There is no tax on massage therapy in CT. The reviewer who said he was charged tax should have reported it to the state. A licensed massage therapist will not be in the phone during your session, they are supposed to be hands on for the time you have booked. read more

I went here about 10 days ago with my wife for deep tissue couples massages which were decent, though they seemed to push very hard in odd places that didn't seem like pressure points, i.e. bone and thus rather painful. But the really disturbing thing is that when we went for payment they recommended cash, but we didn't have that much on us, given a rather significant sum. So I paid with debit card, and immediately after, I had a fraudulent charge from some other account masking for the exact same amount ($166) plus .99, which of course my bank paid, and so it had to run an investigation, which just came back today as indeed fraudulent. What's worse, two new charges appeared immediately, one for $458 and another for $200 that my bank flagged a fraudulent right away. As such I had to cancel the card and wait for a new one to be sent out. All of this was obviously a real hassle. Clearly this merchant's wireless credit card payment system this is not secure. I complained about the hassle to the owner, but she didn't care and gave me no compensation or seemed interested in even looking into securing the payment system better for future customers. read more

I booked and hour long massage for $60. I really wanted this to be my new place as most places are closed on my day off (Monday). The massage itself was good, not very technical or pressure point focused but for $60 it's fine. My appointment was at 3:30 I walked in at 3:33 (kinda hard to find). I changed quickly and just laid there...at approximately 3:40 the massage began. I noticed right away the masseuse was on her phone and had her ear buds in. I could hear the talking and she'd stop occasionally to text. I wasn't that upset I can imagine the job can be laborious she just seemed unprofessional. Then not once but three times she left the room to take calls and deal with customers. She was gone for around 3-5 min each time. At exactly 4:30 she stopped the massage and left. It was the check out that got me concerned. Upon check out I handed her $10 cash and told her I'd tip the rest on the card but as she pocketed the cash I was was told that they add $20 to every card for "tip" no matter what...that's a 50% tip with the cash I gave her! She then scanned my card and instead of letting me enter my tip amount on my own she charged my card $85. When I said I didn't understand she cited that I needed to pay the "tax". Now I've always been good with numbers and this wasn't adding up. Decent massage, but a gimmick you will never pay less than $85 for services and they are very rude and aggressive about it. Truly disappointing, I don't mind paying for good service, I don't like being scammed and bullied. I won't be going back. Proceed with caution, very shady. read more

I decided to begin my new year 2020 by treating myself to a massage. I did not have one in many years. I wasn't sure where to go. I chose Rainbow because it was not too far. Wow - was I happy I chose Rainbow for a massage. Linda was my masseuse and she was fantastic. Her hands were magic with a beautiful touch and feel she seemed to find every aching muscle I had in my back and shoulders. Her pressure was perfect. This is the best hour I had in a long time.
