Middle of the night, get up for a drink of water, turn the tap, ...nothing. Go out to the pump house and yep, zero pressure, my well pump isn't pumping. In the morning I called Oregon Water Services as they have been very good in the past. All the water services companies were swamped with work (no pun intended) so they referred me to Rainbow Pump. Rainbow Pump was also very busy but being completely out of water helped to prioritize me a bit higher on their list. They came out to assess the situation and found more than one issue. There was no power to the well and a capacitor had blown. John showed me the capacitor from the pumphouse and yea, it was smoked. Beyond that, it was obvious by their testing at the well head that the submersible pump itself was blown. I wasn't really surprised by this as it was a Grundfos Pump over 30 years old. I requested they replace it with another Grundfos as I trust the brand for quality. John was able to save me over $1,000 by replacing the pump with one more suitable to my actual use, Thanks John!! Needless to say, Rainbow Pump got me back up and running. They made sure I understood everything they did and showed me the various components that failed as well as those that were about to. I had a pump for our well quit working after a severe ice storm and a service man arrived in 1 day and found that the capacitor had burn out and repaired it. He was fast and very friendly had the correct part right on his truck. I highly recommend this company for their knowledge and fast work as well as reasonable. read more

My tank pump was failing and we lost our water supply at the house. Rainbow Pump came over that day, even though they were understaffed and overworked. Jim did an excellent job diagnosing and replacing the pump!!! read more

After ripping out my pump in July and suggesting I take it somewhere else to be fixed, I finally received my bill at the very end of October. All the while having absolutely no idea how much I was being charged. Owner says, "I had that long to sit on the money". Again, I had no idea what the charge was. On top of it, they only give you a 10 day billing net before interest plus a credit/debit charge. That just doesn't seem fair in my opinion. read more
