Blood? Rectum secretions? Whatever it is is totally disgusting.

Please do not book here. The mattresses are filled with bodily fluids. Try calling to make a reservation. No one will ever answer the phone nor call u back. To my family, stay away from this place.

This is the "thanks for being loyal to us" email... so much for that

This place is not what they appear to be. It's not for the gay community. It's built to make you bleed money. Nothing is like it used to be here. The rooms are run down and the prices are 3x what they used to be. My chief complaint with this "resort" is that they emailed me (see email attached) an alleged "thank you for being faithful to us" email with a certificate of a free 1 night stay. The email is clear and succinct. It states that the offer does not expire and thats it. Today I called in to see if I could actually cash in on this offer. Seemed to good to be true. I made 2 calls and both times I spoke with Nya, Who confirmed I could use the coupon AND she put me on hold after telling me she would confirm with her manager.she came back and said yes you can have the king room for 4 people on Sunday July 16 and check out next day. I told her I would call her right back after confirming with the others and purchasing the flight to ensure I could get it since I'm coming from LA. She said great. I asked her if she could hold the king room while I got back to her she said yes. I called back in to book the room and spoke with a man who said he can not honor the coupon. I asked him why and he said it's only valid in 2022. I said the email states no expiration and again he said there's nothing he could do. Then he said actually it's only valid mon-thur. And again I told him that's not stipulated anywhere in the email. I asked to speak with Nya on several occasions and he continuously refused to let me speak to her. He told me there is nothing he could do to honor that email even tho I already bought my flight. This is Rainbow Mountain at its Core. Greedy and deceptive. I Can not believe that within 20 min the yes yes yes turned to "I'm sorry we can't honor that" Be aware when you book here. The rooms are not up to date and service is overpriced. Just pay the 5$ for the pool day and that's all you need. Never staying here again.

DO NOT STAY HERE! The accommodations look NOTHING like the photos online. The hallway and room smell like urine, the sink was completely backed up with bugs in it, I found two different pairs of earrings on the carpet that had not been vacuumed, someone's hair in the pillowcase, and the mattress covered in disgusting stains. Some of the minor inconveniences are: the door barely locking, and them charging an extra tax and "resort fee" of $50 upon check in (which was already paid for in the initial invoice). This place is completely unsafe with mold and other bodily fluid smells in the air, bugs, no house keeping, and it seemed like I was the only person staying there. If you want to get an STD, tetanus, raped, or a lung infection, continue with your booking. I left immediately. There is also about 2 to 3 total people at the bar on a Saturday night. In addition, they are not responding at attempts for a refund and I'm having to dispute the charge through my credit card. Please see photos and videos before booking anything here.

Love. Love. I love this resort. Unfortunately, they were significant accommodations that made me very uncomfortable. For example, there are no bed sheets, no bathroom "shower carpet", the main pump at the pool is was completely open," someone could fall," and so on. Many significant things that need to be addressed. I want to come back before winter this year, but with the price and the service, probably not. I am still paranoid because no bed sheets.

They had the nerve to leave this crusty and torn up envelope at the end of the stay.

This was by far the worst place I have ever vacationed in my 46 years of life. This place is totally dilapidated. The pool and surrounding deck was filthy and most of the chairs were broken. I'm surprised I didn't get hepatitis from the pool water. The garbage dump area behind the suites was disgusting and there was garbage strewn all over the place (and I say the word "suites" loosely because a stay at a motor inn would have been an upgrade). The light in the bathroom didn't work so we used a lamp from the desk in the bathroom. The removable shower hose was placed about 8ft high so you couldn't even reach it. There were approx 3 people running the whole place. Moon and Francisco were amazing. Moon did everything from checking me in to taking food orders, cooking the food, bringing the food out to the pool, cleaning the rooms and was the bartender at the nightclub. We are talking about a 10am-2am shift that she did. I'm sure the resort pays her a pittance which is abhorrent. The bar was never fully stocked. You couldn't even get the type of alcohol you wanted. The "continental breakfast" was abysmal and a complete joke. Dry bagels and pastries with a lump of cream cheese and some bananas. There were never any plates so you had to resort to using napkins if there were even any out. The coffee was good surprisingly. I will never come back here again and I highly suggest that you don't either. I'm surprised the health board hasn't shut the place down.

someone must have tried to kick their way out since the doorknob was broken

The one star is for the staff. Waiters, bartenders and front desk folks were very nice and helpful. The facility itself is almost beyond description. I certainly wasn't expecting 4 stars but this place needs to be shut down. There is literally no maintenance of any sort. Holes in the walls, doors broken , wrong sized sheets on the scariest mattress I've ever seen in my life, NO FIRE DETECTOR meanwhile I counted 7 extension cords in use scattered in every direction in the room. The sink was backed up, bathroom light was so dim you can barely see, plumbing issues apparently as the smell of backed up cesspool permeated the property. Do not under any circumstances spend a night in this place, it is literally dangerous and should not be allowed to operate. Have already filed a complaint with Monroe County Code Enforcement re: fire safety concerns.

