My experiencing in working with various trades professionals is extensive as I have re done 4 homes, and I can confidently say working with Paul was the most unpleasing event ever. First- I was not made aware that ALL the furniture was to be moved out of the house or the start/end time of the job ( ex. my crew will be there at 9 am) . Being in construction this may seem a bit off however I am not in construction and all my other projects/renos/tradesman made we fully aware of there expectations PRE day of construction and this was communicated to me, Adamson didn't bother. Instead I got a lovely phone call from Paul stating that if they were to continue to move the furniture it would be 1000.00 to keep moving it back and fourth to complete the job. One day alone was 450.00 and i needed to confirm that i was going to pay this via text for the job to continue. Also they had moved maybe 5-6 items. I would understand if it was an entire home of furniture but it wasn't. Please have someone who knows flooring to see the job before you sign anything!!! Second- The attitude and customer service is disgusting. Being in customer service myself, I would never/never been spoken to this way in my life. He defiantly took the fact that I was a female to his advantage ( I also have never felt that way) . Luckily my husband is in construction and was aware that all these things are a way for them to make them more money= look better to the big boss. Business world sadly. He was sadly now involved. He was swearing at my husband calling him names and carrying on. He also wanted to charge me 2000.00 extra to complete 1 rip up 2 layers of subflooring and re lay board so it would not squeak- initially he was going to go over this as well which would have made the flooring buckle within 6m-1y Third- He "measured" 900 sq feet and charged me for that amount of flooring. When I had it re measured it was approx. 644 sq feet. Now i understand they allot for "extras" but 250 sq feet worth? That seems excessive. Paul was speechless when this was brought up- once again taking advantage of a female- or so he thought. After the first day I have decided this is not a healthy working relationship and all Paul cares about is money- so i can only assume this company is money driven? anyhow i offered to pay him a fair amount for the "work" completed. Also be aware that i believe they contract there work out as the two men that were working there had on different flooring t shirts? Also a red flag, I wouldn't work with Paul either! Spend your hard earned money anywhere else.

I have dealt with this company through a builder on a new construction. During my inspection prior…read moreto possession I was horrified by the quality of the flooring. There were numerous visual gouges (I stopped counting at 100 in a 900sqft condo) and there were significant gaps between floors so bad that you could easily identify the tongue and groove. Trying to have these floors replaced was a nightmare. There is no pride in their workmanship or care to try to remedy the situation once they have their money.  It took significant pressure from the builder and myself to even have them come and look at the floors and even more to get them to repair the floors. When we moved from the condo and purchased a cosmetic fixer upper, I told my husband (who works in the trades building houses) I was never going to use them for flooring because of how bad their customer service is.  Fast forward 3 years and we are working on some projects and the only place listed as a dealer in the area is Adamson so we decide to give them a try with apprehension. When we got there we discovered that they do not carry that part since they "can't make money on it".  Despite this, we decided to ask some questions about thoughts on aesthetics in installation in hopes that he would lean to one of our opinions and help us decide. Immediately he asked where we purchased the tile we we're working with, then said "you didn't buy anything from me and now you want free advice". That pretty much sealed the deal with never working with them ever again.  Thanks to their horrible customer service we will just travel further to get the hardwood flooring for the remaining levels on our house and the tiles for the two bathrooms. Never again will we consider doing business with Adamson and we will gladly share our experience with those we know which includes well respected custom home builders.

The manager Ken kept us in the loop every step of the way and the scheduling done by Adam was perfect. When the day of install finally arrived and knowing there were 6 large rooms to be installed we were apprehensive that it might be too much to accomplish in one day after all we were along way from Burlington. However everything was so efficiently planned and expedited that we couldn't thank the three installers, Nail, Yusuf,Kilic, enough for their efforts. From the time they arrived they worked stopping for nothing. The cleanliness they left those rooms in was as good as I would have done myself. The furniture moving was professional and very much appreciated. All the old Berber and awful underpad disappeared into clear bags to be disposed of by them. At the end of only one day we sat back very happy with our purchase and choosing Alexanians to vacillate the change for us. Thanks

So disappointed. We have been purchasing tile at Eden Tile-It for nearly two decades and have…read morealways been happy with both the products and the service. Unfortunately, this was not our experience this time around. We ordered 14 boxes of tile based on the display board in Eden Tile-Its' showroom (see photo). When we opened the boxes nearly 70% of the tile had no pattern on it whatsoever and those that did had very little veining (see picture of one of the boxes). There would be no way that the look represented on the display board could be recreated with the product we received. When I contacted Eden Tile-It. The manager, Brian, insisted that this was normal variation of product. It is not. It is deception. I understand that some tiles are going to have more veining than others and that some tiles, based on the display board, might even be completely white. However, 20-30% (as opposed to the 70% we received) of the tiles on this display board are plain white and the ones that are patterned have much more veining than any of the tiles we received. This is very misleading, and given that customers are paying up front to order a product based on these display boards, dishonest. Customers should be able to trust that they will be able to recreate the look on these boards. I felt sure that Eden Tile-It would make this situation right, but they did not. Saying only, "That's just the way it is." The tile was returned but at a 15% restocking fee and the manager seemed ill equipped to handle a situation where a customer was not receiving what they paid for. Brian made no attempt to fix the situation, blaming the supplier and insisting the product we received was acceptable. It was not. I have recommended Eden-Tile-It to many friends, family, and even contractors over the years and have even taken friends into the showroom to help them choose tiles for their renovations. Based on this experience, I will not be recommending them again, nor will I be purchasing anything from them in the future. Go elsewhere. There are plenty of other suppliers that will treat their customers better

They were previously done in 2001. Larry of Halco attended and gave us the best written quote. It was not the cheapest, but I must say, the best explained. He answered questions and explained what would be done, material to be used and pricing for any new plywood sheets that may need to be replaced. I then saw that they were replacing to roofs on two single family dwellings on a nearby street. I stopped by and watched them work. I was impressed with what they were doing and how they were doing it. When they attended to do ours, they were quick, no loud radio playing and clean-up was excellent. We were both very satisfied with the final finish. We both highly recommend Halco. Remember, not the cheapest, but listen carefully to the quote and explanations of others and I think you'll be impressed. Plus it has a written warranty which is transferable.

We received 4 quotes from different roofers and selected Halco. They were not the lowest quote, but they were not the highest quote either. We chose Halco based on the initial interview, Larry answered all of our questions thoroughly and explained fully what the crew would do. We also had two excellent references. They started on the day they promised and were finished on time, and they did not a have a boom box radio blaring all day as our neighbours did who hired another company. The shingles looked good and are warranted for 50 years. Money was not not required until job was completed. Cleanup was done well, no papers, torn shingles or nails anywhere and no damage to our gardens. We would highly recommend Halco roofing.
