Delicious food, quick service, decently priced and ready when quoted! We come here often, I recommend the sweet and sour chicken, wontons and general TSO! read more

Love getting takeout from Rainbow King! The food is good every time and I almost always have enough leftover for another meal!

Excellent food every time! The family are super nice also. Weve only gone here for 10 years.

Decent Chinese food. I'm from up north and struggle to find good Chinese food here in the south. The sweet and sour chicken and the chicken lo mein are both good. The service is always on point, but I wish they had delivery (hence the missing star). The restaurant has the normal Chinese restaurant feel to it. Tables, chairs, and a busy kitchen staff. A little noisy, but I don't eat there so I don't mind. read more

Malasadas were pretty dense and greasy its not exactly L&L or anything I have tasted in Hawaii but they are new and hopefully they get their stride on regular food plates. read more

The New Owners really take pride in their food. Sorry you've read bad reviews- they didn't order wisely I've been in the South over thirty years also from up north, and I am so grateful to share these traditional Chinese dishes which are made with pride. The owners are lovely and respectful. I Respect them and their culinary delights! Try their Moo Shu, Shrimp with Vegetables and I'm sure you'll be Delighted! read more

the worst food i have ever had! they dug the chicken out of the trash and made the sauce from the trash can and used maggots for rice! for a first time experience, this will be the last! read more

Such a hit or miss with this place, and most often a big MISS and we've tried this place on and off for over 2 years - the past few times of getting it have been bad enough we've black listed it from our weekend dinners... The time before last my husband swore they must have pre cooked the general tso because we got home (a 5 minute drive from pick up) and several pieces of chicken where cold in the middle - as if they microwaved it? I usually get the veg lo mien and it's never consistent, some times it's pretty good, other times it's super dry with little to no veg.... This past order was the final straw when I pulled some fairly large plastic tab out of my mouth that was not food.... Not worth it when you're dropping nearly $50 bucks for dinner. read more

Delicious Hot and Sour soup. Fast and friendly service. I recommend giving Rainbow King try.

Very good Chinese food for a decent price. This is coming from someone who usually does not care for the quality of Chinese food. I would recommend. read more

Great Service! Friendly staffs. Fast Service! Food is great and plentiful. Atmosphere is good.

Ordered large beef and chicken lomein; had to dig to find meat. I suppose they're trying to make up lost COVID revenue! Don't waste ur money!! read more

The Singapore Mei Fun is some of the best I've had - and I make a point to try it wherever it's offered. If you like spicy food and spaghetti-like noodles this may be for you! My husband wasn't a fan of the Kung Pao, but liked my dish (Singapore Mei Fun) and the hibachi. read more

During the 5-10 min I am sitting in the restaurant waiting for my order, the little girl who's about 6-8 years old 1. helped an elderly customer out with 2 bags of food 2. Wiped down a table 3. Restocking the fridge with bottles of water.... Wow. This girl puts many adults to shame As far as food go... Good Chinese food read more

Just picked up a to go order of sesame chicken and garlic chicken. The best thing I can say is it was barely palatable. The chicken was chewy and obviously not fresh the sauce had a off putting aftertaste As for the garlic chicken according to my wife was also in par with the garlic chicken. The egg roll was obviously not fresh nor edible. They were discarded after one unswallowed bite. Very disappointed. This also is not my first time here, the last time was equally disappointing. I believe in second chances..but not 3rds. Definitely will not be back nor would I recommend it to anyone else. My stomach is cramping as I write.. read more

Good solid Chinese food. We always order extra rice and the portion sizes are big enough for 2 meals. Wish they had a delivery service though! Glad to have an Asian food option in the land of pizza, burgers, and Mexican food. read more

The customer service was great and the atmosphere seemed cheerful. I tried the sesame chicken and it tasted good. I would recommend this establishment. read more

Food was great. I only took off one star because I wish they would have gave us soy sauce and duck sauce for our egg rolls. read more

10/10. Definitely. There were four of us eating there and we all have strong opinions, Lo mein was amazing. Chicken was perfect. Two orders of hibachi steak and shrimp, and chicken, shrimp and chicken were tender and juicy, steak was a bit chewy but we think that was just the meat cut. Savory and fresh for sure! Fried dumplings were on point. Service was delightful and friendly. Come. Eat here or take out. You can thank me later. While we were sitting on location eating our food we saw many people come on for take out. Very good sign. read more

