Tried a bunch of dishes to share and thought each was tasty but a couple stood out as better. Drinks : kombucha , passion fruit mojito, and chichi ( my favourite , this was like a fresh blended pina colada ) 1. 5/5 Kale salad ,Don't skip the kale salad it was easily my favourite dish , great dressing and a little bit of crunch. 2. 4/5 Taro tots, great flavour and a good crisp , very filling. 3. 3/5 Fried coconut squid , I was expecting a little more crisp and coconut , it seemed to be a thinner coating and quite large pieces of squid which were okay but much softer than I expected for a fried dish. 4. 3.5/5 Grilled chicken satay , it was labeled as chili peanut sauce but sauce was quite plain sweet peanut in my opinion , chicken was quite drowned in sauce as well not what I expected for grilled. 5. 10/5 , Crispy chicken wontons , these were amazing , crisp shell and juicy filling , served with a sweet honey mustard.

I was happy it wasn't gamey at all, and it was cooked beautifully with great flavor throughout. I also tried a bit of the personal chicken pizza, which had a perfect balance of cheese and chicken, really well done. We did try to get dessert, but unfortunately, what we wanted was sold out, which was a bit of a letdown. Overall, a great dining experience with quality food and a cool vibe. I'd definitely go back!

They give you the whole description of each dish upon delivery and I love that everyone pitches in and isn't necessarily delivered by an assigned waitress. Starting with the Cold Shuck Scallop which was basically a flower that I was instructed to squish and eat. The sauce permeated the flakes. The second dish was a Shokunin Handcone with seaweed straight from Japan. I liked the progressions from the raw to the 5 skewers consisting of: Shiitake Mushroom, Chicken Oyster, Chicken Wingette, Thigh dipped in tare, and Chicken Ass. These are served with a soy egg dip and side dishes. I didn't need any refills with so much food but they were good! All is the chicken was tender and perfectly cooked. I liked that they all tasted slightly differently and who would've thought they had chicken ass. Apparently it was so popular that you can only get it with the omakase now. The Wagyu Pastrami Burnt Ends were a cherry on top for the chicken. One of my favorites was the Yellow Chicken Bone Broth which was pure, simple, and delicious. I could drink this all day! Finally, the Sake Kasu Tiramisu was a unique deconstructed take on a classic. You can't ever go wrong with these flavors! The service overall was great. Loved watching all if the chefs at their stations. They were busy and on top of everything. The only things I can nitpick about: refilling water and knowing that I preordered the omakase. Other than that, they were perfect!

The starts of the experience - the Hokkaido scallop and the chicken ass (only available on the omakaze experience and cannot be ordered in the regular dining room now). Never felt rushed, unlimited sides. Only thing that could be improved is difficulty hearing the server and chef over the background music and restaurant noise. Lovely pours of interesting wines, fine specialty cocktails, a bunch of shared plates that included flatbreads, olives, charcuterie, cheese and ultimately a couple of dozen oysters that disappeared almost before the server was able to make it back to the kitchen. What's more to like? Especially nice touches on the oysters that sat on a bed of sea salt with toppings available that included fermented horseradish, a nicely seasoned jalapeno puree and a red wine reduction to perk up the briny little invertebrates. Yum. We did not mess around, spared no overindulgences (burp) and still barely managed to spend $300. Yes, that's a lot of money, but when something is this well put together, very well worth the price in my opinion. And when you're spending that much, any sin gets pointed out in great detail. No such issue. Love to return here and concur with fellow Yelpers the strong rating for this venue. Highly recommended.
