Just wow!! Very best car wash experience ever. No crew worked harder. They took their time- no rushing and cleaned thoroughly. One small glitch - a missing pair of sunglasses left atop the steering wheel. Looked for but none could find. May e tossed out. But do not leave items of importance behind. They could end up tossed. Would highly recommend. No one compares to their service and attention to detail. read more

From 5pm - closing, Rainbow Car Wash offers an exterior night wash for $10.00. This was my first time doing this service and it was nice and quick. I had my car done in 10 minutes and it was clean. Thank you Rainbow Car Wash. I do think that the staff who you checkout with could be a lot nicer and friendlier, but it's okay. The staff outside cleaning and drying the cars definitely work very hard. read more

This place gives me a panic attack! Everyone is crammed in. Cars are on top of each other and the inside job is mediocre at best. Very rushed job, you still need to get in there and give it a wipe and my car isn't that dirty. The worst part is the complete disregard for the community the way they leave allll that garbage in the parking lot. They just throw the garbage out of each car into the floor. Then it blows down the street. It's upsetting to see our town treated with such lack of respect. read more

Rainbow Car Wash was extremely busy, yet still very thorough. I overheard one of the reps mention that nearly 400 cars had already come through for a wash that day, which really speaks to how popular this place is. I paid $30, which at first felt a bit steep, but after seeing the quality of the work, especially the interior cleaning, it ended up feeling well worth it. I spent about 30 minutes total there. After exiting the car, it took roughly 7 minutes to go through the wash and about 5 minutes after it came out before they started on the interior. Even with the steady flow of cars and short waits, the staff stayed organized, did not rush, and paid close attention to detail. Overall, it was a solid experience and I would definitely return. What a shame...brought my Jeep in for a car wash here and they did a good job BUT when I went into my back seat to grab something I noticed the cover to the door hinges was gone & the one on the passenger's side was out of place. They did a pretty thorough wipe down of the interior so I imagine it was simply knocked out of place (just like the other one was) and fell out of the Jeep. I went back to see if they might have found it and the manager was so RUDE!! He said I had no "proof" they did it and they are not responsible for loose molding. It's not molding to be clear and I never thought it was done on purpose (I had moved something in the back seat when I dropped it off so I know it was there) and I wasn't accusing anyone of damaging my vehicle , I just would have appreciated an acknowledgment that it might have been an accident and that they would look for the piece. Guess his "meeting" that I interrupted (I was told I'd have to wait 20 minutes for him) was more important than customer service. I will definitely be finding a different car wash. read more

These guys work hard!!! It is a little more pricey but the employees take their time and really do their best to clean your car up. Every time I've gone, they spend at LEAST 20 mins to vacuum/dust/wipe up after the wash. I appreciate the hard work and service! read more

Damaged my car few days ago. Asked for a manager, Fernando came threatened to call the cops and to sue me for showing him the damage and asking to see his security footage. Then rudely asked me to leave the store. Emailed the owner Mike and no response. Good cleaning and they workers were lively and they had all the necessary supplies inside

To all the negative reviewers, I genuinely want to know where else you're getting your car washed in this area that's as thorough as Rainbow is, at as competitive of a price. I've tried several other car wash options in the area and none do as good a job as Rainbow, and virtually all of them cost the same if not more. I came here on a Monday morning and this place was packed as usual. I opted for their interior and exterior package which includes getting the windows properly cleaned inside and out, which my car was in desperate need of. $29 plus tips for my two hard working attendants later, my car was sparkling. I did have to wait a bit to be able to pull my car out of their driveway while the ones surrounding me were still getting serviced, but luckily I wasn't in a rush. My biggest tip for anyone coming here is to make sure you're giving these guys ample time to work their magic. This isn't a quick in and out type of place, but your patience will be rewarded when you see your cat sparkle. read more

In the area here, this is absolutely the best Car Wash. The Syossett car wash is decent but after the car is through the wash, maybe they spend three or four minutes doing the inside. At rainbow they take their time and they do it thoroughly. Also, the store itself is nice, they have a nice comfortable leather couch and they even sell Coca-Cola in a bottle, yes, a bottle! This car wash is also a little less expensive than others but delivers more in terms of the quality of the wash. My recommendation is to tip nicely after they give you your car back If you are satisfied; they work very hard here and I'm sure most of the people are immigrants and they can sure use the money for food and living costs so if you have it, be generous. read more

Rainbow Car Wash - Coca-Cola and a real glass bottle! - Car Wash Near Me - Hicksville, New York