Dust. I moved the tv and sneezed 100 times.

Can I start with the cliche "0 star option, please". What was supposed to be a relaxing weekend after a strenuous week turned out to be the opposite. I need a getaway after my getaway at Rainbow Mountain Resort. Customer service? None. I asked about wifi, the person who finally answered the phone at the desk said there was no wifi for a couple of days. That was a lie, it turns out there was no wifi at all for over 2 weeks. Instead of getting the truth, I just saw the reviews over the last couple of weeks and came to the conclusion that way. Cleanliness? No. The room was filthy. There were so many spider webs. That leads to spiders and a LOT of them. Bugs, I understand, but when there are layers of webs behind the headboard and spiders are crawling all over the bed, that isn't acceptable. No fitted sheets. Instead of investing in a proper fitted sheet, they used a flat sheet and tucked the corners. That lead to you having no choice but waking up on top of a filthy mattress with no layer between you and the filth. There was a desk lamp on top of a chair, in lieu of the pretty nightstand and light featured in the advertised photos. The best part? Heat. No heat. None. You call and nobody answers. I wrote the resort on Airbnb, no answer. So my wife and I sat in the car in the middle of the night to warm up. On top of the fitted sheet was a thing blanket. We actually had to fall asleep in the car because it was freezing. Horrible experience. We walked passed employees and all we received were odd looks. No good morning when we walked by to hand them the keys and we waited while they finished smoking, although all we wanted was to get out. Horrible experience and I think the community has been through enough.

DO NOT STAY!! THEIR WHOLE WEBSITE IS FALSE MARKETING !! I was excited to stay here for an overnight hiking trip, but when we arrived we quickly realized this place had fully scammed us. We immediately did not feel safe when there was no deadbolt lock on the main door. The room was not clean at all, nor did smell clean. There was dust, dirt and hair on the floors. The bedding did not have a fitted sheet to cover the mattress and also was not clean. The lamp was broken. Live spiders were in the room. Multiple holes, tears and stains on the walls. The staged photos depicted had art on the walls, bed side lamps, large carpet, etc that was not in the room. The hot tub we were looking forward to using was not in service. To say the least the place was non inviting and felt uncomfortable and unsafe. This place felt more like a whore house that is being rented out by the hour... I have attached photos for proof of what I saw which we then immediately left and was forced to find another hotel for the night. Their communication was horrible, lied about a manager getting back with me and still have yet to receive any feedback requesting a full refund for the fraud of a service they failed to deliver.

Sunday night stay 438. Hung out for Sunday for a day and ordered nachos. At least there is no fee to for using the pool for the day for my buddy visiting.

This is the dead cockroach I found on our windowsill upon checking in...

We had reservations for September 13th and 14th which we booked through hotels.com. When our travel plans got delayed, they were very understanding of the fact that we would only be staying the 14th and allowed hotels.com to fully refund the night of the 13th with no surcharge. I appreciated that and was impressed by the customer service I get from the individual at the front desk named Maggie. When we checked in on Saturday, we met Maggie in person and she was very kind and hospitable. I was impressed that there are like 3 bars, a restaurant, a pool and a 10 person 24 hour jacuzzi. I was excited to stay. When we got upstairs we realized that this is a dorm style facility in which bathrooms are shared. Bathroom floors were wet and not well cared for by the guests (soap not rinsed out of the shower, floors soaked, toilet and sink dirty). We were pretty let down but figured we would deal with it since it's only one night. We walked into our room and the first thing my eyes zoned in on was a gigantic DEAD COCKROACH on our windowsill. We went downstairs and let Maggie know who offered to switch our room which we declined. We were advised to contact hotels.com for a refund which again the staff approved and we drove the 5 hours back home, ending our weekend getaway then and there. If a roach is in one room, they're in every room. If a roach is in your rooms, roaches are in your kitchen. Shocked, disgusted and disappointed, though very pleased with Maggie's hospitality and customer service. She is the reason I would be ok with 1 star.

