I took a gamble and made the common mistake of going for a cheaper alternative and got what I paid for. Admittedly, I carefully observe the work and might have higher standards than most, but even under normal standards the work done here cannot be considered acceptable.
I had a bumper replacement done and the quality of work was very poor. What do I mean by poor? Well, you can clearly see the paint quality difference between the original and new paint. If you don't know, look up "paint orange peel" effect. My car had it and it's because of the poor painting technique used at this shop. Also, the bumper was already peeling which I was told occurred during the installation. That's funny, I thought I came to the body shop to have those things repaired.
The guy also talked with the insurance company to get more money without my knowledge. I can understand that he found more damage and needed more money; however, he held my car hostage until the he got the rest of the money from the insurance company. First, I didn't agree to the extra charges and the extra charge was between him and the insurance company to which I was not aware. This seems completely unprofessional and maybe illegal.
If you want something done cheap and don't mind poor quality work you should go hear. As for me I will not even take the car back for him. read more