1 star. I went here for a normal car wash and when I got home I realized my front license plate that was in my trunk was gone. The trunk was only opened while they were servicing the car. Plates don't just magically disappear. Now I have to deal with filing a stolen plate report and going to the DMV to get new plates because of something that happened while my car was in their possession. That's a huge violation of trust. When you give a business your keys, you expect your property to be left alone. If you come here, remove everything from your car and check your belongings before you leave. I definitely won't be coming back. read more

My first visit with this business cause I don't live in the area and was in need of a basic wash "WAS" going well... They have many employees taking their time to clean and wipe down your vehicle thoroughly and though a bit pricey $30 plus $5 tip. I was pleased with the service, until I noticed my Bluetooth phone adapter wasn't in the port/ console of my 2020 Jeep after leaving and now running late for my business meeting. BEWARE of any and all your property when patronizing this business someone has "STICKY FINGERS" and now the basic car wash cost was $85... After calling the manager to notify him of the issue, he said he would text me his number so when in the area again, he would rectify the issue but he never sent the text. Whatever you value in your vehicle take it with you cause it will grow legs and the management will sh*t can you like they don't know they have some Kleptomaniacs on the clock... read more

Undoubtedly, the most amazing service I've ever received from a car wash. The wonderful manager serviced my car with extreme graciousness. My car had collected some kind of sap in the exterior, hundreds of inch-sized sap globs that wouldn't come off no matter what I tried. His awesome workers go to it and removed all of them! UNBELIEVABLE!!! I love this car wash and their supreme group of workers. May God Bless them always. read more

Rainbow Car Wash in Hicksville is always busy, hard to get in an out of on a busy Old Country Road. I order a decent choice to do the much needed cleaning of the car. I give a good tip to the 3 people who worked on it. Seems the workers though nice enough people, do not speak English to communicate. As I'd had a garden box with sharp edges I asked the girl to place it in the front - where it had been taken out of from the floor. She put it on the leather seat. The chairs fold up and down. Yes there was much to clean with air hose and vacuum. She left a different seat up and when I went home to place it down , it was like sweeping it under the rug. as there was dirt and hair on the floor. Then I had a choice, bring it back or clean it myself of which the later I did. I was not particularly happy. PS (see pix) the door only door to enter to the register has aa sign that says go through other door - which is the garage! read more

Superbly excellent car wash. Blows so many others away. Lines may be long sometimes and the wait for your car is excessive but the attendants clean the car extremely well by comparison to other car washes. My SUV has been filthy for few months now and needed a wash badly. This is my 1st time going to Rainbow Car Wash and most of their google reviews are positive. I paid for the Platinum package. We always get the night wash but needed more this time. Tried the "Protect & shine" which includes Wheel Buster + Tire shine + Sealer wash + Exterior wash + Vaccum interior + Windows cleaned. Despite living about 20 minutes away from here this is the only car wash I will go to on Long Island. It's not so much about how clean they get the outside of the car but how thoroughly they clean the inside of the car. It does take quite some time for them to finish with the interior but I always leave feeling like I just got my car detailed. It's around $30 for a wash and honestly worth every penny. I was also able to tip the folks cleaning the inside of the car via Cash App which is very convenient since I often don't have cash on me and I'm not a fan of all of the fees that go along with using a random ATM. read more

I Paid almost 30 dollars with tax for a car wash w sealant wax. I watched the car go thru the car wash and saw no signs for sealant wax light up. It was washed and went thru a rinse. I spoke to the manager and i explained the situation and he said the sealant wax went thru the rinse. In the car wash world i told him he was full of it and i will not go there ever again. I want to say whoa ! What great service. I got a car wash with the Ultimate package ($45)! They took their time and made sure everything was clean and shining. The reason I'm leaving this review is because , during my wash it started to rain! Right when they were finished (ironically ). I called back after I left and the receptionist, was very nice and said come bask when the rain stops and will do the outside and inside again . No hesitation, she didn't ask for the receipt, she just said come by today later . If you have time . Make it your business to try this place out . They do not rush. Worth the money. I don't know if they have monthly subscriptions but if they did I would purchase it and come 3x a week . read more

Absolute worst car wash to visit. We came in for a simple wash and we came into the car and the ac WAS NOT working after we came in when it was. prior. The manager did not want to refund us for the wash or the even the tip made to other team members. They blew our fuse and after that did not want to take responsibility and or give us a refund. Rainbow Car Wash - My car after the wash - Car Wash Near Me - Hicksville, New York

I have to agree with the other posts in saying that this place is WAY overpriced for the bare minimum of a cleaning. Inside the car was half cleaned while the outside looked clean when I approached it at first and then realized it was so streaky and they are definitely using dirty towels. If I dealt with all that what I wont deal with is how obnoxious the girl at the counter is when paying. Will NOT be returning nor would I recommend this place to anyone. read more