Short version: we spent $365 for a romantic night. It's not very private, comfortable, or clean. We left by 8pm, so I can't speak to the breakfast part. Longer version: The house is nothing particularly special: pedestrian, on a dark pot-holed street. Arrived around 3:30. We were given little slippers and told to leave our shoes by the door. Our host kindly showed us our room and all the wonders of the bathroom. We were also shown the eating area in the basement. Then some other guests arrived. The doors are quite thin and the room didn't feel private at all. The room looks out on the deck and the neighbors burning trash. The blinds do work. The bathroom was probably very nice when it was installed back in the late 90s. It's just a bit worn and not really luxurious. We used the jacuzzi tube. Water was very hot. The bed was very squishy. You just sink right on in there. Maybe some people like it. Don't let the pictures fool you. The room is a little smaller than it appears. The bathroom has a funny little wall with windows. The fireplace is right at the foot of the bed. The shower is kinda small. There were some romantic lights, but they lacked batteries and wouldn't light up. We mostly couldn't get past the feeling like there was no privacy. And some things that didn't seem too clean. There was even a barbecue sauce pack on the floor next to the bed. I just don't think the place is well maintained. But I guess some people like it. I think if it cost $150 a night it'd be fine. But it's definitely got that Poconos-skeeve vibe happening. Like I mentioned above, we spent the money but opted not to be uncomfortable, so we left.

After I told her our room number, she said, "Oh, that room should've never been rented. It hasn't been rented in a long time, so it needed to be cleaned." Clearly, it was not cleaned at all before we were checked into it. For a hotel brand that usually maintains high standards, this was unacceptable. I hope management takes immediate steps to refund my money and ensure rooms are properly inspected and cleaned before being assigned to guests. I would give 0 stars if app allowed it.

The entire floor space in front of the sink outside the bathroom with sticky with some sort of goo, I had to use a wet hand towel to remove the gunk which came up very dirty on the towel. The shower stall was not properly cleaned, I noted patches of mold and or dirt stuck to the walls. The way the soap dispensers are built in on the OPPOSITE side of the sink is incredibly awkward - having the permanently installed soap dispenser NOT next to the sink is a bizarre design flaw. While we are on the sink situation, the cold water tap knob spun around without turning on the actual tap - brushing teeth with hot water is not exactly a treat. At the price of $250+ for a standard suite in Stroudsburg PA I really expected a higher level of quality--- the staff we encountered were very polite and helpful which was the best part of the experience.

The hotel is clearly under renovation and upgrades are being, a few minor complaints (annoyances actually), the bathroom (tub) was not clean, the grates on the fan were dirty (I have allergies). So, these are minor things but I wanted to mention for awareness. Back to positive information "breakfast " was fantastic the area was clean and the food fresh. My suggestion is you book a stay and see for yourself how pleasant the staff is and the renovation upgrades are. I will be back...!

There was mold all in and around the shower and the bathroom was pretty disgusting overall. The wood work was caked with dirt and hair. These cabins are very over prices for what they are. The inside of the freezer had hair in it and wasn't very clean. We booked this place because they allowed dogs. We had to pay an extra fee of $75 per dog for an extra $150 on top of the $200 a night. The cabins are dated which I could deal with if the place was clean. The bedroom had an odor of cat urine. My dog chews a bone and he must have been chewing it on the blanket and put a hole in the blanket. I was charged an additional $100 for a blanket even though I paid $150.00 dog fee. Then I was told by the owner I should have said something. I had no idea it happened. The place is quiet but we wont be back. Its extremely overpriced for what you get and not clean enough.

I went on a walk through of the bridge cottage weeks before I was supposed to move in and it was dated; but looked ok. I showed up a few weeks later and was repulsed by the living conditions. Piss was all over the floor around the toilet, bloody dental floss was on the floor of the bedroom, the refrigerator had shelf's broken off with sticky looking residue streaking down the inside, mouse turds under the sink, and stains on the sofa. The mattress was also an old lumpy spring mattress from the 80's that I was told I needed to bring my own sheets, pillows, and towels for the bedroom/bathroom. There was supposed to be internet in the cottage and was told that I needed to get an internet extender since the modem/router was in a different cottage and could not reach. I told/showed the owner Hiram about everything I had found; including left over beer in the fridge. He told me that his cleaning lady had cleaned it and didn't know anything about it. I told him that I was not going to stay in that filth for the next month. He then showed me the Deerfield cottage. We opened the door and tried the lights; they don't work. Go to the bedroom and again a spring mattress from 1980 with pubic dust bunnies all over the floor. Went to the bathroom and once again $hit all over the base of the toilet with, you guessed it; more pubes. Utterly revolting!! I showed Hiram and he asked me if it was a deal breaker. I said undoubtedly yes it was!! He stormed off down the road in his yellow jeep and I left. I contacted my boss who had prepaid for me to stay there; since we had business in the area and needed to be in the area for a few months. He contacted Hiram who told him that he could not be refunded for the month. Hiram did admit to my boss that he had let a few guys stay there the weekend before and they must have left the beer/pissed on the floor. He is a crook and the place should be condemned. Do NOT stay there!!!! I didn't get the chance to take any pictures of the first cottage, but below are pictures of the second cottage he tried to put me in. Nowhere near as bad as the first, but still unacceptable!!!
