send the materials and get them installed, then he would pay after. The countertop company told me that Lowes would never do that. I had been asking for a door knob for weeks to go out and do laundry. I was met with no response. Every time they did something, it was half way done, then it just sat unfinished for days. This set back the completion date for my home getting done and was totally avoidable. My Significant other finally decided that he needed to get involved after hearing a very rude conversation on speaker with Owner F and knowing that owner M was giving me the run around with the countertops and door knob. He went to their shop and had a chat with owner M. Owner F was not there. My S.O. said it was all excuses and getting ridiculous, if they couldn't do the job then they should have let me find someone else who could. After he left their shop, I received a text from owner F stating that if my S.O. ever comes to their shop or speaks to any of their employees, he will get a restraining order. This was the last straw for me. Owner F 's response was an overreaction intended to intimidate us rather than take any responsibility for their poor service and lack of communication. There were more issues but I think you get the point. Construction is stressful no matter what but this was so much worse than I had imagined. Be sure to look at your contract.

I have used ServPro twice now. Both with top-notch results…read more The first time was for a rental property in which my tenant found mold. Servpro was recommended by a friend and did not disappoint. Servpro was responsible for removal of the tainted wood, sanitizing the non-porous surfaces, and using industrial HEPA air filtration to clean the air in the home to remove any spores. Then they tested again to make sure the removal did not leave behind an unsafe level of spores. They began work immediately after testing to confirm the mold, then did the work quickly so our contractor could get in and replace the cabinetry. The second time was our residence which was nearly torched by wildfire. The whole house was inundated with smoke and ash in the attic. Servpro removed nearly all of the items in the house for cleaning, including bedding. They thoroughly cleaned the carpets, walls, ceilings--everything. I had to stay in a hotel for a few weeks to work due to the noise, but that was expected. They removed all of the tainted insulation in the attic and cleaned out the ash and dust. They even arranged an HVAC duct cleaning. One good part of the experience was the cost--all covered by insurance. The best part though, was the people. The office staff were great, and quick to respond with answers to my questions. The project manager on both of my jobs was Steve, who kept me informed every step of the way. And then the guys at my residence during the time I was there were amazing. Chris, Aaron, and Morgan were all really personable and hard working. They arrived early in the morning to work as much as they could before the attic became an oven during Redding's punishing summer heat. I can't imagine that's a cakewalk when they were wearing head to toe protective gear. They worked longer into the day than I thought was possible. Servpro cannot possibly pay these guys enough. Although I hope I never need to use them again, if something happens to my home or rental I know Servpro cannot possibly be counted on.

They didn't use primer on the siding to begin with and the paint kept on bleeding through and I told them it needed more paint. The exterior doors are falling off. Trim and molding coming apart. I had to even sweep it out and mop after they got through. They didn't fix and report everything. Leaving the project undone for me to fix and get it signed off by the county. I'm flustered with these people. If you hire someone make sure you check them out and check references. I wish it was more people doing reviews for me to look at before I hire them
