My daughter has been a student at Rainbow in a Cloud since she was 2 years old and I could not be more pleased with this learning facility! My little one is headed to kindergarten in the fall fully prepared for big school. From the daily activities to the loving teachers, Rainbow in a Cloud is a 10/10. We are saddened that we are departing what has become a second family for us after 3 years enrolled, but we will be sure to visit anytime. Ms. Bria and Ms. Julie are heaven sent. i cannot recommend this school enough. my daughter moved to America and was Spanish speaking only. myself and her step mom were extremely worried about finding a program that would be able to handle a child that not only didn't know English but also didn't know this country and came to America after a traumatic incident. immediately after the first day my daughter couldn't wait to go back to school. she loved all her teachers and felt so comfortable with them. even with the language barrier, she made so many friends. and I was shocked that within 3-4 months of being in school here, she picked up so much English that she was able to communicate at a basic level with English speakers. the school hours was also a huge plus. my partner and I work very long hours so the fact that school is open 7am -6 pm is something that is much needed in these day and ages. the school puts in many events for the kids such as petting zoo days and pool days. it's amazing what they do for them. and they provide meals. unfortunately we moved an hour away for work and the only thing that was making us consider staying in Long Beach and just commuting was the fact that we didn't want to lose this school. wish they had a location where we moved to. Excellent place for your little one to attend! The staff is wonderful and are like parents to the children. I trust them as much as family members to care for my daughter while I am at work. My daughter's day is constructive, disciplined, and by her accounts - fun! Homework is given to prepare the children for elementary school which I love. All around a great place. read more

My 4 year old has been going here since I moved to Long Beach and I can't say nothing but good things about this school as well as their teachers. Their hours are long, 7:30 to 6pm, prices very reasonable including lunch! The teachers are very friendly and I can tell that my son has learned a lot because he tells me what he did in school and puts his new / nice words in action. Have you heard the saying "one bad apple can spoil the bunch?" In my experience this is exactly why I wouldn't recommend this center. I believe childcare workers should be respectful, honest, genuine, compassionate, have patience, trustworthy and overall have exceptional communication skills. They must be able to talk with parents about the progress or situations about the child in their care. The director Ms. Silva lacks the professionalism and patience on how to handle difficult situations. She is not genuinely concerned with reaching a solution and has a problem admitting when she is wrong. For example, I asked for a copy of my child's time sheet (a form required to be signed by the parent) she asked me "Why? Then quickly said "I can't do that" I replied, "Why not? It's a legal document with my signature." She was hesitant and then told me she would have them in 1 week. (to copy 3 pieces of paper??) in which I never received. I soon found out from the owner Ms. Angela (who I only seen a few times on site) the documents are shredded once the staff is paid. Ms. Silva obviously didn't have a clue about this and never apologized for her lack of knowledge and unprofessional attitude towards me. Ms. Silva lacks the empathy, patience and understanding on how to take ownership when she doesn't know something or admit her fault. Another example, I asked for the school to contact me when incidents happen with my child no one calls. Instead I would be presented with a report upon picking her up. Overall, Ms. Silvias last statement to me in a sarcastic, Uncaring tone definitely helped make my decision: "Well if you dont think your child is a good fit here then you're more than welcome to go somewhere else." As a director Ms. Silvia needs to be re-trained. After learning she doesn't have children of her own I was even more concerned and expressed to the owner to rethink her title. Having children enrolled are what keeps your business operational. Poor communication skills, disrespectful attitudes and not showing empathy are characteristics no parent should have to encounter when sending their children to daycare. read more

I am a first time foster dad . I have also worked in day center before . I knew what I wanted for my foster son and there were certain things I was looking for in a when it came to his education and care. This center is very clean and meets all of my expectations. My foster son has been going here for about 7 months and he now practically runs out the car every morning to get inside "school"The staff are always greeting you with a friendly smile and makes you feel so welcome. The entire team has made the transition very easy and I feel secure knowing my foster son is in a safe environment and in loving hands. The activities they do in class are age appropriate and engaging. I love seeing pictures and the take home projects. Rainbow In A Cloud is an amazing daycare. Staff is personable and remembers every child's name whether they are in their class or not. I was110 percent comfortable dropping him off my son everyday. He came home talking about school daily he attended Rainbow since age 2 years old. He started kindergarten last year and was fully ready for the Kindergarten challenge thanks to Ms Silvia and her dedicated Teachers. The staff is really amazing, nice attentive and highly competent. It's clear that they feel a tremendous amount of affection for the children in their care, and my son would light up whenever we arrived. Truth be told, I can't thank Ms Angela (Executive Director) enough for the peace of mind she and her staff gave me. It has been a priceless huge gift! Their facility is incredibly clean, the food is healthy and nutritious, the activities are educational and fun, and they have a huge outdoor learning space so the kids get plenty of exercise. The teachers communicate constantly with parents so you always know the progress of your child. My husband and I felt that comfort every day because of the team at Rainbow The location is also convenient for us as we previously found a lack of quality options in the Long Beach area close to the major freeways, and bus lines. We strongly recommend Rainbow In A Cloud for other parents looking for great care and attention for their little ones. You will not only see the love and joy in your own child's eyes when you pick him/her up but you see and feel the love and joy all around the daycare. Rainbow in a cloud is a wonderful daycare and the teachers are wonderful. Ms. Angela the director of the school is very caring and she's very respectful towards all the parents. I started my son here when he was 2 1/2 years old and he was given homework packets which really helped him to kick-start his writing skills and prep him for Kindergarten. The packets are not difficult at all and the teachers are very understanding and willing to work with the parents. My son is in Kindergarten now but still goes there after school until he's 6 years old. He loves it there and I feel like the teachers are a part of our family. I would recommend this little spot for all parents. These teachers treat your kids like they're their own. They help him work on homework from his Kindergarten afterschool which is such a big help because I don't pick him up until 5 almost 6 since I work 2 jobs. This preschool has been a blessing for us and so helpful in our lives. read more

My daughter has been coming to RIC for 2 and a half years now and she have learned so much in the past 2 and a half years. My daughter is no longer shy, she speaks really well and holds intellectual conversations that you dont expect a 4 year old to hold. The staff here is very friendly and has encouraged my daughter in her interests. They have an app that let's me know what my daughter is eating daily and what activities and words they learned. They also go on field trips which parents and grandparents are welcome to attend. I highly recommend RIC. read more

I was looking for a child care center for my grandson, I visited many centers and Rainbow In A Cloud caught my attention. First off, they have very friendly staff, experienced.
