The best store in Highland Park!!…read more I personally love going here, ever since my cousin took me here. There are a lot of Beatles merchandise here, and vinyl records. Cool, right? But Rock N Rags also provides clothing! How could it get any better! The owner (Steve) is wonderful. He helps you with everything. Also, the employees are very nice. They are mostly in high school/college, but they help you with fashion tips. Steve is wonderful because he told me that Rock N Rags never prices over $100. So, everything there is $100 or less. What a bargain! Wonderful clothes, and awesome records $100 or less?! The brands there that they always have are Brandy Melville (includes J. GALT USA), Blu Pepper, and others. They usually have the vintage/bo-ho looks, and I love it! Overall, wonderful store, wonderful service, and fabulous records and clothing to choose from!

I've stopped in here several times and each time think I need to come back with my daughter. I…read morefinally did that yesterday and think she may have found one of her new favorite stores. The owner, his daughter and the young women who work here were so friendly and helpful in finding clothes that appealed to my 13 year old. I also appreciated that they kept in mind what i would think was appropriate for her since we don't always agree on this. :) I thought the prices were very fair, although she did snag a (super cute) boys lie hoodie that was on the pricier side. Some other brands they carry that she gravitated towards were free people and spill the tea tanks. I even tried on a super stretchy and comfortable pair of jeans (also very well priced), but just wasn't in the mood to buy jeans on a hot August day. I'm enjoying wearing skirts/dresses while the weather allows for it, but may go back in the fall. While the clothes are adorable, the friendly owners and staff are what set this apart from some other boutiques we've shopped in. And that alone will bring us back soon!

After moving to Highland Park during the middle of the pandemic, I hadn't really gotten around to…read moremany stores nearby. I walk by this store everyday in the pre-dawn hours walking my dog, and the store windows always look amazing. And hesitated to go in after reading some of the reviews. Today I had the opportunity to go in as I had the day off work. I was dressed poorly - yoga pants, sweatshirt, and the knit hat I usually run in. And yet the ladies working couldn't have been nicer! I experienced none of the attitude other reviewers mentioned. They were all kind, helpful, not overly pushy or sales-y, and even called around for a sweater in my size that they didn't have anymore. Now the prices are not cheap- but on a strip with Eileen Fischer, Nic & Zoe, etc., why would you expect it to be? They have a lot of different styles across the board - tops, accessories, shoes - and if you look you can find things in just about any price range. I like shopping local and will definitely be going back, especially when I see a cool top in their window display.

I can always count on them - if something doesn't look good they'll let me know. I've also bought things off of their Instagram and they happily drop it off at my home in one of their gorgeous bags. That's awesome. I always leave with great styles & feeling cheerful. I have several friends who feel the same. .

It's a beautiful warm and humid day in Chicago and the walk was good. The place is very quaint and small but well lit for shopping. It's a woman's boutique specializing in European clothing. The major designer is Solar and I have not heard of it, but designs are suited for a dressier woman. Thankfully that counts me in as I work in an office where jeans are not allowed and it's conservative so the weekends I can go casual. Back to the store the sizes are European and the lady at the counter (I am assuming is the owner) was very kind to tell me that 34 is usually x-small, 36 is small and 38 is medium. I'm usually a medium but some of her clothing allow for a 34 when I tried on a pair of white slacks. It had a great fit, but buying white is difficult because the material may be more revealing than you might like. Her clothes has many price points as she indicated and sales from the previous season is 20% off. Her summer selection drove me to walk in full of blight yellows, pink, and orange. Do stop in if you're in the neighborhood and support local small businesses!

It's a cute place jam packed with trendy clothing, jewelry, accessories, home goods, and kitschy items. My wife loves The Clothes Store and I have found many a great gift for her there. The owners are extremely friendly and know my wife and are helpful in finding the perfect gifts for me be them clothing, jewelry, home goods and more. And if I'm unsure of what to get, they have gift cards. It's one of the (very) few stores I'll visit with or without my wife. They even have a day on Facebook or Instagram where they showcase new arrivals and announce sales. Too bad they don't have a men's store. Though, if you're a woman, you have to check out their array of items and I'm sure you'll walk out with a cool find.