The food is decent not amazing like chopstixs in Wilmington. Flavor was more bland than anything. Reminds me of the Chinese food you find in the mall. Egg rolls were really small. The best thing I enjoyed what's the cream cheese wontons read more

Everything we had here was fresh and tasty, veggies were still crispy. My daughter and I agreed the egg roll had a fresh made texture and taste and was the best egg roll we can remember having. The service was wonderful, nice family business. We got generous portions. We will definitely be back. read more

The sesame chicken was flavorless and dry. The steamed dumplings were mushy and flavor not appealing. The fried rice was an abomination; not sure if there was egg or peas in it at all. Crab rangoon was ok read more

First visit. Kung Pao chicken was terrible. Celery and carrot do not belong. Should be water chestnuts and scallions. Green pepper chunks so big that you had to cut them up in bite size pieces. No resemblance to Kung Pao chicken except peanuts and little bit of chicken present. Probably put carrot and celery in every dish. Will never return. Note, rice was good. read more

The crab Rangoon was yummy, but our General Tso's chicken was a let down. Tasted more like sweet and sour with zero spice. It was even orange and not the color we are accustomed to seeing on the general everywhere. read more

We have at here several times. This time was okay, but not the best. The general two's didn't have enough sauce and wasn't as flavorful as it usually is. We will try again next vacation. read more

Food is decent Chinese food. Good to me. Clean restaurant with most menu items under $10. What impressed me the most of all about it was I personally seen them buy fresh ingredients from the Harris Tetter that is right next door and take it directly back into restaurant. read more

Amazing value for money. Fantastic food. I LOVE how generous their serving sizes are. The veges are always fresh and the Shrimp are huge! If you call ahead your meal will be ready in 10. Be sure to confirm your order though because there is a language barrier with the staff. We went home with the wrong meal once but didn't complain because it was just as yummy!! read more

Super good and close to our house. You can get a lot of food for cheap. Definitely recommend

I have been here twice and will probably never go back. The first time I went I got sweet and sour chicken (because it should be hard to mess that up) the chicken was good but the sauce was a little funky. The second time I went I got the sesame chicken lunch special. The chicken was a bit soggy, probably from not frying it enough, and the rice was not appeasing at all. About the eggrolls, I personally do not like them but while I was waiting for my food I saw a lady bite into one, make a face like she had just eaten the worst thing she had ever tasted and continued to spit out the eggroll into a napkin. Service is nice but the food is kind of iffy. read more

Extremely bad sesame chicken. It was dry and impossible to chew long enough to swallow. I have serious doubts it was actually chicken at all but some foreign meat not meant for human consumption. Also my order was missing the egg roll (C18) The one star review is for the side order of cheese wontons read more

Newly opened in the Harris Teeter plaza. Just got take out from there once. Best sesame chicken I've had in a long time! Crispy with good sauce, not too much, and nice pieces of chicken. Really hit the spot. My dad said his egg foo young was one of the better ones he's had, and mom liked her shrimp with lobster sauce. So far so good for a decent Chinese takeout place in Hampstead... read more

Great staff and great food. We order there a lot. I really wish they would deliver though. There have been multiple occasions that I would've loved to give them some business but couldn't because I would have to get off my lazy butt to do so. Other than that, great place. read more

I love the delightful authentic dishes in this restaurant the menu is always detailed and the service is excellent.

I'm visiting Wilmington and decided to pick up food here. The food was horrible. The rice tasted burnt. I got house fried rice and the shrimp tasted old. My chicken lo mein was in a clear slimy sauce and the chicken tastes like canned chicken. My house special soup tastes like water. Disgusting. Boneless spare ribs were not edible. big mistake choosing this place. The reviews here are old and not accurate. Do not come here. read more

Me and my husband get this after as it's not far from our house. Can't complain about the quality of the food for the price. We usually get hibachi and crab wontons. The only thing I have ever got that I absolutely wouldn't eat woas the Hot&Sour Soup. It had absolutely not taste! read more

UPDATE April 2015: The food is still very good BUT we have had two take out orders messed up in a row. They need to pay more attention to their orders. Just think it's a case of being busy and not taking the time to check behind themselves. With this type of food though, it's worse than messing up a burger. People are more particular with what they like or can eat. PAY ATTENTION GUYS! Moved to the area recently and looking for good Chinese food. Most take-out Chinese restaurants are not up to par by my standards as they offer lower quality, "Americanized" food. Rainbow King is the exception. The food quality was great, everything was fresh and not greasy or oily, and had nice flavor. We will definitely be back in the near future. read more