I would put 0 stars for this place if I could. Friends came in today to get a wash for their two Chevrolet Suburbans and they had two coupons, and even though they were valid, were denied. They paid $150 for their oil change and then they received the coupons, just to come back today for them to be denied by the car wash. This is horrendous service for a place located in such a busy and expensive area. Never coming back here. Fix your service and then you can raise your prices. read more

This car wash, the actual service is great.. they are thorough...Now the customer service... that's a different story. Been here over 20 times and each time.. the front desk woman (who is I think the owners daughter) just exudes how miserable she is.. at least she is still respectful. Really every time you come to pay they act like they are doing you a favor! However yesterday the NEW young woman with the face piercing & drag lashes was extremely rude, passive aggressive & immature. I'm so confused what you're so upset about at one of your first jobs as life has barely started for you. Choose better people to be the face/cashier. I asked her how much something was she just said she needs to scan it with such an attitude, instead of just saying I can check for you. Scanning it and letting me know.. when I decided which scent I would purchase, she just snatched the receipt scanned it. Didn't state the price.. I put in my card.. she put the receipt down on the counter and looked away as she clicked her acrylic nails on the counter repeatedly...I'm not one of your peers! I'm a paying customer. Luckily l had a lot of patience that day.. or I would've cursed her out. I usually don't take well to people treating me badly for no reason. Especially when I'm paying for something read more

This was my first time here. I have been having a hard time finding a car wash with good reviews lately. I had an appointment in this area and passed this car wash and saw how many employees were cleaning cars after the wash. I figured I would try it. I got the VIP wash which was $41 with tax. The man who took care of it at the end spent about 30 minutes drying, spraying rims, cleaning spots missed and cleaning the inside. I was very impressed how my car looked especially the inside. I tipped more then usual because I was so pleased. I received the full value of what I paid and definitely will return and recommend this car wash. read more

I always bring my car here for car washing. I usually get the VIP service. And they've always did a good job. This was my first time at Rainbow. I had looked online and it seemed they had a lot of positive reviews so I thought I would give them a try. I purchased a Luxury car wash. The men in the front before the car goes in were very nice. The lady at the register was nice too. My car came out of the wash looking great, clean and shiny. Then a young lady dried the car, shined the wheels and cleaned the interior. As I was waiting I noticed how very many people they have cleaning the cars, which suggested to me that they are successful. Then when the young lady was done cleaning/drying my car, I got into it and I was so happy with how perfectly clean it was. And she dried it thoroughly too. I'm so glad to have found this car wash, as I've been to many others and have been disappointed. I will be a regular customer of Rainbow. read more

This is usually my go-to carwash. I have always loved them since they opened. The staff is always pleasant, they do a great and thourough job, and I love that they extend courtesy to first responders. However today and my previous visit were far from the norm. I felt very rushed and the job was frankly half-done. Today the entire bottom and middle of my windshield are left near filthy. Very disappointing. :( and I had a similar experience on my most recent prior visit. I hope they aren't going to start to get comfortable and - update 1/16/19 - down to two stars from three. Very disappointed. This is my second bad experience in a row. My back windshield appears even dirtiwr than when I went in. I guess maybe it was "dried" with a dirty towel? And two of my windows still have bird poop on them. The only reason I went to thw car wash. I have never seen a car wash not even be able to remove that before. My mirrors are all spotty. Very disappointing experience. It may be time to search for a new go-to car wash. read more

Okay, so I'm definitely never coming here again. I brought my car in to get detailed, which they boldly advertise as soon as you pull in. The guy who was working the ticketing system told me that they'd do some touch ups on the paint if I bring in a bottle of touch up, which i did, and i handed it to the people inside at the counter and they just looked completely confused. In fact, even when I went to the register and they saw i was getting my car detailed, they seemed really confused. Obviously they "offer detailing" but they dont reallyy offer detailing. I paid $150+ tax for basically a $50 worth Ultimate car wash. Gave them all of my info and they told me they'd call me when it was ready. Almost 5 hours later, i called them and asked about the status and they said "Yeah, you can come pick it up now". I went back to pick it up and saw it in the same spot it was in when it ran through the car wash and it didnt look any better than just their regular $50 car wash. They also didnt do any touch ups with the paint pen i left them and then started to do them on the spot, pretty badly actually. My main issue is that I wouldnt have minded paying $50 for an Ultimate Car wash if thats what i was getting. They basically stole $100 from me for a bs "detailing job". So definitely now going to do business with them again, which is sad because I used to come here all the time. read more
